HEY YOU ABOUT TO POST SOMETHING STUPID:
Yes, I know my hands are large/fat. It's because of a heart condition I suffer from called Congestive Heart Failure. Here's a link to some information about CHF: cle.clinic/2TdS2Ux
One of the symptoms is that it causes fluid retention, mostly in the hands, feet/ankles, and face..

This solder blower auto off and on..Position the blower lever up and it will turn off automatically, if the lever is down it will turn on
I've been repairing phones for a living for around 6 months now, I got a station similar (if not the same with another color scheme), and it has done a lot of work, even with days going for 6 hours straight turned on. Not a single problem, not once, besides a tip that needed replacement (also, I never used the tips that came with it, I got some aftermarket for it). Great for beginners and for working on it. I reolaced it now with an iron and a hot air gun separated, I will keep it as a backup. Recommended!
Rewet the SMD with leaded solder before using hot air to remove. Also add flux when removing components
From now on: All equipment from China should come with a subscription to Duolingo so one can learn how to read the instructions 🤣😂
That is a very nice gift from Uncle Rob, you did good Paul.
☮
Would love to know if the soldering iron tip is properly connected to ground.
So the question is what is powering the iron heater? This style of hot air wand is mains powered, controlled by the visible opto/diac/triac combo. However the iron heater is 24V and the usual iron/copper mains frequency transformer isn't present to furnish 24VAC. The small switcher ferrite transformer looks like it is good for about 10W or so and is probably just a flyback design powering the control circuitry. The fear is they are chopping mains cycles through the iron triac such that the iron element consumes its rated 50~70W. That'd be rather unorthodox as those replaceable iron units aren't designed with the expectation they have a path to the AC mains. But I suppose this is just another "death by chinese design" proposition.
Paul, Does anyone make an affordable system similar to the old Pace systems any longer? I am looking for a reliable all-in-one temperature controlled iron, hot air tool and desoldering pump system.
Thx for an interesting look inside - so would it be right to say the triac-driver chip plus the heat sunk transistor (presumably a triac) adjacent are bringing the voltage down to 30ish volts at 25amps to then be partly cleaned-up by that daughter board with the transformer and larger caps to run the display?
Might be interesting to scope those databus pins you spotted on the main board. 😀👍
A maquina ainda esta funcionando perfeitamente ate hoje ??
Awesome Early Present Paul, you won’t know yourself when you get use to it , great work keep it up mate🤙🏼🇦🇺
Oh and a hello to uncle Rob 🤙🏼🇦🇺
Hello Joe, nice seeing you here again.
@@robertwebb5586 I’m never too far away from Paul’s videos lol , hope your doing well mate, oh p.s your flux rocks 🤙🏼🇦🇺
So you used for a few mnths ,does it working fine now ??
Did you now how i can calibrate?
I just bought the same model. When I place the hot air gun on the base, it doesn't go to sleep. Sometimes it goes to sleep and starts randomly. I don't know, I'll go back to the store tomorrow.
Your's seems to be worse, because it did not woke up when you picked the soldering gun
I have that same problem, seller said the fan will working even though you put into the sleep cuz the fan trying to cool down that thing😅
You deserve this gift
nice gift I wish I had one
There he goes .....
I prefer the old model that uses a transformer.
Switching power supply is crappy.
What do you think about those 900m tips? My potentiometer controlled iron came with a pack of those but I am not able to tin them. Solder just won't stick even when using your cleaning technique (although it helps a little). When I got it I was a beginner and I didn't know I had to be careful with oxidation and it is probably already oxidized to no help so I've been searching for good quality tips but everything I find are no branded chinese packs. I'm about to buy a soldering station but I don't know if I should get one with those tips.
🙏🏻💯❤️🌟👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
the iron takea a lot of time to heat wtf
