    Top notch entertainment my friend , It's totally different now than it was when I use to fish those flats in the 80's and 90's sadly but great to see there's still a lot of fish left out there . Love your series !

    • @IndianRiverPescador
      @IndianRiverPescador  Před 6 lety +1

      Rob I bet its a lot different. I know when I moved up here in the early 90's up to about 10 yrs ago the River was full of beautiful grass flats with sand holes that held tons of Snook,Trout and beautiful Slot Reds. I would go out and would be nothing to catch a slam along with a slot Red to maybe take home. Now when I catch a Red its not even a thought to keep one as scarce as they have become. Although I have been catching more Rat Reds which I hope is a sign that they are overcoming what we've done to the River. Thanks for watching and commenting

      I believe what they are spraying in my canal for weed control has been killing our grass flats slowly over the years . Peace !

    My grandmother moved to port st Lucie from Ballston spa N.Y. I know that intersection in the beginning of the vid , had my morning coffee under the Jensen beach causeway and watched the boats launch back in January

    Whoa, you were smoking that day. Nice snook, and that was a fatty trout. Great job.
    Used to be one of my favorite spots. Don't know if you ever noticed it, but a couple years ago I tied a rope to the big palm tree on the north side of the old trail and laid it along the brush to make it easier to cross the rip rap at the bottom after some bozo broke beer bottles on the rip rap. After about a year somebody stole the rope. LOL. Great job and tight lines

      @IndianRiverPescador  Před 6 lety +1

      jer tan I have been considering doing a Rope thing at all the areas that you can go down to help folks out with a little note saying compliments of IRP....lol. But figured someone would steal them😕

    That snook fishing looks fun! I see you're wearing waders, is the water cold this time of year?

      @IndianRiverPescador  Před 6 lety

      Snook fishing is awesome you have to try it one day.They are amazing fish! The water isn't cold but the river has had some issues over the years with algae and bacteria so I always feel more protective with them on...lol. Thanks for stopping by my channel.

    Like your commentary’s. I’m watching shows from two years back. Are you still filming? I just moved to PSL and looking for places to fish from shore. Any suggestions. Thank you.

    What is that round thing you are using with a net to put your fish? I live about 15 minutes from this place. Could I go out with you the next time you go. I'd like to learn.

    Good episode! Time of day? Do you like the wind from an easterly direction (with a chop)? Is the fishing good when the air is from a westerly direction and the near-shore waters are smooth? Keep them coming!

      I switch it up based on conditions but mostly what my gut tells me at times.Its mostly about trying to figure out where the fish will be hanging out.I just try and think like a fish and where they would be...lol. Thanks for the comments!

      I saw the same thing on the video too with your reel. Sometimes it’s a screw or spring is all that has to be fixed. I treat my reels like cars and oil changes. Once a year get them cleaned and greased check them out especially the drag goes out on them.
