I'm a biker and am embarrassed at many of the things these guys complain about . We're vulnerable but we don't own the road.
Exactly, most of these guys are speeding when not needed, as a biker for 25 years, I understand it is harder for a car to see a bike. Blind spots exist. So I keep distance. Alot more to say but what's the point.

Many young bikers probably haven't driven a car much so they got no idea of how road system works.
Don’t get angry at drivers who cut you off if you’re hanging out in their blind spot. Just don’t hang out there. Make progress or hold back unless you want it to happen to you often.

riding between cars is ok imho (i only drive Vespa scooter tho...yet hehe) but you have to do it just a tiny bit faster than the cars so in case someone wont see you adn decides to change lanes, you are able to break safely...basically you have to count that anyone could get in your way at any moment, if youre blasting between cars like most of those people in the video dont be surprised someone didnt see your tiny ass from mile away approaching in a speed of light

I have been riding a cruiser for 15 years or so. I love having the possibility to avoid jams, ride fast, feel the corners, you all know. But I never understand why some bikers do think that they are the kings of roads and everybody else must salaam them. On the contrary, you are small, fast, drivers are expecting other cars not you flashing among traffic so you always have to be prepared to get in a bad situation. Otherwise you die. Respect each other. Easy.

Crazy concept: If you're lane splitting fast through stopped cars on the highway, accept that it's dangerous and cars are probably not gonna see you. You're taking the risk and if someone moves it's on you and not them. Accept that before you do it and ride expecting that it will happen so you're prepared when it does. /shrug
What most motorists don't seem to understand is legal doesn't necessarily mean safe. Like lane splitting, you're riding in blind spots. Go slow, you're still making good time and you won't trash your bike.
lycante I'm from the uk I allways go slow lane splitting it's saved my bike and possibly my life a lot over the years I'm allways looking for the guy in a car to all of a sudden to change his lane because he thinks the next lane is going quicker 🤔ride safe from the uk 🇬🇧👍🏻

1/2 way through this video and I've seen 2 types of them. Multiple dirt-bike/people practicing/people having fun, and people lane-splitting getting into accidents.

Watching a lot of these young riders traveling at irresponsibly high speeds and then yelling at drivers who didn’t see them, “You almost hit me! I’ve had friends almost die because of drivers like you! I gotcha on camera!” is the equivalent of guys running up on anyone wearing camo gear and yelling, “Stolen valor! I had friends die wearing that uniform! Take it off!”

Took the words right out of my mouth. Who's right or wrong won't make your stay at the trauma center any easier if not worse. It's hard enough to stay on two wheels while defensive riding.

Funny how some riders will beep their horn, rev their engine, yell at other drivers but NEVER SLOW DOWN.
In some cases they don't really have time to slow effectively, but YES, you're right with most of these clips. Many times the reason why it's too late for them to act is because they didn't apply a buffer space with the next vehicle.

2:32 Incident description: A biker fails to get around a slight bend in the road under perfect riding conditions and smashes himself and his bike into some rocks. These kinds of incidents feature often in this kind of CZcams video - so often that non-bikers like me have to wonder whether bikers are stupid and incompetent or if their means of transport is dangerous and unstable. It's a combination of both, I'm fairly sure.
A lot of these accidents, as the one you've pointed out, are obviously rookies. No doubt motorcycles are dangerous and surely not everyone should be riding them, but no matter the transport, idiots will be idiots. If you were to replace motorcycles with cars in this video would you have the same opinion?
Without wishing to make excuses for some not great riding, it's actually one of the tighter bends, a proper hairpin, on one of the most difficult roads (single track BTW) in the country (Scotland), the Bealach na Ba. The rider has made one of the commonest errors in these videos, target fixation, and has been looking where he wanted to avoid rather than where he wanted to go. I've done it and nearly run out of road where there was plenty of room when I was getting back into bikes after a long layoff. He was probably a bit psyched by the road and thinking too much of what could go wrong. I actually think this accident is one of the more easily excused. These videos are full of arrogant and ignorant arseholes who don't know the meaning of defensive riding and give motorcyclists a bad name.
There's always the possibility that the rider has a momentary brain fade, but I'd bet most of these types of accidents are just inexperienced riders...

Lane splitting may be legal, but at the same time you are allowed to place your car however you like within your lane. Bikers seem to think there's an obligation to make space available for lane splitters.
I only know the law where I live. Lane splitting is legal; however, passing on the right is not legal. So, almost all the lane splitting done is not legal.

Why is it that so many motorcyclists think it’s OK to ride at twice the speed of all the other traffic, weaving in and out, undertaking/overtaking - and then they complain - you’d think they never passed a driving test.
Anyone stupid enough to do "lane splitting" deserves to bump into fenders and doors and bumpers and asphalt, etc.
Thinning of the herd is natures way of telling us that some are too thick headed to survive. I've been riding bikes for over 50 years and I haven't done half the stupid moves I see on these videos. A lot of these drivers who wear the cameras are letting the next of kin know what was their downfall.

I drive the bike since 1966 and idiots on the street (by car, motorbike, on foot) I met many but in these movies I wonder who gave the license to these riders and how they survive. Dangerous for oneself and for others.

I am a biker of many years. It’s true that car and truck drivers are not aware to bikes in the way that they are to bigger vehicles. However, all drivers, riders and pilots need to know their limits and the conditions and adapt themselves to them. Otherwise accidents happen stupidly. It’s sad and often bikers are blamed for speeding?! How could one tell from an other vehicle also moving or being stuck in traffic! Take care out there.

I was a motorcyclist for many years and learnt enough to know that weaving through traffic at a fast speed is not on as you approach cars at such a speed that car drivers DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO SEE YOU, so dont always blame the car drivers for everything you do that in many countries is rightly Elegal.

I hate these stupid bikes when they are completely in the wrong with going in between cars thinking they can break the law and then when someone calls them on it they get all mad!
