Ivz found out about this by accident in my longest game I honestly thought it was common knowledge I found out when hounds attacked my base wall with the tree as decor next to wall they just kept running at me and couldn’t get trough

Have you tried signs? Can't be broken by any of those guys and are considerably cheaper :)
Just use the C key of the Geometric Placement mod for a fast re-craft and you can plant them really close to each other (if crafted directly from the menu they'll have that red area that blocks the placement of another structure)
And it really doesn't matter if they're burned or not. They'll work just the same.

Signs are ok too, but I was just looking for a cheap alternative. Although good thing about sign is that unlike burnt trees they do not vanish over time.
I rarely recommend mods, but thanks for that tip on geo mod, I'll try them myself!
@@JamesBucket Yeah, I have the game since launch and never used or recommended mods (I'm a purist), until about two years ago (I think), when I started messing with Geo and Action Queue Reborn. Long story short, since I'm ALSO a tiny bit neurotic for symmetry, I made them my only two regular add-ons to the game.
I started using signs for about anything related with enclosures because I used to play the vanilla single player a LOT and minerals are really not that plentiful over there (I think some are even non-renewable, to be honest, but I'm not 100% sure).

I still die so much i hate it, i learn a lot about how to play, but getting good is so difficult, especially since the cool characters have weaknesses, such as needing to eat souls but loosing sanity when doing so, being unable to get wet, or hated by pigmen.

My dumbest death in don’t starve together was to right stick drag

I had some meatballs and was about to starve I went to eat them and my right stick drag kicked in and somehow managed to land perfectly on monster meat that i had due to killing spiders as Wendy I was pretty low since there were spider warriors and there were 3 tier 3 eggs
And just telling you this biome was full of spiders there were eggs everywhere on your screen I only wanted to aggravate 2 tier 1-2s but abbagail was being stupid and aggravated a couple of tier threes someone came with me to help but he died lol but abbagail managed to kill them all at level 2
I am playing the game for years now and just got this. Wow, never knew I will learn new tricks

furthermore, use wood walls instead because they're cheaper yet still formidable
in older versions you could even place only trees close

couldent you just double side the wall? then it would have trees on both sides with 2 rows of walls in the middle.
How long would the wall have to be on either side for the monster ai to not run around? Would I have to place this wall all around my base or is a long enough line of trees and stone walls going to fool them?
well, you've got to think of what direction they'll be coming from, and what exactly you want protected from the mobs (your entire base? yourself? flammable structures?).

Whit that mod i didn't test the tree+wall but for sure lureplants, fossil and statue's and tables don't bodyblock.
Also mob's have more skills and attacks so is primordial to be alert during fights over all vs bosses

Will this work with Dfly's Lavae?
Good question, and unfortunately lavaes are too small and will get through trees. A slightly more expensive yet affordable alternative to that is science machine. Just have one science machine in the middle of a very long straight wall.

nah, sign has the same hitbox size as trees, so lavaes will jump through that as well
