Being high rank doesn't mean you labbed Lei :P especially since you see him so rarely. I usually wait through the whole string and punish with i12, cause I don't know else to do xD

@@Carsu12 Are you serious? there is nothing to lab here. This string is as basic as it gets. Linear, second hit high and unsafe on block. Even orange rank should be able to EASILY punish that when someone spams it like this. It was weird - sometimes the hwo even tried to duck but then did nothing or tried to stand up and jab XD He should just ws3 or ws4,4. He might have been nervous because he played TMM.
@@pablotheimmortal6440 also online, also if you duck second hit you can get launched by 3rd hit if you are late on punish (not sure if you can launch it reliably on reaction) , and you never really know which way to sidestep/walk until you lab, for which you need to have Lei purchased. I just know it's at least - 12, online Leis very often do the whole thing, so I just wait and punish

Yeah but Knee doesnt just mash it out he kinda spaces the opponents out and no one is better at it than Knee. TMM in this video just spammed it at times and that guy still couldnt react lmao. However I think this video shits more on that Hwoarang player than on Lei

I've been playing Lei for a couple of weeks. He's fun, his stances have really interesting and strong technical potential. It was really hard playing him starting out though, I lost a lot of matches.

Here we go again...abusing players with zero matchup knowledge does not prove a thing. I like TMMs content but with all the success he has seen recently, I really wish he would stop making this kind of vids. All it does is spreading toxicity for no reason.
TMM suffers from huge character baised.
His arguments of characters their biggest strength is being that nobody plays the character has always been a weak one.
The characters he hates are under powered and that's why they're not played often, thanks to that a lot of people don't know how to counter them.
See most people would say this video shouldn't be taken seriously, and it shouldn't to a degree
But he does this so often that it just gets annoying and toxic

I recently found out that lei is a character I can use very well but he’s screwed while under Mishima pressure. I like characters that can move well too. And his movement going forward is trash to me. I shouldn’t have to go into drunken stance to move forward or lay on the floor. So I’m going to have to recreate my play style. I want to drop him but I memorized his entire movelist already. He’s hard when you forget your movement and game plan and when you are faceing high level opponents who don’t care about your stances and interrupt you.

@@07citychamp You can choose how you play them if your intention is to get better at the game. He was complaining about online giving him bad habits but part of that is his own fault. I don't think it's possible to manipulate your rank on console as the data isn't stored locally. On PC if your save file is corrupted it's gone for good, on console if that happens you can reclaim it automatically when you go online as it's not stored in your system.

For the other topic I've found it very difficult to play in a, let's call it proper, way. if you have opponents that don't know what they don't know, they press buttons like chimpanzees regardless of the situation, takes a different approach depending on how well they mix there options
Cheese is the part of Tekken...if you cant deal with cheese,you are not a solid tekken player...complaining about it will not solve anything....solid player = movement + matchup knowledge(cheese defense) + offense timing + (reads/adapting)....people have the bad habit of running away from the brutal truths...The brutal truth is in tekken you can win with cheese
@@07citychamp What I'm talking about is throwing out unsafe move and gimmick strings over and over against people who don't know the matchup with the characters he can't be bothered to learn properly. He made a vid where his intention was to get every character to TGP as this would help him learn to deal with every character in preparation for EVO. This is not the way to go about it.

That guy knew in the second round that he could duck that move. Punishment is just a key technique you SHOULD have learned at this rank. And also he never launch punished Leis low sweep which he blocked multiple times. If TMM spammed many different strings I wouldnt blame this guy either but he fell for 2 moves over 3 matches. Thats definitely poor gameplay
