As a parent we must support our children even if they make mistakes, it doesn't matter that's how they will learn but we must support them in their decision as Allah has given them the right. As I did so Alhamdulliah the children are happy.

“I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say, ‘Spells (ruqyah), amulets and love-charms are shirk.” I said, “Why do you say this? By Allaah, my eye was weeping with a discharge and I kept going to So and so, the Jew, who did a spell for me. When he did the spell, it calmed down.” ‘Abd-Allaah said: “That was just the work of the Shaytaan who was picking it with his hand, and when (the Jew) uttered the spell, he stopped. All you needed to do was to say as the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to say: ‘Adhhib il-ba’s Rabb al-naas ishfi anta al-Shaafi laa shifaa’a illa shifaa’uka shifaa’an laa yughaadiru saqaman (Remove the harm, O Lord of mankind, and heal, You are the Healer. There is no healing but Your healing, a healing which leaves no disease behind.’”

The mahr is an interesting topic. Women absolutely have a right to it. Some scholars stated it is money to take care of her in case of a divorce. Others stated it’s just a gift. The issue we run into in the west where women ask for bombastic mahr because of “Sharia” then in a divorce , go to kufr laws getting alimony/spousal support and the assets of the man.

Laughs in Indian Muslim, here in India the brides family has to give the dowry, and also take care of the wedding arrangements. The groom is not ‘obligaed’ to do anything. Sucks coming from a patriarchal community. My family adapted all Muslim traditions, except this one. Somehow the men in my family still justify this and call it ‘halal’ even though it’s clearly haram to get dowry from the brides family! My mom’s family literally went broke due to the amount of dowry my father side demanded.
What kind of a disgusting ritual is this. I always get infuriated whenever I hear ridiculous stories like this. And I'm not trying to be racist, but India always has the most infuriating stories. 😭

I’m Arab, and I am not marrying an Arab I don’t care what anyone says. Thank God, my father and mother don’t mind if I marry a non-Arab they said as long as he’s a respectful Muslim. I don’t care if my grandma and old aunties will judge me for it.😌

Then how the examples of prophet Musa and prophet sallela alehi wa Salam are valid ? Did they not preform pardah that time . Please enlighten me upon this topic .
Islam is what the prophets practiced. Everything else is innovation and probably why we have problems today.

It's not about the man or the mahr. The problem here in our country is on our fathers. They demand high amount of mahr and don't give any of it to their daughters. It's very sad 😭
This is not my culture but my aunt was married to persian man and i heard about this. I was talking to an arab guy and we was talking about out last relationships and i said am divorced and he said his was suppost to agage a couldnt pay the money asked for the marh. I need to study this well🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
