ali's greatest challenger was frazer, but ali took boxing to a whole new level, he made it more then just boxing, this is why ali remains the greatest and frazer, as ali's best opponent. ali boxed for a higher purpose whilst frazer fought for himself and his pride. this is undoubtably the best fight of past present and future. they were the real kings of boxing.
Now that everybody and their mother trash talks their opponent and acts like their the greatest it has lost it’s flair and has become common. Ali and Duran were the best at it but it’s over. We’re now moving into the world that Ali kept fighting for a world where the strong are just the weak secure and the peace is preserved. But don’t get me wrong the physical excitement and greatness will be there but this time there will be no being screaming for help but they will be busy shocking the world.
Lancaster was HORRIBLE calling this fight... (find it on CZcams, it is sad and funny) He called them boys so many times I thought the other guy was going to punch him. I don't think Lancaster had ever seen a fight either.
Ali was the better fighter for most of the fight. However, the judges, like the rest of the establishment & most of whites at the time, were rooting & hoping for Frazier to win & that knockdown in the 15th round sealed it for them.
