Jim Gaffigan is a treasure. He did live-streams every evening from his apartment in NYC during the pandemic as he and his family made, then ate, dinner. It was very cool. He and his family are adorable, and his wife is a peach!!
I watched one of those. His family seems so nice!
She may be a peach, but her tumor was a pear.
Would have been more cool to live-stream while he was out living life rather than as a volunteer prisoner.

Jim is one of the only clean comics that can make me laugh as hard as the dirty ones and I really respect that. It also enables a bigger audience to enjoy his comedy, such as children.

Every vacation we go on we listen to him or Brian Reagan in the vehicle with our kid in the car… since their bits tend to be a little more family friendly

First thing I ever saw of Jim Gaffigan was watching 'King Baby' on cable with my sister. We laughed till we cried at some of his jokes. And yes, he is a go-to preference of mine for clean comedy.
One of my favorite bits from Jim is when he was talking about Hot Pockets.

At many large US hospitals that I've been to the entry area looks more like a fancy hotel reception area than a hospital, pianos included.
For the record, hospital food in the U.S. is better than what most people eat on a day-to-day basis. It's just custom to complain about hospital food. lol
It only tastes like sh*t cause your figurative “mom” is upstairs fading into oblivion.

@@_MOORE_1986 I guess I need to clarify myself. I was a cook and a baker. I went to school to learn. Hospital food IS more nutritious than what most people in a day... but I have eaten in hospital cafeterias, and eaten while being hospitalized. Their food lacks flavor, mainly because of no salt or fat. It is also way overcooked, cooked to mush. I have no desire to eat hospital food. If you have found a good hospital to eat at, they must have a better dietician and better cooking staff that care about their product... than the ones where I've eaten.
Depends a great deal on the hospital and why you are there. I've had decent food in hospital cafeterias but more often than not it is subpar and that is especially true for food delivered to patients, food that is bland out of necessity.
Many years ago I was scheduled to have 2 surgeries, which ended up being 5, along with 9 separate trips to the hospital for a total of 63 days of hospitalization. I guess I was in the Couldn't Care Less Unit.

I worked at a hospital for about a month as an independent contractor hooking up their IT. They had a great cafeteria. They had a make-your-own sandwich bar and other great selections. I was surprised at how good it was.

You guys have a grand piano in your NHS hospitals, too? I'm a nurse and it's grim. lol It's why doctors love working in the U.S. They get all the money, and the patients get all the pain, then get kicked out by the insurance companies asap.

8:15 Wow Dave answered my question inadvertently that I had for years. When I visit my family in Birmingham people would always be suspicious of me and thought it was a race thing but at same time didn't think it was. Was very confusing lol. But being Canadian (still have Jamaican accent) we are just nice people. I say Hi when I walk by someone or give a nod. I stop and chat with people. Now I know why they were suspicious must turn of the Canadian next visit lol.

Jim is awesome for family night. Super funny for adults but doesn't make you exclude the kids like Burr or O'Neal would.
You should look up his skit on Hot Pockets and/or Bacon. Although, the one about bowling is hilarious as well.

'how do you make a brain tumor funny?' well, it's time for you guys to look up a little Tig Notaro. She's got a set called 'Tig Notaro: Live' ('Live as in 'to live a life') as far as I know, it's just audio of a set she did at a show, but she makes a triple header tragedy funny. I doubt audio is good for the channel (and it's a 30 minute set) but you should give it a listen sometime.

I had a friend who would go to the hospital cafeteria to eat lunch because it was cheap. He talked me into going once, it was cheap but very bland. No salt or any spice.
Food in U.S. hospital is still icky. Though theyve figured out deep fried french fries and chicken tenders are a hit. Bout time. Those prepackaged sandwishes look like they crying out: kill me! Kill me! Course, they could be used as a diet aid. One look at those , youre no longer hungry!
he's a clean comic maybe because he has 5 or 6 kids and figures one day they might want to see his act , also he and his wife are religious , imagine having morals in such a jaded industry {show biz }

The hospitals around DC. Especially northern Virginia have Panera bread. Starbucks. An assortment of good food cafès . There so good Some people might come to the hospital to take there lunch break. Better than McDonald’s or any fast food places.

Gaffigan and Brian Regan are the 2 least funny comedians I've ever seen, I'll never understand how people can laugh at their simple-minded/childish "humor"... I've tried being opened minded about them but I've given up, I've never seen a single funny joke from either of them. If you need to talk funny and make sound effects to make people laugh then your material just isn't that good
