  • This is the same M4 Titanium Full Exhaust System used on the M4 ECSTAR Suzuki GSXR 1000 ridden by the man with the mullet Jake Lewis in MotoAmerica Superbike. With this system you get the benefit of the additional development time M4 has invested in this pipe to help Team Hammer get the most out of the new Suzuki GSXR 1000.
    www.sportbiketrackgear.com/20...
    The stock system on the GSXR 1000 tips the scales at 23 lbs and is has a massive canister. Replacing this with the M4 Full Titanium System increases the power, reduces the weight by over 14 lbs and gives the GSXR a much cleaner look.
    This system is available in 3 variants:
    M4 Suzuki GSX-R1000 17-18 Carbon Standard Mount Full Exhaust w/Full Titanium Tubing

I guess after setting it gave the computer enough time to reset and learn. I put about 300 miles on it and no issues! Thing runs strong!!! Also I installed the driven block off plates and followed Brian’s videos to the T and I had no issues, with that I did install a healtech pair valve bypass and everything worked out fantastic!! I installed yoshimura exhaust on every gsxr that i have owned, that has been my number one choice for Suzuki motorcycle just because of the 20 plus year relationship between yoshimura and Suzuki. To me it's not always about the sound, it's the performance that matters. My second choice would be akarpovic exhaust, they are my top two exhaust system for performance. Nice install and a great video.

      I rode the bike a fair amount before doing the flash to the ECU and had zero issues. If you want to get the full potential out of the bike you need to flash the ECU to remove restrictions and map it. On a modern bike you do not have to remap the bike to ride it after installing a full system if you are happy with the way the bike performs. - Van

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  Před 5 lety

      I would install the system and ride the bike a bit to see if you are happy with it's performance. If you are then you can leave it as is, this system comes with an arm you can install on the exhaust servo motor that will prevent the engine light from coming on.
      If you would like to flash the ecu I recommend FlashTune, this is what I used on my GSXR 1000R. I would send you a link to it on our site but the site is down right now (hosting issues). - Van

    • @Aint1S
      @Aint1S Před 6 lety +2

      Backfiring, is that what you're asking about after aggressive downshifts? If that's what you're asking, it's normal if you're dropping enough RPM through the shifting with the throttle nearly cut off that a lean condition occurs and the unburnt fuel in your exhaust gases ignite with fresh oxygen that's being forced through the engine by the rapid downshifts.
      Since you're saying it only does it occasionally, it doesn't seem to be a problem because it should only be taking place within the header pipe to collector at most.
      You don't hear any abnormal ignition noise from bad fuel while you're operating it, do you?

    Hey I'm doing a very similar build on a 17 gsxr1000r aswell. Same exhaust and all. I ordered and installed a servo buddy instead of using the bracket for the servo that comes with the exhaust. I'm having an issue with the servo buddy, it works and doesnt throw a CEL under "normal" riding. But if I do hard pull or get heavy on the throttle I get the CEL and C46 code (exhaust servo). I was wondering if you guys have ran into a similar issue.

      We should be able to help you get this sorted out. Please answer these questions:
      1) Have you flashed the ECU?
      2) Did you completely remove the exhaust servo motor?
      3) Did you install the servo buddy and the exhaust at the same time?
      4) Was the key turned on or motor started with the new exhaust system on the bike before installing the servo buddy?
