even if Antonius had a strong feeling he was bluffing, it is so easy for his bluff to be better than a pair of deuces. that call was beyond sick.
Yeah, I think that play was foolish tbh, yet he won the hand.
Not really
@@MrDizew clueless
@@mgpvii sure, 1/2 live player, enlighten me
@@MrDizew I canât enlighten the dim witted.
This is why Patrik Antonius is a poker legend.
Yeah, he keeps quiet overall, and stays under the radar since he's not the kind of guy that like's fame and attention, but he's one of the best poker players there is, and also one of the best player's of all time.
@@jfrom214 I agree. When I do it I always get the âyouâre goodâ and they table a 6 haha. That would have been my biggest fear if I was Patrick but thatâs why Iâm watching his video and heâs not commenting like I am haha.
Why he is not in the Poker hall of fame?
â@@pasijunnila3248 He most certainly will be there, no question.
Just this?
This call is really impressive but the fact that he did it for his tournament life is so sick
cash came is harder...
@@Erika_Kohl Neither is harder, they are just different. This is an easier call to make in a cash game than it is to make deep in a tournament when the difference between 2nd and 3rd is $200k in a $25k buy in tournament.
@@itskmillz tell me the difference ;) ...they play hands cash for THAT $200k ...so
True, but the fact he had to call allin, might make it more likely to be a bluff. Dunno if that is true at the HS level tho. Good shove I guess, tho maybe he should have tanked a bit before doing it.
â@@pahakuutti there is no other bet than all in on the river
After watching poker content for almost 20 years, it is so hard to find moments like these that rise to the top! So fun to watch. O well, I'm obviously going to be making some terrible hero calls for the next few months . . .
me too
It's plays like these that are worth thousands to your soul
A on river, usually is good for hero call vs bet bet bet. Because most people x/behind at least 1 street with A high for the showdown value.
@@violacorales yes but with a 2 lots of his bluffs beat you
When I saw the ace peel off at the end, I was instantly like "Wow!! That IS gonna be one SICK hero call!"
That was a stone cold play by Antonius.I've always liked his style of play and how consistent he is with his routine mannerisms at the table. He's one of the beasts from the old Full Tilt years that's managed to stick around at in high level.I used to watch him & Ivey play the nosebleeds, heads up against everyone while I'd be playing tournaments & cash games.
You probably saw Phil Ivey made a sick call in almost the same circumstances and I think in this same tournament
The online HU games were so fast paced for the amount of money exchanging hands and I watched so often while I played that honestly I can't remember any single hands that I watched but the experience of being on the rail to see that, was unbelievable. This was between 2004-05 until Black Friday in April of 2011 when Full Tilt was shutdown so it was awhile ago.It was the only way to see high stakes heads up play that I've ever found.
Hello Rambler...
May I ask where you'd watch them play?
I take it you were a railbird... Lol.
â@@prayingmantis6777Dudw your weird

Patrik is the master of these types of hero calls.
Davidi Kitai is quite good too.
â@@ogregolabo lol just cuz of that 1 video where he calls with aceor king high and queen high...Patrick has been at it for DECADES. Kitai has a lifetime of catchup
Wicked wicked wicked CALL Patrick......even my 2 feet are clapping......well done sir.
Easy call
@@WRLOL777 snap call. not sure why he wasted so many time banks. I wouldve snapped him once I confirmed I had the deuces.
@@crimpers5543 lmao when u are playing for lots of money you wouldnt be able to i bet
@@crimpers5543 your heart probably races at the 1/2 tables
@@TheFountainOfGrace23 this is a tournament though, not a cash game
I've played, and watched a lot of poker... this is the single greatest play I've ever seen.
Remember that Jason Mercier one? I like that one. It's similar to this.
then you need to watch the greatest call in history by stu unger tells his opponent he missed his straight draw and calls his all in with 10 high for victory
Nah, Patrick's Queen high call is better.
@@davidwight5974 nah, he overbet n was polarized. farily simple call tbh.
So many years watching Patrik Antonius and watching this hand is so enjoyable.
It's nice to see him perform after so many years and still crush it with such hero calls.
Awesome content Triton Poker!
This is not first time Antonius make a call like that. He is the hero
Patrick was looking through his soul what an epic read đ”âđ«đČđČđ€đ
He truly is an incredible player. Always love watching him play!
This is a classic old school live read that you still see from Patrik, Ivey and Dnegs where they intensely stare their opponents down to begin with and then they will only use their peripheral vision as their opponent let's down their guard ever so slightly and it's at this point he starts to blink uncomfortably and he starts to push his hand in to his chin even harder. Yes this is a GTO fold but it is a world class live read call
the thing is theres just way more bluffs than value bets, not saying I would have called or anything lol
This is probably a gto call with the price heâs getting and not blocking any of the bluffs.
@@carlo8044 jh is blocking some bluffs though..
it's not a GTO fold, so many hands missed, clubs, hearts, 89,T8,T9, 54 , he was representing AA, AQ,QQ,66, 77, A6 and A7, Patrick is blocking 22, A2 and AJ so he's got a lot of value but he also has a ton of bluffs
Itâs not an old school fold
Just one the end bosses for so many years ! đ Patrik đ±
coming for you, who is crushing tables in today's age ? love to see the respect pass on. I feel the game and playing styles change every year. Its one thing to crush in a particular period like Linus Love, OTB or back then like Isuldur; but to crush for almost 20 years and be at that level is truly amazing.
Today's players will always have an edge with software and solvers and studying in the lab, but the ones who survive at the top level consistently for so many years, are the ones with higher natural skill and raw talent
Patrik is one of the most talented players ever. Couldn't see him having any high cards and not jamming on the flop, so less likely when they came, and made the call. Love P.A.
This why we love poker! This is why I love it!
That is unteachable poker. Good luck bluffing that man when he's in the zone. 10/10
He was getting 5/1
Insane call. Bravo, Patrick!!!đđđ
from the HSP days to now, antonious has always been consistent. Dude is on another level and plays at that level at all times.
Watch how Antonius reads his face after he goes All-in.... He saw something. What a legend.
The Power of Live Reads. Imagine seeing Villian for hours versus seeing Villian for just 9 minutes. The air thickens when something doesn't seem right. And a tribute to the greatness of Patrick Antonius!
Antonius one of the absolute best on the planet. Sick call!
I watched this live everyone lost it in the comments
Very few players have had as many sick calls as Patrick. Truly one of the greatest to ever play the game.
This is the hand of 2022, what a legend đđ
He senses the whole play. He is in his strength zone.
An amazing call, O'Dwyer couldn't have been more disappointed.
its an ICM hell for O'Dwyer and Patrick with all that chips is not what he wanted to see. If patrick folds the river or calls and he goes out of the tournament its a very good ending for o'dwyer
Did Patrick win this tournament?
â@@tq6892 Yes.
facts i just realized he was there the whole time. if u look closely u can see him eyeing down the guy who was bluffing like "dude are u fr? against PA??"
What I love in Antonius is his faces at poker. Like Phil Ivey. They are so serious e concentrate players. If they loose, they keep with the same face. It's amazing. Like a robots
Watched it live...couldnt believe what I was seeing....made my day..))
PA is definitely a high talent player, many years ago I saw him made a call for 100k online (full tilt), the pot was $250k on river, the guy all in for $120k at the end and PA called with KT, he missed the flush draw and still called, turns out the opponent had a smaller flush draw they both missed, there was a pair on the board.
That one is legendary vs Kingsofcard. 500k pot. Over ten years ago
I know he will make it befoure he put all time chipsin the center,it was classic cash logic :)i know he one of the greatest player till i watching him like. 15 years
@@DrJetset oh yea, that one
Yeah, he was considered the best cash game player around at one point. He try's to keep quiet and out of the limelight though, he doesn't like fame and attention at all. He doesn't play as much as he used to, but when he does he's still one of the top players. Def one of the best player's of all time in my opinion.
King high?
Great stuff, so impressed by his reading ability, hats off to Patrick!
Patrick is so solid, I watched him play the 5mill cash game. He's now my #1 favorite pro to watch
Furthermore Mustavov was constantly going all in pre-flop / on flop with strong hands - so his all in on the river was a strange play compared to all previous hands he played / plus nothing hitting on the board. Still looking at ICM , a very very balsy call from Antonius
It would have looked so bad if he wasnât right
Does ICM matter when you are Patrik Antonius? Hes not playing for the money, the win is more important.
@@mjriemen of course - itâs 800k and heâs not been winning big lately . He hardly plays online anymore. But in general, 600k or 400k is not life changing for him - hence he probably called with that hand there
You are set for life after you win your first couple of millions because of investment income. Rich get money for nothing, what a strange world we a living
@@zfvr not really, depends what you spend
One of those players you love to watch for sure.
One of the best all time.
Sick call!
One of the top 10 hero calls in poker history.
lol, not even remotely close to top 1000, bud.
No one has more of these calls thank Patrik
This was riveting television
What an incredible read he had on that guy
It would be completely brilliant if we didn't know the end result before watching.
its all about clicks these days. Less people would watch it if the title says somethin like "Can PA make an incredible call for his tourney life".
The eyes are the windows to your soul.
Patrik such a good soul reader.
Patrick covered his ASP
the look O'Dwyer gave Mustafov "What have you done? You fed the monster"
I think that it gets rarely mentioned that Antonius alongside his analytical skills is very good at reading faces. I would not be surprised that postflop he put his opponent on a drawy hand, no face cards, let alone an Ace. So his way of thinking at the end was maybe: he is not betting the river w AK because he got there.
Wow that was soo sooo sick... and thats why these guys are elite and i play 1/2.. all the years and these guys are like fine win just keep getting better.
7:35 Mustafov's look here confirms the bluff. Genius coaxing from Antonius with the smiley question to pin down the read he already had
One of the greatest tournament hands of all time
Yes! Very Amazing! Very well done, P!
Love your content Triton! Constructive feedback - please avoid spoilers in the titles. How about "Patrik Antonius considers making one of the greatest hero calls in High Stakes Poker" or "Patrik Antonius goes into the tank on super hero call". Sure we might suspect he calls since it is being posted but it still leaves that shadow of a doubt that keeps you on the edge of your seat. You could also post other highlight videos with the unexpected outcome that would keep your subscribers guessing in the future. Regardless, looking forward to whatever you post next.
bullshit, if this is a highlight, it must be a hero call
@@jjonsale
Exactly lol, sick of this type of complaint
Patrik is one of the GOATs. Never FORGET IT
Top 5 best calls I have ever seen, called with bottom pair no kicker. Bravo Patrick, but think about it, he was pot committed and took a chance and Won like a savage
Only Patrik could have made that call. You don't see anyone else calling with bottom pair. I remember he made a similar call with a marginal hand against Phil Laak many years ago and was also right. He's just one of the best.
I mean, it's a beasty call - but he's not the only one. Lol.
Seidel made a call with J high.
@@CertifiedSlamboy Any idiot can call with a marginal hand trying to be a hero. But how many actually get it right more often than not. That's what my comment was talking about. You see most players fold...especially to big bets and in this case, an all-in.
@@AlexPrimus
Yeah but you literally said "only" he can do it. I gave you a clear example of that not being true as Seidel successfully called with J high.
Maybe say what you mean next time?
ask drunk Rui Cao, I'll bet he will call on that hand lol
PA is not the only player to make this call.
All depends on situation, the player they are facing, the previous hands that led up to this one, etc.
If you read a top comment you'll see how he played previous hands, and this wasn't how.
He gave himself away and this is how PA was able to tell. PA is not the only poker pro calling in this situation, guaranteed.
That's why he is a legend. Wow!
Got me think of the pair of 6 Patrik called with at Triton London event. The manâs always shown his class.
Classiest poker player Iâve seen through the years
Great call, Great player. Good luck my friend.
he was already one goats but this solidified it further, even in this day and age. Patrik, Dwan, and Ivey still the top tier elites back then, and now
Wow it would so much fun to be able to play at that level. What a call
You never see a hand like this as the climactic hand of a poker movie.
Legend , my favorite is his call on Laak on hsp
That call is ludicrous!!! đđŒ đđŒ đđŒ Antonius been at the top for 15 years goddam
Over 20 yearsđ
The Fearless Fin... what a legend!
Wow I could not have made that call! Patrick has balls of steel surely!
Patrick is one of my favorite players to watch a legend

What a Legend year after year
Live reads/tells thus the call. Well done
Greatest call of all time. đŻ
Patrick isnât stupid he probably looked in the bottom left corner of the screen to see his hold cards then went for the Oscar
SICK! SICK! SICK! Ola school poker at its best right there, folks! Amazing!!!
World Class Patrick crazy call
What makes this truly great is Will Jaffe's analysis of the hand đ
Legendry and World class
Thx for the spoiler-free title... That kept me on the edge of my seat till the end ;)... Still awesome content!
The read of Mustafov penetrating staring might have lead him towards calling since signaling strength is a sign of weakness the board runout together with the dynamics probably could have made a bluff more likely too. Strong play if you are managing it to collect all the pieces together correctly.
A10 clubs, Q10 clubs, etc there's a good amount of combos that could have hit for Mustafov here. It's an amazing call.
I loved the other dude at the tables reaction like "wtf was that"
Dude: I'm all in
Antonius: fuck around and find out.
Beast mode call!!!
After the call oâdwyer got up from chair and was like well there goes my ladder đ
that Ace at the river makes it all the more harder to call man, damn!
Buddy staring back at Patrick is why he called imo the good old reverse psychology read
I remember watching him call for about 100k on full tilt on the river with king high.
The real đin my eyes đŻâ„ïžâŠïžâ ïžâŁïž
This guys a master of the game
chat and youtubes pro be like: "that`s an easy call, he clearly was bluffing"
Before watching , I thought mustaf checked the turn , making an easier decision for Patrick. But on three barrels itâs def a tough and sick call
What an absolutely filthy sick call
Without any doubt it's a sick hero call, only thing I did not understand, why he did not check raise all in on turn?
Absolute beast of poker.
So much experience he has
Lol the way Mustafov is grilling Patrick during his turn bet đ€Ł đ plus why would he jam when the ace comes when he was betting every street. Lol
Best call Iâve ever seen
That hurt me! Dang what a sick call from Patrick with Ducks đŠ đ
that was genuinely riveting
Wow, what a call
i've seen this guy make ridiculous call after ridiculous call on youtube over and over again. antonius is so fucking sick. and it seems like for every ridiculous call we see, there's another clip of an insane fold as well. one of the greatest poker faces i've ever seen, too.
What a hero. đđ€©đ
And here I am living check to check. Props to these ballers.
Really sick call what probably went into his mind is that realistic there are not that many value combos he goes three streets like that. If we exclude all one pair hands because ace highs likely check back turn Qx not sure it jam river probably only less than 20.
