Just a comment from an long time Thanes boater -
When opening the sluices to fill or empty the lock - just press the sluices button ONCE only. If you tap it several times the controll system sees that as an error and the system will lock up and you may be trapped inside!
It may take some time for EA to respond to reset the system......
(Otherwise many thanks for your excellent presentation)
Ps: on the Thames you must / are supposed to use two lines on the hoat to avoud losing control of the now - as you nearly did.
    Thanks,
    retired Thames boater.

Yes i mention 2 lines in the next vlog. Some locks i used the back and centre line. I know about pressing the button once. Thank you for the tips.

Back in the 70s, only the lock keeper could use the power. If they were not on duty, it was a matter of turning a big wheel to operate paddles and gates, hard work.

If the lock is automatic, why do you have to keep pressing buttons? Electric does not equal automatic.

Press to open the gate. Press to open the sluices, press to close. Etc.
