Best scene I ever saw in this series. My heart pounded so fast, seeing reddington's reaction and having the thought of how his heart was pounding crazy that time. Such a heartwarming scene, made me cry.
Yeah well whats kind of messed up is for her to realize this after his life is on the line. I personally believe it's Jennifer's fault. She manipulated Liz because Red killed Garvey. Liz did not want to betray Red after everything he has done for her and the task force but Jennifer's obsession to avenge Garvey's death made Liz eager to find out his true identity. I just feel bad for Red he's been treated like shit by everyone except cooper and ressler and dembe. Liz, the judge and Sima all treated Red like shit. My heart sank everytime he was offended. He was always optimistic and he will be heartbroken when he finds out that the women hes been defending and loves and gathered money for betrayed him.

It does matter because she still cant fully trust him if he keeps secrets left and right! - especially if he took her fathers name and identity for 30YEARS! And let her believe for months that he was her dad, after she for years believed she shot and KILLED HIM at 4 years old ! . I love Red and I know how much he loves her but if you were Liz you would also be confussed at least.

Only this time Raymond knows all about it. The first time Raymond was her assignment and they had sex and katarina accidentally fell pregnant with his child. Katarina has always been able to manipulate Raymond. You could tell he was once in love with her during the assignment phase. She lured him in on that night in Paris and stabbed him with the needle.
it took 6 seasons but Lizzie finally said those three words to Red! And Red's stunned surprise like, wtf, you tell me this when I'm about to be executed, PRICELESS!
This scene tops any other scene in the show. Her saying she loves him is EVERYTHING I was waiting for. Like 5/6 season's in the making I love it. It felt natural and not forced. I'm glad they didn't jump right away sense the beginning saying that to him and have them develop within the series. I love this.
I really do think Red is the real Raymond Reddington. It shows it in this scene, only hearing the words I love you from your child can make you feel speechless especially with the history between them.

The obviously problem is that the relationship between Red and Liz is a parent-child relationship, so...what the fuck? Now I was heavily against this theory with all of my heart. It sounded dumb and I couldn't believe someone could be crazy enough to think it up. I just wanted him to be her father so badly. Season 8's finale forced me to realize that I was wrong. Daddygate is dead and in it's place Rederina is honestly the most likely thing at this point. Like the amount of sense it makes? Pick any confusing scene from the last 9 seasons and it can be explained through Redarina. Not to mention it explains the dynamic between Red and Dom. It fits and fits extremely well.

I love that she feels this way (hopefully) and tells him (about effing time!!), but seriously though, what bugs me deeply is that she showed no sign of remorse whatsoever during his time in prison, not even moments before his "execution", like she somehow totally forgot she was the reason he was going to die in the first place. Like what the actual f, did the writers forget to include some scene where she is filled with remorse because I'll be damned if you're not filled with guilt to the brim when you truly love someone that you yourself put in such a situation!! So that just felt like a plothole for me :/.

At this point I think he's liz's uncle. Either that or he's her father and he was having an affair with his brothers mistress. Brorhers who went down different paths, Raymond was the naval officer who was manipulated by katerina and robert was the lifelong criminal. Robert fails to protect his brother and decides to take his death and take over his brothers name. He decided to protect the only family he has left outside of his surrogate son dembe.

This was one of the most vicious manipulative things she has done in the show, made me sick watching this. Reds reaction is heartwarming of course. Liz has a tonne of guilt over what she did so she tells him this to make him and by extension her, feel better.

@@conanedogawa7527 Yeah but she thought a lot of scenarios of this red betraying her real father etc. Now I am not sure she believes that anymore after finding out her mother betrayed her real father and she was a part of creating this fake red. And at the end of the day love is love. She loves the man as a father even if she knows he isn't her real one now. And she knows that despite his lies he does love her too. Maybe she realized that this the only thing that mattered in the end.
