Been following hockey since the late 1950’s. Kucherov is one of the greatest passing forwards I’ve ever seen! Wow! What a pass!
The man can shoot as well! He's underrated when talking about the best in league. Still has the highest single season point total of any active player.

My theory is this Bolts team was a silent killer in the regular season. They know what they’re made of, and they simply played at about 80-85% and now going 110% in the post season. We are seeing a legendary run. This team will be remembered up there with legendary runs like the red wings and Habs. Absolute animals
my least favorite team in the league tbh... but i thought it was crazy the odds vegas gave them to win it all. At thet start of the playoffs they were had like the 7th best odds to win the cup... I made a big bet thats starting to look possible right now.

@@jon8004 agreed, the skills of these young guys is insane, sure they also have some benefits of better stick/equipment technology but so many 3rd line guys in today's game could have been top line even just 10 years ago. As for goalies, the more I see Vasy in the playoffs, the more he reminds me of Patrick Roy.
And in the past, they were stopping less accurate and generally not as hard of shots yes, but they were also doing it in equipment I don't think any modern goalie would survive a game in 😅 I only play pick up games these days but after a 15 year break from the game I played a couple times with my old late 90s gear including a top of the line (for the times at least) itech chesty... Even playing the level I did, those shots hurt like they never had 15 years earlier!! Gotta love everyone having composite sticks now 😅

Still can't believe this was an entire year ago. I remember this game so well it feels like it was yesterday. My dad and I were watching it in the TV room and we were pretty relaxed towards the end because we just figured it was going to OT. Then that goal just came basically out of nowhere....that adrenaline rush and euphoria from a hockey moment like this is unmatched. I wish I could relive that moment
Both Bobrovsky and Vasilevskiy made insane stops on shots that were deflected off of heavy shots in the last ten minutes of the third. Absolutely incredible. The Bobrovsky one especially WAS INSANITY. You can see him in the replay adjust his glove hand as the shot happens. Full extension above his head and he nails it. Craziness. Unfortunate that it will be the Kucherov assist that is most remembered about this game, but I mean... that was also a perfect play. The fact that Tampa is finding ways to win on the razor's edge shows their experience. It can't be much else. Just a crazy good game. I hope the Panthers find their way to execute on those chances they are generating - would love to see this go 7 games.

Vassy is second to none.! Bob is ok but not great or he would be playing all the games in the playoffs. And im sure he wont be in net sunday, it'll be knight. At this point it's safe to say vassy will go down as the greatest goal tender ever to play hockey after he retires. LETS GO BOLTS.

Yeah, probably - dude is ridiculously consistent and clutch. Who knows though, if they three-peat in this era... maybe that's enough for GOAT. But they have to do it still. Love the enthusiasm though! These playoffs are the best hockey I've ever seen
In a matter of seconds, the Panthers went from confident president's trophy winners to devastated 2-0 series trailers with 2 away games coming up
they couldnt score a goal in powerplay even if they got 100 chances. Last video comments I said it's gonna be a sweep and people laughed at me.

Just ANOTHER highlight to add to the THOUSANDS to show what happens when you don't play till the horn sounds. If Tampa wins this series, doesn't matter if they play the Canes or Rangers in next round because neither one of them will get past Tampa.
Toronto's hard play in round one helped set the momentum for the Lightning.

@@frank7010 Your comment aged like fine wine. The lightning ended up losing to the avalanche due to a missed call of too many men on the ice for the Avs, which then resulted in a game winning goal for them - which ultimately led to to them taking the Stanley cup.
In other news, the ref called a bolts goal in game 2 of the leafs this season as "no good" because he didn't see it go in. He blew the play dead after the puck went in, but because he never saw the puck go in, it didn't count. They reviewed it and could clearly see the puck go in after the whistle, but it was an "on the spot" call so they just didn't count it. The goal didn't count and the leafs ended up tying the game in the last minute by pulling the keeper and then won it in overtime. That call literally lost us the game. We're currently down 3-1 in the series against the leafs and game 5 is tonight in Toronto. It's looking all but over unfortunately. Still love the Bolts, happy to see them in the playoffs
What a game that was. Now that’s playoff hockey. That’s gotta be a crushing loss for the Panthers . They had there chances and somehow came up short. Can they come back? It wouldn’t entirely surprise me. That’s been their trademark.
But , Tampa are showing they are for real as the defending champs, and their core can still get it done. They appear destined for a cup final the way things are going. A peak performing Vasilevski and Kucherov looks like big trouble...

Tampa hasnt lost back to back in the playoffs in like 17 straight series.. now Florida will either have to win 3 in a row, or back to back twice. Not saying its impossible, but definitely not looking good.

Just absolutely devastating for the Panthers. I can't see a way for them to overcome this and beat Tampa 4 out of the next 5 games. This series is essentially over.

@@frank7010 Unfortunately hockey is such a luck-based sport. In the most recent lightning vs leafs games, the leafs scored like 2 or 3 goals that were off target, but they went in due to bouncing off of players. They won the game because of it.

Looks like its going to be a short series, Lightning are in full form. I'm sure the Lightning are very glad the road games were in Sunrise, Florida coming off that brutal travel schedule in the series against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
I have to be honest, the only team left in the playoffs I think standing a chance against Tampa Bay as far as mental efficiency with overall roster talent and depth is St. Louis. They the only other team left besides Tampa Bay to win a Stanley Cup in the last three years and still have some of the leftovers from that 2019 team.

@@sharkzillahtornado6059 you're taught as a young player to protect the front of the net. The player behind the net, his chances of scoring are slim so you're told to not chase him behind and don't leave the middle wide open. It's a really bad mistake, especially this late in the game.

When you an offensive team and cant score more than 1 goal. The Panthers are the type of team to score 4 and give up 3 and the Panther PP is not working. Credit to TBs defense and goalie.

Forsling didn't do anything wrong. Weegar left his man. He is the ABSOLUTE worst defenseman in the playoffs

@@lionsbreath22nope, no matter how well Forsling played, he also gets the goat here in this situation as he also failed a basic hockey 101 lesson here. Both defenders are supposed guard the goal line at each goal post beside the goalie to guard against the pass and wait for another backchecking forward to flush out or tie up the opposing forward behind the net. Kucherov's eyes lit up like dollar signs when both D men gave chase and Gretzky is likely guffawing and ROTFLing somewhere after watching that highlight (or lowlight).
@@Mikgwerd I agree, but certainly Weegar bears the brunt of the responsibility for that one... He was no doubt thinking about the time ticking out and forgot to think about what he was actually doing, positioning-wise.

Been a Panther fan since day one. Had high hopes for them this year but 1-1 is a lot easier than 2-0 to win a series. They still have a chance but it ain't looking good.

Then afterwards, the wings won back to back. So did the bolts
Then in the second round of the following season, the wings went back home up 2-0 in the series and ultimately lost. What if this is the bolts? I know it's weird to compare the two but after witnessing the bolts the last few years I cant help but be reminded of that.

The lightning sure like to score goals late in the period in game 2's, game 2 of the cup finals coleman scored with 0.3 seconds left in the period and Colton scores with 3.8 seconds left tonight

Mackenzie Weeger made an absolutely brain dead decision to go after Kucherov behind the net with only seconds left. If he had stayed in front and covered his man, that goal would not have been scored.
