A walkthrough of how to return to Guarma and then get back to main map. I did not discover these methods and all audio is from the game.

The giant black cube is my favorite thing in the whole map. What was planned there and never got finished?
If you do the Angelo Bronte mission in chapter 4 which disables the sniper it will also disable the sniper in guarma. You do have to be on an unpatched version of the game though, I was on 1.0.
Steps essentially
1 get a horse across the river
2 glitch into mexico
3follow the three hilled cliff east till you get into guarma
4 go around the ocean on the map
5 follow it till you get to low poly land and start to climb a nonexistent hill
6 head south
7 get to the playable area
8 TAHITI
I found an easier way: SAVE FIRST!!!cross the river and drink until you pass out, then run south until you fall through the ground. You will then spawn in Guarma. To leave Guarma you have to save then exit to the main menu. Load back in and you should be back on the main land.

Yo people we need to get this man more subs like straight up seriously he deserves at least 5000 for this video!!! I wonder are there any methods still remaining for online? I know the Devils cave respawn trick to get outside the map but I heard that once you try to break the Guarma map barrier it soon after blackscreens you back to Saint Denis. Now I have been to Guarma in online 3 times but that was way back in the Beta days when it was relatively easy and I know good ole Rockstar has added aome wonderful things since then like invisible snipers in online and of course the dreaded blackscreen teleportation of death. (I have a love hate relationship with Rockstar) But yeah just wondering if there is any methods for online because when we went there long ago we could explore all we wanted and there was no invisible sniper in Guarma itself. Bored as shit right now waiting for next RDRO update so yeah thats where Im at lol. Any help would be EPIC and much appreciated man thanks 👍👍👍

Seriously cool footage and journey. I never had that specific glitch with the canoe in the water with that specific funky wave shenanigans. Always cool to see something new happen and the game provides.
thank you so much! reloading the last save helped reset the invisible sniper! that was my issue, no matter wat i did i kept getting sniped, even in areas that were not red!
soo, you‘re not even supposed to have a horse in Guarma, yet it kicks you off because it knows there‘s a trap ahead... how? why? wtf?
Do not explore the area over the river after you get drunk! This method works using ps4 and is exactly as he says. But before I went to the Guarma I wanted to run around first and see how large this area was. I went to a huge rock structure that had ridges that went upward to climb. I went up a level or two and somehow fell into the center of the structure. I just kept tumbling into a white void with my horse, endlessly. Just get to Guarma. Also I noticed no land animals or birds. Thanks for the vid!
It works on unpatched PS4 with no real permanent issues for your save file. I believe you, but dont recall getting that glitch where I fell infinitely. If I did, didn't matter. Reload puts you back in Guarma. Usually, when you walk through a place where you fall off edge of 1 or more levels of the map, you abruptly respawn on the top level of ground after awkward fall through gray glitch sky. Pretty much never took damage, it's just weird. I particularly love that spot north of the loophole in the cliff, where the ground has a gap that widens and there's a level of water you can swim in if you fall through that terminates in a vertical drop that falling off leads to the top layer of ground across from it.
The lack of animals is weird though. I never had that issue. To the contrary, half the reason I am a fan of glitching into Guarma is the fact you can't spawn certain animals there if you only visit in story missions. Far as I know, sharks and turtle won't spawn during story missions there. Pretty small amount of the map is accessible in story too.
Inbound to Guarma... all those time wasted just to end up on a trap.

I’ve been to guarma in many occasions not once I’ve encountered any traps besides the sniper trigger zones ofc.
‘Tis the nature of guarma tho. Once u trigger the guards, u have to do it all over again unless u want to be invisible sniped all day during ur guarma trip.
I don’t understand just don’t use auto save once u arrive on guarma on the map . If u alerted the law just reload the save
Hi today is 4/4/20 and if any of you is reading my comment i must say that this glitch works today . yes u heared it right and i did the glitch on PS4 on the latest version of RDR . but if you guys are doing it to get the guarma animals to achieve the ps4 trophy or Xbox achievements i must say another thing that these guarma animals are not required for trophies and achievements so if you are doing the glitch to get the animals , i say to u that u dont need them:)

I've just tried to reload my last auto-save when I reached the north edge of the guarma map and I respawned on the shore of Lannahechee River, saved me so much time...
But this really proves how huge the rdr2 map is.

I'm not sure if its only me, but the first time I glitched to guarma I saved immediately when getting there. And whilst I was trying to get the snakes I would create new saves each time I'd get a new animal in the compendium. But accidentaly one time I loaded one of the saves and landed back at the main map. So the second time I time I didn't reload any saves and everytime I wanted to reload spawns I just got myself killed by the sniper or falling from high enough. When I finished I created a save in guarma and loaded and completely skipped trying to glitch back out of guarma and ultimately landed back on the main map. I hope this helps someone because I'm not sure if this only worked for me!
To anyone wondering, this method still works on xbox as of March 2020. I would assume that it still works on PC as well.

@@aznduro I don't think that way works anymore, I know it was possible to do it that way a while ago but as far as I know that method has since been patched.
@@aznduro Update: After glitching into Guarma with horses I spawned from a cheat after already getting into Mexico, I just was able to glitch out of Guarma by playing an epilogue mission (I played "Trying Again", not sure if it matters which mission though I just choose that one because it looked easy to do again). It dropped me right by Catfish Jacksons in Lemoyne and my compendium had the animals I collected while I was in Guarma. I did this on an Xbox One. So I guess as far as what is patched and not, this route is still open.
@@aznduro yes in fact I just successfully made the guarma trip again a couple weeks ago on Xbox, with all the latest patches installed. This method does indeed still work.

I had so many issues getting back, the first time I glitched into Guarma. I couldn't find the route I used to get there and had to swim back. Usually can't and take that other invisible bridge that eventually goes under the water, forcing you to swim for maybe 14 minutes going due north.
Only reason I didn't drown was giving stolen donkey a metric fuckton of horse meth and I used the same way most of the times I glitched in and out of there. Wish I was wiser about screen capturing gameplay back when I started this game.
Key thing is just checking until the thermometer/clock/location block at screen top says you are no longer in Guarma and are at the river south of Saint Denis or, if you head back another direction, maybe New Austin. If you save after changeover in location data and reload save, you wake up from a nap and are on dry land in main map.
As long as you bring a shitload of special horse stimulant and special bitters/miracle tonic(for good measure, bring oregano big game meat and golden horse meal too), you can get back across the infinite looking ocean with sky-trees, even if you miss the invisible bridges.
Only if Arthur could,go in new Austin it would be easier to explore everywhere

hey man im having such a blast doing this, im just past the Entry Point to Guarma, its been so fun. I have a question though. You mention in the comments something about, if you get killed by a sniper bullet to load the guarma save, im a little confused can you elaborate. Do you mean turn off game, when it turns on and loads automaticcaly it will load to the Guarma save? Or once u die, do you go back to the mainland and have to load a different save file? im just confused about this.
Great! Yeah the journey to guarma is pretty fun. So basically once you get there you want to make a new save file that you can reload and spawn on guarma. There is an "invisible sniper" that will trigger if you stray too far from the main areas, this sniper cannot be seen or stopped and will shoot at you until you die. There is no way to completly stop it except for reloading your guarma save, simply dying and respawning isn't good enough. If you don't reload the save he will trigger much faster than if you do reload it, making leaving the island nearly impossible. Ideally he won't trigger at all or give you any problems, but if he does just reload your guarma save and try again. Good luck!
I believe the invisible sniper only triggers if you go in the area where the ruins are.
Pro Tip: if you go there as Arthur while glitching out the Angelo Bronte mission the invisible sniper won't shoot you at all even if you go into the area with the ruins.
Also....there is a much easier way to get into Mexico and keep your horse

It works in online as well.
It's hard to explain in a comment here but I'll try. You have to go down to the Sea of Coronado.
Go across the Sea. Travel down along the edge of the water until you reach a sharp bend I'm the river to the right. You normally can't go any further along the rivers edge because the "death water" is right there. Go into first person and equip your pistols. There is a little bit of an embankment there so you want to run up it, which will cause you to slide back down. As you are sliding down you want to hold R1 and pull the right analog stick to the right and keep it there. It may take a few tries but eventually your character will go into a glitched out sliding stare. On your screen it will look like your guns are glitching out and shaking back and forth quickly. If someone is there with you (online only obviously) they will just see your character sliding infinitely. Do not move anything!!! Continue holding the right analog stick to the right and pressing the R1 down until you reach the shores of Mexico. You will go under water right past the death barrie we no problem. Then go to where the river bends back to the left on your map and face the Mexico side and whistle for your horse. He will trot up right behind you.
Then head towards Guarma staying up on the cliffs like the guy who made this video says and enter Guarma at the invisible hill like he says. The rest is self explanatory.
Note: online you can no longer get near the city it will just blackscreen you back to Saint Denis unfortunately.

I was lucky enough to go there back in the beta days when there was no blackscreen or stupid invisible sniper.
It was pretty cool being there with other online players running around and killing each other in online sessions. Even when we died we still spawned there until we just went into a different session.
The good ole days I miss em 😏

The entry point really is not at that specific spot - so long as there is not a sizable gap in the texture you can cross at any point
If you do the angelo bronte mission first, the sniper won't bother you at all.
Yep, even if you just replay it. As long as you get seen by the cops in cemetery and don't clear bounty, no posse or lawmen either. You can do almost everything as Arthur.

If you have created a save file on Guarma all you should have to do is press the Start Button and then go down to "Load Game" and select the Guarma save file
if you play on 1.0 you never have to worry about patches, every single glitch works and you get pre downgraded graphics!

If the sniper won't stop shooting at you then you have to reload the guarma save and try again. Once the sniper is triggered you need to reload the save, respawning after death doesn't make the sniper go away

@@OCanalDeVideoGames it's just any save file that you make after you successfully reach Guarma. When you reload the save you should spawn on Guarma instead of the main map. This basically means you are stuck there because the save file will keep reloading to guarma, which is why I made the second half of the video (how to leave guarma). This save file needs to be reloaded to get the invisible sniper to reset, just dying and respawning doesn't reset the sniper. Hopefully this helps!

You have to reload the save file, once the sniper is triggered the only way to deactivate him and reduce his sensitivity is to re load the save file.

Yes I believe it should still work on Ps4, I just successfully completed the guarma journey again a few weeks ago on Xbox. If you use cheats I don't think that you will be able to save unfortunately
How to leave guarma close and open application.
This worked perfectly for me. Save the game just in case. Exit game. Quit game. Then restart game. End up on main land. Quickest and easiest way to leave Guarma. Thank you Randy Rhoads...

Try reloading the save or walking back down the stream and then returning to where the donkey is to get it to spawn, the donkey is only there about 50% of the time
What happens if I get there to guarma, and save the game? Can I get back to it once again after turning off the game?
I can't speak for any patched version or a version not on ps4, but can confirm that on unpatched ps4 disk version, the Guarma save despawns you in Guarma every load until you save after changeover into a part of main map where it no longer says "Guarma" above the time and temperature in the infobox top screen.
Literally spent a couple months on one save file in Guarma, just screwing around. Regret accidently saving over it, cause I gotta do all the dumb horseshit again for the half dozenth time to get another save file there.

How do you get a ridable donkey
Go to the spot I have shown on the map at 18:45 in the video, if the donkey isn't there walk back down the stream or reload the save and check again, it's there about 50% of the time

What did you do with your main horse when u got to guarma
The horse stays with you until you die on guarma. The horse will de-spawn and no longer be on the island

Ok. There is a much easier way to get back to the mainland. Simply replay one of the story missions. When you complete it you should be back.
I keep crossing the river but it keeps making me get off my horse so it’s probably patched

I'm not sure if the boat spawn is guaranteed, its been there for me both times i checked that spot though. If for some reason you cannot find a boat you can always go back through Mexico

@@tymon6018 Yes I believe that is the case, if your map is showing that you are on guarma then I think you will respawn on guarma. In my video I wanted to show how to get there alive and with a horse but I believe you can just jump in the ocean and spawn there as well. I honestly haven't tried it.
Once out of guarma couldn't you just camp and fast travel to america

@@caninesandcats2051 do you mean crossing the river where you initially leave the horse? As far as I know it isn't possible to cross there because the river is too wide, the horse can do it alone without you being on it's back though.

Because it doesn't show up on the map. You're very far outside of guarma's map at that point, you cannot see your player location on the map as it just shows guarmas map until you cross the barrier halfway across the river, when the normal map loads back in at the end of the video.

@@eliegbert8121 Hmm it's possible that you might not be crossing over in the right location. After reading your first comment I started up rdr2 and went through the whole process again to see if it still works, I didn't have any issues getting to Guarma or returning to the mainland using this method today. I suggest travelling further north immediately when you see the map change to Guarma's, and then after you are above the water line on the map travel directly east until Guarma's map shows that you are over land. Keep going east until you get to the part of the map that is shown at 14:39 in the video, you should be able to cross over at that location without any issue.
Im not guidging you but please delete your video before rockstar see it and fixing a glitch

You can't get sea turtle sketch in journal unless you glitch in. Not required for 100% and no compendium entry, but a sketch you can't get otherwise.
