So the take here is what? Anthony has always been honest with his views on race(which I disagree with), politics(mostly agree with) and other things. He's also not "poor", it's very well documented that him and Opie have tens of millions stashed away in some sort of long term savings plan which their accountant set up 20 years ago. Also, Ant dates a 30 year old, and the fact that he dates younger women is something that he continually goofs on, creepily stalking his Instagram following just to prove a point that doesn't exist isn't "owning him". And ant dealt with the videocamera you pretty non-aggressively, he just made a couple jokes at his expense. TACS still gets great guests(see: Michael Franzese for Christ sakes), and it's a generally good show.
He isn't poor but there is no way Compound Media isn't bleeding him dry. That site doesn't do numbers outside of Anthony's Show. The only major name that network ever had outside of Tony Two Shirts was Artie Lange and he didn't last long. He won't starve to death but I am sure that company is being run on borrowed money.

They have one studio, which all the shows use, and I'm guessing their subs count isn't that high(Ant is probably fine with this, it's not meant for liberals to watch anyway). I think the problem with compound isn't that it's too expensive to run, they bring in B rate personalities and don't have huge studio costs, but it's their lack of subs. He can't keep top talent but I doubt he's losing a ton of money off of this
@@ricardocantoral7672 Although I do agree that he really should just cut every other show on the network, and pay actually funny people like Dipaolo or Gavin, or hell, even Michael Malice once a week to come on once a week and co-host the whole show(sort of how Gavin is the Wednesday co-host but just do that for more people). It'd take no more effort than Ant applies now, but who am I to judge. Like Gavin said, at most 10% of subs will be lost if it's just the Anthony show so why not just make it all about TACS? Maybe it's his loyalty to the other shows

Im a day 1 TACS sub and its important to hear everything here and keep yourself grounded. Im probably not going to unsub but i follow the network more out of nostalgia than anything else. Im watching a retired guy make a show and that's it. He obviously gave up a while ago and hes now just enjoying life with his friends and just made them a place where they can all hang out the same way i would if I was rich.
That's true. To expect anyone to perform at their peak for their whole life is unrealistic. Athletes, musicians, performers.... and radio hosts as it turns out. I'm mostly appreciative of Anth for all the amazing radio content he was responsible for, as well as being a truly funny dude. The wacky political stuff is a shame, and the borderline-pedo stuff is obviously awful, but I think you have to separate his "best" work from all that stuff.
Hell, as sad as this sounds, the whole "Tranthony" saga on the old O&A subreddit was some of the funniest shit I've ever seen on the internet!
