    Economy: Mirus Hawk seats
A decent experience onboard the reigning world champions in the World's Best Low Cost Airline category.
I came from a Batik Air flight and transferred from Terminal 2D to Terminal 2F, which involved quite a walk since the two terminals were situated on the left end and right end of Terminal 2 respectively. Check-in was crowded since Indonesia AirAsia only used 5 check-in counters which was insufficient as there were multiple flights departing almost simultaneously. Check-in took some time, but I must appreciate the ground staff at Jakarta for overriding AirAsia's messy automated seat selection logic which, if not handled properly, could have caused us to be seated far apart. Thanks to her, we were able to be seated together.
Boarding was done through gate F3, and I was welcomed by the lead purser before sitting on my seat, 16E. As boarding was done through a remote stand, the process was done a bit slowly. The aircraft in use was the first Indonesia AirAsia Airbus A320 to be delivered to the airline, PK-AZS, re-registered from PK-AXA. It had been refurbished with the newer Mirus Hawk seats, which were slimline and provided some extra inches of legroom whilst maintaining comfort.
Take-off was relatively on time, and the rest of the flight proceeded with some light-to-moderate bumps mainly above Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. The flight was rather boring, and while the crews were attentive, caring, professional, and efficient, they lacked friendliness compared to my previous AirAsia and Indonesia AirAsia flights. They could've done something to make the flight less boring, such as by promoting their duty-free items attractively like what my AirAsia AK348 crews did. There was supposed to be an in-flight Wi-Fi onboard, but it refused to connect and there was no sign stating it was on.
The landing was done 5 minutes ahead of schedule, and after taking some pictures with the cabin crews, I promptly left the plane, headed to immigration, and promptly took my bags before heading to Pattaya.
As an airline that has just won the title of World's Best Low-Cost Airline for 15 years, I expected more from them and felt they could have done better. That being said, this flight wasn't that bad to be called unenjoyable and wasn't that serious to severe the 15-year trust I have also cherished with AirAsia.
