Awesome video, cool truck, and Andre has become the number one automotive reviewer/presenter on YT IMO.
Wow, thanks!
Genuine enthusiasm from a good man. I agree he is for sure the best car reviewer on YT. But him and Nathan together is even better. That duo just works.
As long as they keep Roman away I can get through a whole video.
Andre, you are TFL. Do your own channel. Roman is dragging you down.
@@voltecrules624Andre and Nathan should have their own thing on yt,that greedy roman just uses these guys to make more money, hes annoying and arrogant and i hate how fake he is,and that stupid laugh of his, also fake as hell
That wrap is amazing. Totally OEM look and preserved the stainless steel character of the original design. I am not an EV fan but this truck looks better than the factory. This is how it should have come from Tesla.
Yes! Looks sooooooo much better than the raw stainless steel.
I was visiting friends in Alaska recently and extreme temps are definitely area for improvement with specifically BEVs, and hybrids seem to fail ever more often due to having the worst of both worlds. If not a bother, might you elucidate upon your position regarding EVs, and if you mean BEVs or including hybrids?
I've not had a car wrapped, how much would that cost ? How much further are you inflating the total cost of this truck ?
@@daveallen7767If you have to ask it's not for you 😂
But now when people kick your truck, it will scuff.
Glad Andre did this video. Roman would have been whining about Elon the entire time.
I agree. Andre is much more focused on the content rather than voicing his opinion about things (or people) that are irrelevant to the video.

I probably used the full sized spare on my golf a half dozen times over 10 years. Almost exclusively on road trips where it saved my bacon. Popped that sucker on and kept going.
Thanks Andre for being so open, was a really great talk between you two.
Nice video, heads up though the link to Eric's channel doesn't work
Drove through a construction zone while towing my fifth wheel last year. Picked up a nail and had to change a tire on my F350. If I had remembered tire plugs, I could have plugged it. Even with plugs, I would want a spare in case of sidewall damage…
That's why I moved to E load. Last thing I need is a flat while towing.
I am driving vehicles since 1981. I had a flat once 30 years ago and did not have a functioning spare. I went to the tire shop 10 minutes away and let them repair the tire. I don't have any spare tires in any of my cars anymore.
@@wolfgangpreier9160 Top tip: Don't try that in rural Australia.
Magical fun fact: you cant plug Tesla tires. They have a foam layer below the tread that makes them not able to be plugged without risk of falling apart at high speeds. No tire shop will touch them. So, he better find a spare or know a shop REALLY close by.
@@ignignxkt Really?
I wouldn't keep anything under the bed related to securing what is IN the bed. If you need an extra strap, and are already loaded you are screwed. The frunk would be a great place for them though.
This has no frunk as far as I understand.
@@unconventionalideas5683 Didn't you watch the video? It is small but it has one. There is also storage under the bed of the fruck. The spelling was intentional.
Wow amazing truck, looks futuristic, it’s amazing that it’s bulletproof, like that you can power things. I would definitely take it camping.
It's not bullet proof , it's small arms resistant at best. A large bore handgun or rifle will go right thru those panels . The glass is also not bullet proof. I guess you could cut a deal with the bad guys to only shoot at the body with small ammo .
@@bobbybishop5662😂
you'd be amazed at how often people shoot your door panels with low-velocity projectiles! so useful.
Really good job on the interview Andre! I'm waiting on mine (confirmed order 12/28). This was a really informative video. My biggest disappointment was also the range. That is why I opted for the range extender battery. That won't be available until 4th quarter, however. Still keeping my diesel trucks for long distance towing.
Excelent video. Love the personal touch and first impressions - reaction from an owner is the best!
Enjoyed every minute of this video. TFL did it. Butter EV chill dude. Subscribed. Can't wait for mine to come. Ordered 2x, Dual and Tri Foundation both.
Great video TFL!! First video you guys didn’t demean Tesla and the Cybertruck!! To see a cybertruck owner that loves his truck is awesome.
You can hear the regret grow as Andre asks more questions the longer the interview goes. His enthusiasm only appears when he talks about the attention he gets from it. Funny.
Yes, teslas are really bad cars. Not comparble to your real cars. Right? It does not even have a crusty exhaust!
Ah! Ah! Nice try! Tesla (an American company) wins again! Get some! Murica! 🇺🇸 🦾🤗
You are projecting buddy
Why do you feel the need to lie? He was like that from the beginning of the video.
Thank you men. Time tells on the longevity.
Tesla are Designed to last a LIFETIME.& multiple owners.
thanks guys for another great and informative video. definitely like getting Eric perspective. i will say i was towing my travel trailer to the lake a couple of years ago and I was about halfway there, and my tire went flat, it turned out the valve stem blew out. definitely a good idea to have a spare because even if you check your tires regularly you might not see a valve stem is about to go lol!!!!!
Regarding the lack of spare, I think an air compressor and puncture kit and sidewall patches will get you to the tire store in most situations. There are rare situations where it won't help, like a broken rim or you find out you're driving on cords (this has happened to me). But with a handful of compact items, the spare tire would just be a backup for your backup.
Great 1st impressions video Andre!
You are able to change gears from above at the rear view mirror post.
That is intentional redundant backup as well.
Yes. We know this.
in case the tablet goes out. lol. what a crap design.
This is the best looking cyber truck I’ve seen so far🔥
What kind of wrap is that? Is it vinyl? Where’d you get it done?
The wrap looks great, excellent interview. CT is not for me but I don't hate it.
I imported a Toyota Troopy 4.5 Diesel instead myself.
I would like a Ford E-transit equeivalent with Tesla tech underneath. Including Tesla Software and App and Safety and and and. Do you know another product delivering those?
That is the best cyber truck wrap Ive seen. It's jaw dropping awsome
How much for the wrap?
Have you driven it in winter snow storm? The lights seem like they would quickly fill up with snow and block the lights. Especially the side marker lights. Any thoughts?
That wrap makes that thing look so much better... I used to think it was just stupid and dumb looking but I'm not going to lie it's starting to grow on me and it's because of that wrap.
Snow digital camo has been my favorite wrap so far.
"Have you had any issues with it so far?" asks André. "No..." *dome light fail, mirror light fail immediately follows
Has to be better than my Maverick after a year and a half. Coolant loss with coolant valve failure, seat flexing tear forming, 12 volt battery not charging, modem failure (meaning no wifi, no GPS, no long distance start, no ford app use), brake force inconsistent, driveline shutter, airbag recall, crankshaft failure bandaid recall (no full fix determined yet) emergency stop actuation (going into some driveways and parking lot entrances), door unlock on door handles doesn't work sometimes. Nice review, first video I've watched checking out the inner parts of this vehicle.
To tell the truth I think it’s ugly, but that’s just me. I’m all about to each his own. I do think the wrap greatly improves look. Should have made frunk big enough for golf bag(which is about the only place you’ll see these😊). Great vid guys.

Tor local deliveries or maybe 50 miles towing - a tonne or 2, it can work -ie a larger milk float.
For "real hotshot" work, yep, get out of here.... Grab a Duramax or Cummins.

What does a good quality wrap cost for the Cybertruck?
Isn't it strange how not having a spare tire is somehow a good thing... That is when you know the person is justifying their purchase by making a flaw a feature, making excuses like "how many times have you needed it".... There are millions of fire extinguishers that are never used. Most seatbelt users do not need a seatbelt, some don't EVER need it. Most airbags do not pop, ever in their lifetime. Not having it is ok until you need it. That is why the spare tire is there, most do not need it, EVER. Doesn't mean it is not necessary.
Fans not demanding better things is why companies get away with this shit. They are shielding the company from valid critique, defending them for no pay.
Absolutely. There's no way I'd accept paying that much and not even getting a spare tire. Last time I bought tires, I ended up buying 5 of them because the spare was 10 years old and had never been used, but it was old enough to dry-rot a bit and so it had a slow leak. It was still worth the cost to know that if I need it, it's there and I'm not wasting money on tow trucks instead of just a few minutes spent changing a tire.
Definitely will not be going off road without a spare. I live in Wyoming pretty rural and I need a spare and I also need a truck I can not have to wait 6 hours to recharge. However I I guess if it works for him it works for him. I need something that is not built for style, but for actual use.
Tesla fandom must come with a course on making excuses. Control stalks and buttons are "overly complicated". Large battery is "wasted weight".
He never said it was a good thing
It's extra weight you carry every day which costs you range. Spare when you need it good solution. Tires are 35" so heavy.
his channel link in the description does not work, and i can't find him by searching for 'butter ev'

lol. according to the manual. you're not supposed to drive it. just take it out of your garage so your neighbors can see how much money you have and rub it with a diaper if it gets wet...
@butter_ev What color of wrap is this? I like the overall OEM look of it! 👌
CITY: You don't need a spare tire, bring a tire-plug kit and a small compressor to refill the tire after you plug (Patch) it.
HAULING A TRAILER: You could put a spare tire on the trailer.
OFF-ROADING: 3rd Party bracket to hold a tire on the outside of the tailgate like a jeep, or maybe someone will make a roof mount for a spare tire down the road..
While a patch kit is good. You still need a spare for sidewall damage.
Vaportruck! Love it, can't wait to see how it ages 10 years from.
Great wrap! What's the brand and model of the wrap called? It definitely carries the essence of dark stainless steel look.

This ppf looks amazing! Does anyone know what the product name is?
That wrap is unreal. ❤
I’m a general contractor and literally get at least 1 flat per year. I run e load BFG Ko2’s. The lack of a spare tire is ridiculous. Not a real truck.
CT is a Truck that's REAL Tough, goes anywhere, and is SMG bullet proof.
also has MORE utility than F150 ICE.
@@markplott4820 The major flaw with all current EV trucks with the exception of the silverado is the range . If you want to drive it like a car and go shopping with it then fine it can be like a MY with a bed. But you aren't going to take it to the woods to go camping for a week the battery is just too small. (unless your camping in your back yard). I would never buy the F150 lightning but it has much more utility then the CT
@@crimsondecade7420 - Ummm , RANGE is a NON issue when BEV is made very EFFICIENT and has Superchargers every 30 miles or so.
MOST people dont ROAD TRIP daily , and can FULLY charge overnight from $3.
they can Drive all day for WORK on single charge.
@@crimsondecade7420It depends on which sort of truck tasks you do. If you are a carpenter who works in the city, like someone related to me, EV trucks make sense. If you do long distance high speed towing with heavy payloads, forget it.
I never minded the yoke and the blinker button, but I HATE swiping to drive or reverse. I also hate the horn button which they fixed on the Cybertruck
can't see hating the swipe to drive or reverse since you do that only while you are stopped? Seems like the turn signals on buttons would be harder to get used to.
@@brucec954 problem with the swipe is if you don’t perfectly execute it, it doesn’t take. Super annoying especially when executing a multipoint turn in the middle of a busy road or something like that. The blinkers are great both hands stay on the wheel and it is just a move of the thumb. Kinda like driving a motorcycle and the thumb blinkers
@@brucec954 Ever drive with gloves on? Besides, even if it works perfectly, it’s still irritating that they intentionally made something worse for 0 gain elsewhere. At least they still have the buttons on the ceiling, I’d be using that all the time.
Hey, just wanted to let you know that there are buttons under the rear view mirror that let you put the car in drive or reverse. So you don't have to swipe if you don't want to. Also if the screen should not work you still have them.
Great video , nice flow.
I have very positive impressions towards the Cybertruck, but your closing comments are why I would hesitate being an early adopter-I am one who doesn’t seek attention. I had the first Model Y in my area in 2020 and enjoyed the questions and talking to people about electrification as well as driving an EV. Eventually that won’t be an issue.
Were you using the Tesla supercharger when you said you got it down to 90 miles of range and it took a hour and fifteen minutes?
Great choice on the wrap!!!
Is the wrap just clear ppf matte??
TFL - You've got the perfect contact with Tesla, Kimbal Musk lives in Boulder CO (runs/owns "The Kitchen" restaurant). Interesting reading these comments...many people seem to change their opinion (both pos/neg) after seeing it in person. So I'll reserve my opinion until I see it in person.
Had it for nine days, he's still in the honeymoon stage. Of course, he loves it.
Excellant complete and honest!
your front lights are broken. There are touch sensitive. its supposed to come on when you touch them. Mine works fine.
A truck towing or going offroad without a spare is the epitome of dumb. It's not a matter of if but when you get a flat. If you are alone and/or miles from rescue, you are royally screwed. A spare tire on a truck should be standard.
Tow a spare tire, too. 😂😂😂
A ford will come tow it out😂

Wish he had the MTS custom wrap website in description. Nicest black brushed aluminum ive seen. Best video on CT yet. Bravo.
The official name of the wrap is 3m 2080 film in brushed black metallic.
I'm curious about the charging stations for these electric vehicles. Does the rates vary by location like gas prices will vary by location.
Tesla supercharger prices do vary slightly by location. I've had a Model 3 for 5 years and supercharger prices have gone up significantly in that time. I do 90% of my charging at home and only us superchargers for road trips
Yes
you can see ALL the prices @ Tesla supercharger & Tesla uses Congestion pricing.
Location and sometimes time of day.
But 90%+ of charging happens at home/workplace. Just plug in every few days.
How easy is it to charge with a trailer attached? The super chargers I've seen near me are generally in big box store parking lots and all the drivers back up to them. I have no personal experience with them. I hope one wouldn't have to unhitch to charge.
To me, this is the biggest problem… Even the range deficit from the announcement I could accept if Tesla would provide at least a “pull-thru” dispenser at most superchargers, but they’re unfortunately quite rare… In Europe they’re plentiful. 😢
some Tesla supercharger are pull through.
There are some supercharger stations that have 2-3 extra chargers where you can park with a trailer attached. I guess tesla will add them to most superchargers over the next year when there are more and more people that tow a trailer with the cybertruck.
Best wrap color ive seen so far. Looks like gunmetal.
As hard as EV's are on tires, I would think it more important to have a spare. Are the tires on the CT a standard off-the-shelf size that you could easily find on a trip?
is that brushed steel wrap?
Beautiful Truck. I Love my short box Sierra Truck.
I’m just beginning to realize I have been on the fence about the cyber truck because of the stainless steel exterior. What’s scary is that, it’s only going to get better. My only problem is that sore thumb looking wiper. It sticks out like a 6th finger. Perhaps if the wiper hangs from the top with a shield protection. Aesthetically, the truck will have a better symmetry. Nevertheless, This is the bramah bull of trucks. Love it 👌🏾
I have yet to see anyone video that ginormous wiper in motion. It seems it would leave 1/4 of the windshield 'unwiped'?
How much is that special good year tire?
About the spare tire… I drive around 30k miles a year. I average about a tire a year (already had a sidewall blow out this year). A vehicle that comes with at least a donut is a make a break deal for me. I don’t drive any where crazy, I’m just commuting from Indiana to Chicago. As a truck focused channel I’m surprised you have that opinion about spare tires
I do not carry and spend energy on things i do not need. Not in more than 40 years f driving.
We vacation in Montana & Wyoming usually 2 weeks per year, run kayaks on rivers & car-camp at river accesses. Spare tire needed on average every other year. I'm not willing to wait 1 or 2 hours for tire repair service to drive out to remote areas, plus we don't always have cell service. Spare tire is a must.
@@daveallen7767 Interesting country you are living in. Why do you not use your guns to defend against those shooting your tires?
There are, and will be more spare tire options. It just won’t be standard, as not everyone needs one.
I drive on average over 75k a year and have had to utilize a spare one time. I was less than a mile from my house and the tires were probably 25 years old on a vehicle I had recently started driving and had been sitting for some time. I have plugged tires on the side of the road but none of the punctures were bad enough that I couldn't simply add some air and continue about my journey and fix it when I got to where I needed to go.
lol, straps should not go in the sub trunk they should be in the frunk. Once’s you’ve loaded the bed, good luck getting another strap if needed.
Funny how everyone hates finger prints on stainless steal appliances but will never buy plain white or black one... Why is that???
Because white especially but black too means cheapest appliance.
@@is6566 But you don't drive your appliances around town, through rain and snow and sand and dirt. You also don't have guests coming over daily. Vehicles are seen by outsiders far more often and people's finish choices will depend on what they find value in. Some people buy white cars for a clean look. Some buy black trucks even though they live in the desert cuz they want it "murdered out". Others buy red, blue, or yellow to stand out.
- the guest could get a retractable tonneau cover for his Ram - readily available - options abound..
External, weather proof push button to operate, not a great stretch (simple to integrate with central locking using a low power SS relay/or latching relay).
Just add a flat roof, that’s all it needs to look amazing.
BIG OVERLOOKED POINT. (Inspecting" tire to eliminate flats is a pipe dream) Spare Tire needs a jack big enough to lift truck UNLESS YOU CAN USE PNEUMATIC SUSPENSION to lift then lower on blocks. Unless tire self destruction and if nail is in tread area, use an emergency plug patch to get to a repair shop. Does CT have a compressor?
- any 3Tonne bottle jack will lift a wheel - even if "fully loaded"... (it has compressor for suspension, not to pump tyres - there is a $550 option).
there is an optional compressor but basicly it is a 110V model you plug into the outlet of the back of the truck
Personally I think putting the drive selector on the ceiling is pretty cool. Like starting a space ship or something
too bad it's a car and not a space ship... maybe they should have designed a car.
I’m happy with my ram 1500
The tab on the door comes with experience in making vehicles for a long time.
I've been able to do a 6.7 0 to 60 with the AWD. With brake boast and removing track control
so important in a truck...
Is anyone working on a removable in-bed battery system as an equivalent to an auxiliary diesel tank?
Not a fan of the CT in general but his looks much better than the stock look.
