    Not sure HOW...you can recommend the Sennheiser IE800s, just based on Sennheiser Marketing says it is better than the acclaimed previous IE800 which i own and like. Go back and sound test them first, then add to your list. Dont jump on the hype bandwagon like others.....do objective....reviews.

    I'm looking for some in-ear headphones around 100€ right now.
    I was researching a bit and these are my top 3 favorites so far (no order)
    1. Pioneer SE-CH9T
    2. Beyerdynamic iDX 200 iE
    3. Degauss Lab HOWL
    Which ones do you think are the most worth it?

    Shure SE846 vs Sennheiser ie800 ??

    • @jdstarek
      @jdstarek Před 6 lety

      x-PHANTOM -x I own both. Generally I like the 846 better, but for some genre I’d pick the Senn. Although, the Senn are super small and comfy. I’m wishing I would have tried the W80... I bet they are sick

    • @xphantomx4638
      @xphantomx4638 Před 6 lety

      does the bass on the 846 live up to the hype ? i LOVE quality bass.. i mean fast , detailed , punchy bass.
      will they deliver ??

    • @jdstarek
      @jdstarek Před 6 lety +2

      x-PHANTOM -x Unfortunately, I have never experienced this "amazing" SE846 bass that I've read so much about. It's there, it's punchy and quick...but it's not as full, and doesn't extend as much as I'd hoped. They are warm and the imaging is amazing, but for EDM or Hip-Hop I’d go with the Senns (my B&O over-ear are my goto for better low end). On the other hand, if you listen to a lot of jazz, classical, acoustic, etc., the 846 will impress.

    i just lost my ie80, so i need another pair, i saw that there is now the ie80s and there is also the Oriveti New Primacy.
    i had my ie80 base turned to 3/4.
    i use foam tips as the noise isolation is best with them which is important to me as i work in cafe's a lot.
    i like clear detailed sound, wide sound stage and good base response without it over powering.
    i listen to
    house music
    jazz
    rock
    salsa music
    how do the new ie80s compare to the Oriveti New Primacy and is there anything else that sounds better in the price range.?

    • @kimahs123
      @kimahs123 Před 6 lety

      They are open back, which results in far better sound stage, but also bleeds in surrounding noise. Thats why.

    • @hifiheadphones
      @hifiheadphones  Před 6 lety

      The iSine is an open backed earphone - this is not ideal for use in public. Because of the openness, sound will leak out to anybody nearby. The other issue is that they don't isolate so you will hear external noise while listeneing. The iSine earphones are really made to be used at home or quiet places.

    • @navinbabji
      @navinbabji Před 6 lety

      HiFi Headphones ohhh...so plz do suggest some good in-ear headphones, that can isolate the external noises by atleast 80%, and ya on a sidenote, i listen to mostly Led zeppelin, Pink floyd and the likes, so plz do suggest a good pair, and ya i'm kinda on a budget, i can't be spending more than 200$...👍👍👍

      I've always used IEMs sensibly. When they are so close to your ear drums, the sound is so pure. I'm in my mid 50s now and just had a hearing test two years ago. I explained I wanted to test my baseline hearing since I was eternally listening to music. My hearing loss was commensurate with my age. The audiologist said she wished more people listened like I do.

    Sorry headphones for max performance. Earphones for the gym. U have to be crazy to pay more than $100 for earphones.

    • @jdstarek
      @jdstarek Před 6 lety +5

      There are more aspects than just performance (comfort, mobility, portability, leakage, power requirements). Yes, a set of high-end over-ears will likely outperform an IEM, but (until recently) there weren't a very wide range of really great closed-back over-ears. In an office, closed-back is a must.
      Also, there is the comfort side of things. Some prefer the IEM to a hefty set of over-ear cans (I know I do). But, if you are limiting yourself to $100 in-ears...you've likely never heard a really decent set of IEMs.
      My Senn IE800s and Shure SE846 outperform just about any over-ears at a similar price point. Yes, I could splurge for Mr. Speakers Ether C that are about as good as you can get...but now we're talking $2,000USD+, and they are still huge and cumbersome (though actually quite comfy).

    • @renbanhart.s
      @renbanhart.s Před 6 lety +12

      for you man, but remember you may have an 800 dollar phone that works just like 400 hundred dollar phone, you may have a 4k 10,000 dollar tv, and a 1000 tv just may do, and that for me is crazy, but that maybe makes you happy and for everyone it is different like headphones, cars, watches etc.. invest in what you love:)

    • @MetalsForBrunch
      @MetalsForBrunch Před 6 lety +2

      I wouldn't compare headphones to cars and watches. Exotic Cars and watches are more complicated than you think and labor is intense. All electronics are actually easy to make and upgrade so I don't see paying the extra money for earphones cause there is no extra labor being used. Yes I agree the 800 phone works like a 400 phone but it has more functions and use than a earphone so that would justify for the phone's price range. earphones is just drivers, wire and circuit (easy to make just priced at a hyped level)

      MetalsForBrunch cant compare either 100 earbud to 800, like you said a 100 earphone to me sounds crap most of them, and of course an 800 dollar earphone has alot of tech alot more than watches, some have 4 speakers in each bud some have 14 and it takes years to develop a headphone like that not that easy
