This movie aged super well and it gets more emotional if you rewatch it when you're older
Sure does.
So true
Story aged well but it’s idea of the future aged so terribly.
@@b_ail1999 That's fair kind of some was right like self driving cars.
@@b_ail1999good way of putting it
The sneak attack of emotions in this movie was so cruel. This is by far Adam Sandler’s best movie
I think Happy Gilmore takes that title but this one is great for sure
For me it's a tie with Spanglish.
50 First Dates. Thank me later
Uncut Gems is his best movie but this one is definitely in his top 3.
Facts
I can never gets past the scene where the dad said "I love you son" and the rain scene where Michael tried to stop his son from leaving the hospital. I cry like a baby everytime I see those scenes. 🥺😢😭🤧
the scene when he was dying , and he gives note to donna , 'will you still love me in the morning' . it got me, I never cried since i was 12
@@nilesh4660 I haven't cried that hard since Homeward Bound ending scene, it still makes me shead a tear
that's the scene where it stats to get more emotional. this movie is life changing
same
@@nilesh4660 yep, it teaches us that family is more important than our careers
Adam Sandler is at his best when he’s actually being serious.
Yep. When people think of Sandler their minds automatically go to the bad comedies he's made, but I've always believed drama was where he was at his best: Punch Drunk Love, Click, Reign Over Me, Funny People, The Meyerowitz Stories, Uncut Gems, Hustle...
I like his comedies too (Billy Madison opened the door to my love of movies), but he really knows how to bring it with the dramatic stuff.
Which is why Punch Drunk Love is his best.
That's a really kind way to say he's not funny 😂
Adam Sandler is at his best when he's not in the movie!
I think so too, it's a shame more reactors haven't watched Reign Over Me, that's a great showing of his dramatic chops.
This movie captures the old saying,
"It's not about the destination but about the journey."
This movie is so underrated, it never gets old.
No, it's getting younger over the years.
This was one of the best reactions ever, ladies. I don't think I've seen you cry so hard that did not involve animals.
Magy cried quite a bit on Squid game
She did to in Rotk
Gotta be one of the saddest films ever. The fact that it’s also pretty funny is amazing too. This has gotta be my favorite Sandler movie
Best movie by Adam Sandler, the dad and the death scene have to be the two saddest scenes I've seen on any movie. Hits hard every time...
This movie made me sob like a baby. The dad saying I love you and the end in the rain gets me EVERY TIME.
When you opened expecting a comedy, I was oh boy they are not ready.
I dont think a better message exists in a movie... and it's an Adam Sandler movie. My personal favorite of his. Henry Winkler crying absolutely breaks me every time.
"What kind of comedy is this!?" I felt that. Everybody expected a silly, idiotic and very funny movie, then hits you with a profound life lesson! That was one gut punch of a surprise, but it was so welcoming despite how much it hurts.
I was the same way in the theater. I laughed my head off at first, then cried my eyes out at the end. Then had a big smile on the face at the very end. Great movie - great reaction from BOTH of you.
I absolutely loved this movie. And you're reaction. There are certain scenes that hit emotions hard. I reflect on the last times I spoke with my brothers. And the last time I hugged my mom. It's a hard lesson appreciate and love those people that you have while you have them. It's a beautiful message ❤
I wouldn’t say you cried for nothing. When you cry, it gives your viewers an idea of what you both are like as people: kindhearted, empathetic, good emotional strength … Although I don’t like to see you girls sad, it does give me an idea of how genuine and sweet you are when you show your emotions.
Thank you for sharing this video, girls. It was great to laugh at the funny parts with you. I had a tough day at work yesterday and laughing with you girls has helped very much. I also like the pink streaks in your hair, Laura. They suit you ☺️
also wasn't really for nothing, it did kinda actually happen
This reaction was incredible, ladies.. To see that full range of emotions was truly something to witness.. At one point near the very end, you two went from full-on sobbing & bawling your eyes out to embracing one another, smiling from ear to ear & laughing hysterically in the span of about 12 seconds or less.. Lol. I personally absolutely adore this film.. In my opinion, it's THE best thing Adam Sandler has ever done & it doesn't get even close to the recognition it deserves.. It has such a great, powerful message & it is at times both very funny, exceptionally sweet & extremely sad.. It really makes you think about life in general, especially as you begin getting older, as others have said.. I am very glad you girls chose this movie & got to experience it in all different ways, as I did the first time I ever saw it (and every time watching it since tbh, bc each time I watch it, I experience something in a whole different way.) I hope it left as big an impact on your heart as it always has mine.. Love your reactions, Magy, especially when it is the two of you & Laura is involved.. I think it makes them even that much more special.. Keep up the fantastic work guys..❤
The first and second act of the movie were the comedy side, but the last third was when it took a turn to do really good acting and drama. Unexpectedly making us tear up.
This movie was waaay ahead of its time. Cried like a baby with it, very deep but truth message. I loved you 2 reaction to this, you're a couple of sweet, empathetic, sensitive, beautiful and smart women. Keep 'em rolling, girls! ❤
This movie is very hard to watch and hits close to home. My dad passed 15 yrs ago and the scene where Adam's character was lying on the ground in the rain completely breaks me. My sis, mom and I held my dad when he took his final breath and it was similar to that scene minus being outside. Thank you for your reaction, ladies! Also, huge kudos goes to Adam for his amazing writing, acting, & in-depth cinematography.
Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey are my two of my favorite comedians. This movie and Bruce Almighty were very similar but different in many ways. I still say they have yet to do a movie together 🔥🔥🔥
I feel like they would just conflict cause Jim always wants to he the main lead.
@@wonder777warrior6 probably not, i mean the sonic movies aren't called "the eggman movies".
I found this movie unexpectedly emotionally moving, I'm sure a lot of people agree. This is one of those examples that show Adam is, in fact, a good actor. I always thought the premise sounded stupid and I didnt' see it until 10+ years after it came out but damn was i wrong.
this movie taught me to love family ,give time to them, i was just scrolling into mobile before not listening to my parents , But since i watched this movie it all changed, i am giving my time as more as i can, trying to make them happy . gosh haven't cried like this for years
it's like a "real-life" genre so to speak because life has its comical moments, its really sad moments, its happy moments, moments that bring you peace, anger, confusion, etc. Edit: I guess technically this would be a Dramedy. A comedy that contains many dramatic serious elements that may make a person emotional.
This was an amazing movie to watch as a kid in theaters, I believe it was the first time a comedy pulled at my heart strings the way it did and looking back as an adult it’s a movie that goes under the radar that deserves more recognition
I recommend you + *Adam Sandler* Movies :
★ *50 First Dates* (2004) /starring *Drew Barrymore* ♡
★ *Anger Management* (2003) /starring *Jack Nicholson* 🔥
★ *The Wedding Singer* (1998) /starring *Drew Barrymore* ♡
★ *Just Go with It* (2011) /starring *Jennifer Aniston* & *Nicole Kidman* 🔥
★ *Big Daddy* (1999) /starring *Leslie Mann* ♡
the wedding singer is pretty cool
and 50 first dates as well, those are really good movies.
In 1997, there was a television show called Goosebumps. One episode is called "Click", same story: A magical remote control that controls the world, only it doesn't have a happy ending. It seems that, the movie is inspired by that whole episode, you should watch the tv show, or at least, The haunting hours: the serie.
Great reaction guys, Click is a great movie the theme of the movie is very powerful.
It's similar to its a wonderful life.
32:43 - it's a little funny here because this futuristic scene is set in 2022 and Henry Winkler doesn't look anything like that in real life. He's aged better than his character lol
Such an underrated movie! Great reaction
It's 35:40 so far, but I can't handle her cries, it breaks my heart😟😭Before I had seen the movie, I was distressed, but I was holding it back, now watching it again with you girls, what I cried was incredible, as I said, it broke my soul. and the heart. Adam with his company or if he acts for another production company always teaches family life that is excellent. PS: I recommend Leo, who also acts. Greetings to both of you from Argentina
thing i love about this movie the most especially watching reaction is most people enjoy the convivence of missing things we consider annoyances at the time like Michael. As the movie progresses you realize that's life and you see it greatly in these young lady reactions. As a 52 year old i remember being 18 and remember my grandmother telling me time was undefeated and it goes by faster than you think. That was in 1989.... Enjoy life.
Magy Laura I absolutely loved your reactions it melted my heart. You make my life so much more beautiful and happy with your presence and down to earth vibes. Thank you for being you I love you both ❤️❤️
I think this is the most the girls ever cried and laughed in the same movie!😂
On my first time watching this, I was a little sad during the scene where Michael says "I love you too, Dad". I then saw an interview with Henry Winkler describing how proud he was to play the father and the true emotion Adam Sandler portrayed. During that scene, Michael was saying "I love you too, Dad" to Henry Winkler. But in actuality, Adam was saying that to his real-life father who passed away shortly before the movie was in production. When watching this movie the 2nd time, I cried during that scene.
Fun fact: The neighbor kid played Joker in a series called "Gotham". He was so good in that show!
"I'm not having fun anymore!" As Magy is sobbing...brilliant!
This is one of the best movies of all time, and your reaction is THE BEST of them all, thank you both!
I'm glad you included the lesson at the end. It reminds me about how I felt this may. I had just had a flood and was obsessing about redecorating my apt and changing everything. Then I got a call that my son's lung collapsed while he was driving and he somehow got himself to the ER. He in NJ me in VA. I got there so fast cuz he thought he was dying. Thank God I went cuz he did end up coding during his 21 day stay. It was surgery after surgery and bleeding to death in the ICU in front of our whole family. I thought about what I was doing just days earlier and couldn't care LESS!! I was wishing and praying with everything that's he'd survive. Id give up everything in my apt just to have him 99 percent whole again.
Magy and Laura - “Guys, appreciate your parents more!”
Me - “Ladies…remember to do the same and take your own advice! A lot of people in your age group tend to forget this because they think time is on their side. Here’s the truth, time is never on your side whether you’re 5, 15, 25, 35, and so on. Anything can happen tomorrow because tomorrow is never promised. So yes…treasure every moment you have with your parents, guardians, whoever your family is. Speaking from experience.”
Great reaction ladies! Looking forward to more in the future. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🎆
i remember Adam Sandler in an interview with a guy about why he made this movie: the guy didn't understand the metaphor behind the movie...he was like "i don't get it, this is weird and dark for you Adam...what were you thinking? It's not a comedy at all."
And Adam said 'maybe it's not JUST a comedy.'
'What do you mean Adam?'
Adam: "what date did this come out?"
"what does that have to do with anything" the guy asked.
Adam asked the same question again "what date?"
It turns out the year Adam released Click was the same year that Businesses in the USA pushed their workers to spend time more working and less time at home...so basically Adam creatd Click as a big fu%$ you message to that...he dissaproved of the workaholic ethic in America.
A Christmas Carol would have been a great movie to watch because the message is to appreciate everything you have and have compassion for others.
The actor who plays the swimming teacher/second husband also played Samwise Gamgee 😊
I have watched it so much, yet it manages to make me cry every time..
This movie takes a you on a roller coaster ride. You go up (with laughter) then down(with sadness, then deep sadness) the up (with joy & happiness). Great reaction ladies . 😊🥰❤️
I think of this movie often. Sandler with his dad is one of the most brutal movie scenes I know.
Agreed i even shed some tears more than his death at the hospital
I told my dad i was too busy to visit him on the weekend when i was 16 since i wanted to hang out with some friends. he died of a heart attack the next week and 15 years later and i still think about how i didn't spend that last weekend with him almost daily. this movie smacked me in the feels
very underrated movie... first half comedy.. second half drama with message....
I'm an Adam Sandler fan. I walked inside the cinema without having any idea of the movie aside from the hint of course that it was a comedy film. Usually, I buy bottled water before getting inside the cinema but for some reason, I didn't get one. I regretted it! Hahaha! It felt awful to have some kind of lump stuck in my throat! I cried and I was sobbing that entire part showing his last interaction with his dad. :( My dad died of a heart attack in 1998 and it gave me a lot of emotions watching this movie. My dad had to spend 36 months overseas and will only spend 45 days with us while growing up. That's the routine every time. I felt terribly sad remembering how our dad used to complain about us not writing him a letter as often as he expected us to do it. We were just in grade school in the 80s and the internet wasn't available yet that time and it took a month for our letter to reach him and vice versa. This movie made me wish for the internet to be available at that time - if only. It would have been a lot of difference, I'm sure. I always always miss my dad and part of me still regrets not being able to write him much then. Thank you for doing a reaction to this movie. You made me cry again! Hahaha! Happy New Year to both of you! :)
The ending came outta nowhere and got me too when I first watched it
Well even though all those tears seemed like for nothing, I believe it was to learn that never take anything or any day for granted. You never know when your time will be up. Y'all both still look good even after crying.
Maggie And Laura, If you liked this genre of movie well Adam Sandler has made a lot of movies like this, I recommend these.
1995(Billy Madison)
1996(Happy Gilmore)
1998(The Wedding Singer)
1999(Big Daddy)
2002(Mr. Deeds)
2004 (Fifty First Dates)
2004(Spanglish)
2014(Blendid)
2019(Murder Mystery)
2023(Murder Mystery 2)
There are a lot more But these are the ones that are closer to the same feels as Click .
Hope you enjoy! Thank you.
This movie has so many twists and turns and is an emotional rollercoaster and I love it! ❤ Your reaction is perfect! Fun and humorous then very emotional to the point you were breaking my heart!💔 Magy you chose a very great movie to react to great job! Laura your reaction was great! Luv you girls❤💛
Great reaction! One of my favorite movies ever since it came out, incredible message with some hilarious parts with very touching scenes as well.
I was amazed at how sad this movie was, you never saw that side in the previews.
It’s a comedy until it’s not.
This is Adam Sandler one of the best movies and underrated. Very emotional reaction. Love it ❤
Never underestimate the power of Henry Winkler for Onion ninjas ❤🙏 The Coin trick always pulls on the Heart 💯
The fonz crying is hard
@@-M0LE Indeed 💯 I was lucky enough to interview Henry Winkler a few years ago amazing kind man 🙏
@@ace360 very lucky he's truly an amazing actor AND director..he's like everyones uncle or grandpa
@@-M0LE Thanks man 🙏 Dude he's backstory of how he got into acting is so powerful 💙🙏 And exactly Everytime I see him Uncle or Grandfather of Wisdom
Morty was played by Christopher Walken, an acting legend, who also played the angel of death Gabriel in the Prophecy series. My mother actually went to high school with him. Walken, not the angel of death. lol You saw him before in Pulp Fiction. He played the veteran that gave the watch to Bruce Willis as a kid.
Did he have a watch up his ass?
@@jonalberts980 Among other things, I'm sure.
Walken is always great, but I think my favorite is an old music video he was in, just because it's so dang weird!
I like to imagine that this is the same universe as that series.
This was by far one of the best movies ever made by adam sandler next to his other movie SPANGLISH; Those 2 movies have aged well and will never get old, Adam Sandler was indeed at the top of his game with those 2 films and I've always considered this movie an updated modern day take on IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE with jimmy stewart, Just like that film this too is a timeless classic that gives out a heartfelt reminder to all of us how short life is and how it should be enjoyed to the fullest, especially with the people you love the most, Awesome reaction ladies thanks for bringing attention to an underrated, overlooked priceless gem, keep up the good work and keep pumping out good positive content! 💯🔥🔥😁😉👍
"live life to it's fullest" - how a simple phrase such as this is captured to a movie in the most simplistic but innovative ways.
3 Things! 1:50 - "Fathers." I want more of that story Magy...! You can hear it in her voice - LOL. :) Like the hair Laura AND this reaction becomes my top rated watched crying reaction. Glad you understanding the meaning of the film - Love life to it's fullest. Take care ladies.
Ughhh, and remember watching this movie for the first time, expecting a typical Adam Sandler comedy, in being severely disappointed and caught off guard when it started tearing up when he goes back to see his father for the last time and is crawling out in the rain at the end. Great movie. Not sure if you guys actually have the chance to reply to comments but if you haven't you should check out the butterfly effect. That's always been one of my favorite movies. And Blow.
I don't remember Click being THIS emotional. Lmao. Magic Magy is too sweet for this world.
No movie has changed the way I look at life and loved ones like this one. A damn Adam Sandler comedy 😂
This movie and Bicentenial man both always get me emotional. One being Adam sandler, the other Robin Williams, despite their brilliant comedy roles they never fail to also do good in the emotional moments, which often get overlooked, especially when people think of Sandler.
I think this is the kind of comedy that makes you laugh til you cry and cry til you laugh
Yup. This was an excellent movie; would be nice if we had more jazz like this nowadays. Glad ya'll enjoyed some of the culture from our early adulthood.
Hey, if you girls want to watch more Adam Sandler drama, I love "Punch-Drunk Love". It's not like Click, it actually doesn't look like anything else I've seen, but it's a romantic comedy/drama so it's not too far from what we're used to.
this movie hits differently now even though i haven't seen it in a while. I remember almost all of it though. I just lost my 25-year-old cousin and this movie definitely makes it even more clear that life is short. This sucks. 😭😭RIP Joi. You're an angel now.
They foreshadowed Christopher Walken being death as soon as you see him. His name is Morty, a play on words. In Italian Morte means death. In French, La Mort. Latin, Mors. Spanish, Muerte. Great reaction y'all. Keep the emotions coming😊
@@u4O4 I did forget that one, didn't I😂 But I believe in Romanian it's, Moarte.
It's not every day the thumbnail to an Adam Sandler reaction shows the watchers crying. I'm going to have to check this one out. I haven't been a big fan of Adam Sandler movies lately, but this one seems to be good.
BTW, you ladies need to be introduced to Chris Farley, one of Adam Sandler's best friends. You should add TOMMY BOY to your list of reactions.
Best Adam Sandler movie. They said you’ll be in tears watching this comedy movie we just didn’t expect for the tears to be emotional
I sobbed like a baby when I first watched this when it came out. I haven’t watched it since until this video, and now I remember why 🙃
This is my favorite Adam Sandler movie, loved your reaction.
“We cried for nothing?!” Hahaha
The ending always gets me too
40:17 mi parte favorita de la película, cuando la ví la primera vez todos los de mi alrededor lloramos 😅
I swear it should be a ritual to watch this like 2 times a year to remember to cherish life
The only time, “and then I woke up, it was all a dream” is acceptable
Sign me up for one of those universal remotes for life - I'd love to go back to the "chapters" in my life that did not suck. That would amount to about a year or so, when I was 19 or 20.
I probably wouldn't fast-forward anything, just "replay" all the good stuff... which wouldn't be much... I'd probably just hit "pause" a lot, or frame-by-frame slow play ; make good things last longer.
yeah well, just don't fast forward all your problems or you'll end up like him.. Yeah don't press fast forward ever!!
One of his best serious roles is the movie Uncut Gems. Anxiety filled tension from beginning to end
LOL I knew ya'll were in for a rollercoaster on this one. Oh it's gonna be a nice comedy...me thinking ya'll gonna need like 2 boxes of tissues.
"it will be good to watch something funny" famous last words.
The way how this movie turned out great but it it was so meaningful and a constant reminder to our lives. 💯
Hi Laura & Magy!😊 I didn't recognize Laura in the thumbnail with her different hair. Laura, your hair looks very nice. This is definitely a darker Adam Sandler comedy. "Bed, Bath & Beyond" recently went bankrupt and closed all their stores. I believe the future time after Michael gets out of the hospital with a belly flap is 2023.😉 Great reactions to this very unusual dark comedy, Ladies!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏
Hi guys! The scene when his father died is really relatable to me, cried like a baby on that part. P. S. This is my best favorite movie of all time! 😊
CLICK is my favorite Adam Sandler movie, so I'm glad you two had the reaction that you did to it.
Yup, still makes me sob 😭
Loved this reaction ❤
I only have about 2-3 movies where I actually tear up, and this is one of them
This is like A Christmas Carol 😊
The dad themes in this movie always break me into a slobbery mess, I want to get closer to my dad before it's too late 😭😭😭
Just now got that kid’s name…O’Doyle 😅😅 O’DOYLE RULES!! O’DOYLE RULES!! O’DOYLE RULES!!
One of the best movies there a have see in entire of my life .. what message !
This is one of my favourite movies EVER. I loved seeing your reactions i think i cried just as much the first time i watched it 😍
The guy playing Bill the swim coach is Sean Astin. He played Sam the hobbit from The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
This movie is such an underrated classic; one of Sandler’s best!
But hey! I do have a movie recommendation for you. Check out Sound of Freedom. It does have some heavy subject matter (without going into spoilers). Not an easy watch, but worth watching nonetheless.
Uncut Gems! Best Adam Sandler's acting. Watch that one soon, please! :0
omfg did anyone make the connection to the mean kid?
his last name is O'Doyle...
O'DOYLE RULES!!! (Billy Madison)
38:02 the reaction here is interesting.
The emotional response we all have is to say screw work and go on the vacation\honeymoon.
BUT if it was a major deal or contract and the spouse loses the job over it, how happy would the wife be then also.
You have a point, but I think the movie does a pretty good job of implying that this is a pattern of behavior, not a one-time thing for a major deal. You obviously can't just blow off work entirely because you want to spend time with family and friends, but you can't always blow off the people you love just because you're bucking for a big promotion either. The key is moderation and balance between your career and your family and friends.
I remember watching this movie for the first time thinking "Ah, a Sandler flick, time to laugh my butt off." - Well, I did, for some time...
"It's a Wonderful Life". 1946 version, please watch if you haven't. Same ideas and principles like this movie.
