hey I HAVE a problem . how many hours can you use the battery while surfing the web or casual uses?????? I can only use this battery about 1 hour.!!! actually I had bought a new battery recently but it is same as the old one.
Thanks for the review, I was eyeing this laptop up due to getting a good deal on it where I live (Though with a cheaper model) and this review convinced me to pick it up. Only two things I will say with mine; the "bouncing" screen is less bouncy for me. There's still some flex to it but its nowhere near as bad as your model. Maybe they did end up fixing it? Also, I get somewhat better read/write speeds with the 5400rpm drive, around 110 SEQ and 1.2 4K. However I only tested speeds after removing a lot of bloatware, so I'm not sure if that was having an effect prior to running it. Thanks again!

I have this laptop. I like it very much! It can handle new games over 40 fps. Thanks to Geforce experience you can get it up to about 60 or a little bit higher fps. It's not the best on the market, but it's a budget. I know there is high performance laptops out there, but they can be really expensive.
I like the more professional look the Pavillion laptops have. My one has a very similar design to the one in the vid however has a 9th gen i5 and gtx 1050 3gb and while it can run all new games at medium-high settings it can also be used for work etc because it looks professional. Very good laptop overall and I hope HP keeps to this professional, business design while still delivering unrivaled raw performance at this price point.
I handled it in a local shop, construction is really low grade, and as described in the video, the top really flexes too much, same for the screen when you press the bottom in the middle ! It's sad because specs are not too bad. Now they have a new version AK-190 in place of AK-090, listed as 300 grams heavier, let's hope the build is a bit better.
I got this laptop as a birthday gift, it has a quad core i5. My dad said he bought it for around 890$, right there, it's a better product for the price. With a cooling pad and the magic of msi afterburner, I can get quite some power from it!

HP sells this in NZ. I might look into getting it. My HP ab222tx has only an i5-6200 and Intel Iris 520. Your machine has a high end i7-6700HQ which is quad core not duo and 2.6-3.5Ghz faster processor. And it's fairly priced and packaged but I'd prefer white or silver. i5-6200 struggles to play Cities Skylines and Planet Coaster. I think GTX 950M is compatible with Windows 10. AMD R7 360M isn't if it were I'd be able to manually switch which graphics I wanted to use.

Would just like to say I own the HP Pavilion 15t gaming and the HP pavilion dv2000 and the 15t is way more powerful it will handle anything pretty much you can run battle front at 60 frames so just keep that in mind when looking at purchasing

+shloopy5 For comparison, trying to open Adobe Premiere in HDD will take about 50 seconds to finish. Meanwhile in SSD, it's around 10 seconds. It's pretty important if you want to load games faster.

+אבישי ברגר I got the Inspiron 7559, and it's pretty damn awesome. I got the i5 version with a SSD off of amazon for $800. I still haven't installed a spinner on it, but it just presents a much better value than the HP.
I like the design a lot. I don't need the bells and whistles that you pay for with an Alienware or MSI laptop with the same performance. The real sense camera is a plus as well. Overall its a great laptop. You will pay a little more for high end specs but imo it was well worth it. Also Dell's laptops have a major security flaw, on the level of lenovos superfish, that I don't think they have fixed. That weighed heavily on my decision to grab this laptop instead of a Dell this time.

I dont understand why they didnt just update the hp omen line with better specification and chassis for better cooling. Omen looks sick but it isnt as popular as y50 and aspire v nitro because of price-performance ratio, just remove the touchscreen feature and get a better gpu and cpu man!

Its very subjective to call the design "boring". Most people like me dont actually like gaming laptops that look like it was designed by aliens or car companies. It looks modest enough to take to university. Also at 1:24, unless you got a different model from mine, it's not a DVD drive, It's just a slot to install a HDD, SSD or an optical drive in the future.

I would really recommend this HP Pavilion 15 Gaming Laptop because: 1.Removal battery...It would be really useful if you want to play games on it with higher fps...If you overcharged the battery you will need to buy a new one so it's useful compared to the Dell Inspiron 17559. 2.8gb ram,1tb hdd, backlit keyboard... ITS JUST AWESOME.. I would really recommend this..

About the 16gb, yes. It's DDR3L. There's 2 RAM slots.

I also found that the Asus GL552VW-CN471T has about the same specs as this laptop but has a gtx 960m and intel i7 6700 onboard for about the same price. Would the asus be better recommended then or is HP better quality build as the asus is made out of plastic apparently.

I would really recommend this HP Pavilion 15 Gaming Laptop because:
1.Removal battery...It would be really useful if you want to play games on it with higher fps...If you overcharged the battery you will need to buy a new one so it's useful compared to the Dell Inspiron 17559.
2.8gb ram,1tb hdd, backlit keyboard... ITS JUST AWESOME..
