Hi watchmojo 👋👋👋
@@jacobrev6567 Hey Jacob, how's it going today?
Cancel culture. Before they get cancelled. :) Love You Guys!
Whoever watches the show should not be offended don’t be a gen z fruit cake
south park will never be “cancelled” because they DO tackle many important issues and use humor to help people understand the severity of them
I just saw on the Internet news (can’t remember where exactly; think it was my personalized Google News) that they’ve gotten the “go-ahead” for, if my memory serves me correctly, 5 or 6 more seasons. That’s great because the episode that got me into South Park was the Pandemic Special. After seeing as a non-fast forward commercial so many times while watching stuff on demand and actually snickering a few times, I decided to watch it when it premiered and decided that if I liked it, I would give the show a chance. Next thing I know, I’m dying of laughter at at least one or two jokes in every single episode and signed up for HBO Max just to watch the episodes that wouldn’t air on Comedy Central
So a medieval jester in modern words
@@thatrandomguyontheinternet2477 more or less
They’ll never be cancelled because they go after EVERY group, and their humor is actually intelligent and not just insulting
Well the show will end eventually because no one is imortal
South Park makes the “we live in a society” joke funny
Truer words have never been said!
The fact Butters's dad sends him to conversion therapy for "being bicurious" but is later found to have multiple affairs with men is hilariously ironic
I believe it’s before and has internalized homophobia
South Park is the best. The show is freaking medicine for the pain
And Bevis and butthead
Hope you're not in any pain buddy. Love you.
Seriously I did a binge watch of South Park...choose any season and its still relevent...mostly (minus the celebs lol)
Yes it's amazing
I binged it when I had to have a surgery, quickly became my favorite show, love it so much i got a tattoo of my favorite character(Professor Chaos) on my wrist
I just watched the SOUTH PARQ VACCINATION SPECIAL and cartmans quote “look, you guys are completely entitled to your opinion, but your opinion is just really fucking stupid” is one of my favorite quotes because of how relatable it is
Hahahahahaha true
That's true lol. That's basically people on the internet
one of the moms on Dance Moms, Dr. Holly said: you're entitled to your wrong opinion.
@Noah Maldonado just because you don't want a rushed barely tested vaccine, doesn't make you an anti-vaxer. It means your capable of critical thinking and not swayed by fear mongering social manipulation.
Some sjw’s also say your opinion is “wrong”. Wtf how can a belief be wrong?
South park is more reliable than any news station because they don't take sides and roast everybody even themselves
50 years later college students will write essays about South Park episodes
Well they are running out of things to write essays on it seems like.
i already do tf
I haven't yet. But i bet will someday.
It’s really not as smart as y’all wish it was
Already did. Philosophy paper on agnosticism. Used the clips as examples
“What seems to be the officer, problem?” will never fail to make me laugh.
I’ve been watching South Park since I was 12 (I’m 30 now), and honestly I still think it’s a great show. Sometimes I think they do go a little heavy on ‘we have to make fun of EVERYONE’ even if it’s things I don’t even think they personally believe in but overall I think they do tackle some subjects really well while still allowing us to laugh. Not everyone’s humor is the same and there is stuff on South Park I’m not a fan of but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s terrible, just not my taste. I think there’s a line that they actually manage to balance on pretty well.
Same been watching since i was 10 when when we heard a swear word from a cartoon it's like seeing england win the world cup back then.
I'm the kind that collects lexicons.
I'm 22 and I've been watching South Park since 4th grade

Im really surprised you didnt include the episode where they deal with the catholic church covering up the thousands of child molestation and rape charges. Thats one of the most serious things they have ever portrayed on the show.
People out here trying to cancel everyone when South Park has been doing this all the time. They don't care if you're offended they make fun of everyone. Thats what makes the show so good!
Even better...Southpark tried to get ITSELF cancelled and it backfired
@@thepolitesocialist9026 Yeah that was them really making fun of Cancel Culture! They know how stupid it is!
South Park is f*ed up. Glad i stick to Family Guy.
@@duncan3998 I used to love South Park but then I grew up I believe in treating everyone right but shows like South Park make those racist hateful people feel right
South Park is the Very definition of freedom of speech, they talk about all the bullshit from both left and right, religious fanatics and anti religious atheists (different from the more fewer healthy Religious and atheists that respect each other) and so many other "two sided" things out there. And they do It in a brilliant way.
My favorite point ever made on South Park, "Isn't every crime a hate crime?"
That was beautiful and deep because a crime involves the lack of empathy or care or love. It is indifferent, the true opposite of love.
Dang. That's true.
Token: Jesse Jackson is not the Emperor of black people!!
Stan: ... he told my dad he was.
That episode predicted cancel culture. I swear.
🤣
Apoligiiiize...
"Top 20 times South Park tackled serious issues" is like saying "Top 20 times fish swam in water"
@Luciano Barone They mean that South Park covering serious issues is pretty much as common as fish swimming in water.

Watchmojo idea:
Top 10 Time Stan was always there for his friends.
Episode 1, he abandons Kyle after his baby brother gets kidnapped by aliens to hang out with wendy
@@infinitememegod He also does that in “Chef’s Chocolate Salty Balls”. Also, he joins the crowd quite a few times when all the other kids or even the entire town is against Kyle. The biggest examples would be “Where My Country Gone?”, “Super Hard PCness” and “The Problem With A Poo”. No hate on Stan. Just saying.
I agree but with Kenny instead of Stan.
Satan explaining the nuance of addiction to Stan is especially funny.
Omg i laughed so hard
"-Stan heard that and got pissed off and had me sent me to a migrant detention center."
Stan really be caring for Kyle without even being onscreen.
After all the times he walked out on Kyle, I was kinda surprised.
The "Identifying as" episode a couple of seasons before the school shooting episode deserved to be on the list. Starting with Cartmen walking to school with the "Today could be the day..." running monologue going in his mind you thought he was going to be a shooter. Instead it turned into an argument over his identifying as a girl so he could use the girls bathroom.
Literally every time a major event happens the first thing me and my brother say is, "cant wait for southpark to make this an episode"🤣🤣
I will say this that south park handled britney's attack by the media with truth and how we sucked in defending her. Sadly, it's still the same with other female celebs
I'll never forget when that episode aired and I was about 18 and very much team leave britney alone and I remember that episode offered me 😅 I couldn't even watch all of it. Watched it years later and saw it was actually more talking about our/media's treatment of britney rather than make fun of her.
The day they cancel South Park is the day Free speech dies.
The day they cancel South Park is the day I die
The day they cancel South Park is the day the world dies

It’s already dead mate, it’s been dead for years
I love South Park but they should cancel it. The last 3 seasons have sucked, too much focus on Randy and the unfunny weed farm, Cartman isn’t even evil anymore, each episode is connected but still somehow random
One thing that annoys me is that some people today still don’t know how to take a joke. IT’S CALLED SATIRE FOR A REASON PEOPLE!
I like to refer to Trump as the true death of satire, because almost anything you say to be satirical of him just sounds like something he would actually say.

Huge credit to Trey and Matt for tackling the rough stuff. It can be hard to watch & stomach, but they don’t skimp on the hard parts.
"Satire may be our greatest window into the future"
Thank you for saying this
I absolutely loved the Conversion Therapy episode! I’m bi myself, and it was such a good episode to show what I, and many others in the LGBTQ+ community, have and had to deal with throughout our lives. It’s so hard to accept yourself sometimes, but they did a great job of discussing such a sensitive matter in a way that was exceptionally humorous and supportive of our plight :)
When times get tough, South Park will always be there for me.
It's incredible how well shows from the 90s, especially SP and Family Guy, still resonate with audiences today.
I like that South Park doesn’t follow the whole sitcom thing where you have to have a positive resolution at the end of episode. Because in reality sometimes there isn’t a happy revolution. There are not too many simple answers in life.
Just finished my blu ray collection of South Park a couple days ago. It's one of those shows that you can pick any show from any season to watch with the homies and not miss a beat. I personally find their humor way out there in the funniest and best ways possible.
One of the greatest character arcs I've ever seen is the creators of South Park become all about acknowledging and trying to stop climate change.
They got cereal
When does South Park not cover serious issues
Also who else has seen the special that released yesterday
Maybe when it's potty jokes?
That was released Yesterday?!
Yo.
I have. It was awesome
I love shows that aren't afraid to talk about the nitty gritty issues.
That’s one of the things I LOVE about South Park: they roast EVERYTHING while also tackling the severity of the situation at the same time, which is an extremely hard thing to do! Trey Parker and Matt Stone are nothing short of geniuses!

*Rooster crowing*
No show in TV history in my opinion has taken on more issues than South Park.
"Cartman's side is right for the wrong reasons, but our side is wrong for the right reasons." is one of my favorite lines
I love how you completely missed how the show mocked the hypocrisy of western culture turning entire species of animals into nothing but food in barbaric conditions while we all get triggered over whaling. It was literally front and center in the entire joke of the Enola Gay.
They forgot Q as well
Oh. Holy shit you're right. This went right over my head.
I suspect this was written by two chickens and a cow.
It's hard to believe that *"South Park"* and *"Serious"* is in the same sentence.
Right!???
Mm-hmm. LOL
Right
Honestly
Well of course the new seasons are serious compared to earlier.
How is police brutality and racism not on the list though? It’s been brought up a few times on the show but was especially prevalent in The Fractured But Whole video game.
That Terri Schiavo episode was so well done, that one always stuck with me. The ending is funny but also a big gut punch when they realize none of this is what Kenny/Terri would’ve wanted.
they had world war zimmerman(pointing out he got away because the victim was black(not the only reason, but still one of them)) and the n**ger guys episode(with a lot of moral about using the N word), i know there's a lot more of them, but they won't gonna list every single episode either
eg. mr. jefferson would have been a great pick, but touch a very similar moral than world war zimmerman
In my opinion, one of the most genius shows ever. I get why some people take offense, but it’s literally the best way to address legit issues
Portraying Jeff Bezos as a Talosian from Star Trek's original pilot The Cage was totally hilarious.

"Franchise Prequel" was also a great episode about how much power social media has to spread misinformation and how much it can infringe on peoples privacy.
This is why I love South Park. They go after everything and everyone. People in my generation’s probably gonna try and cancel it lol
The cnn and fox news part on the vaccine special was funny as shit
Eventually, shows do get cancelled. Much like how they've cancelled certain other shows.
In all honesty, South Park isn't my kinda show. But that doesn't I hate it, I do enjoy parts where they feature the characters tackling serious things.
It's also why I *despise* the adults on this show. *They're! ALL! BRAIN-DEAD!!!*
Not going to happen.
An Understanding of Serious Issues, and also of the Seriousness of These Issues is important. Kudos, Keep Going, Rebecca and Team WatchMojo.
Every episode deals with serious issues.
I'll never forget the first time I saw the pilot that had Santa and Jesus fighting each other over the true meaning of Xmas and Stan's learned lesson was that it didn't matter...what matters is getting presents.
I turned to my best friend and said, "This show is going to be huge".
I honestly felt that the show was originally about the craziness around the town and lots of originality, but now it became aware of the reality and bound to bring more attention and ridicule to any existing media possible while retaining the humor within the show.
The Hobbit was funny as hell thanks to the phone call moments
Bitch tell me how you're not the hobbit again
I love that they go after everyone. It’s absolutely beautiful and I want it to go on forever lol
One of the greatest shows in history.
4:30 The desensitization to violence was a really good one, but at the same time, I also sided with Randy in believing that Sharon really was flying off the handle. Yes, I did agree with Sharon that the school shootings were getting out of control and that they needed to be taken care of, but she was really getting out of hand when she wanted everyone to be just as upset as she was. That was also an issue in of itself. Everyone responds to depressing situations differently and just because people don’t respond the same way you do doesn’t mean that they don’t care just as much as you, so Sharon really needed to be reminded of that. The ending of that episode really hammered that point perfectly, with a bit of humor at the end in the typical South Park fashion. But the episode also made a good point in how violence is now an “everyday occurrence” and we’ve gotten so used to hearing it on the news that we think the world just can’t be fixed anymore, which is 100% TOTALLY FALSE!!
Didn’t they tackle divorce because of stans parents
And Stan's depression
I use to work at Amazon and I can promise that every horror story you've heard about the working conditions are true.
This most recent episode was BRILLIANT.
I love South Park because it is a show that makes you actually think (about all the issues).
I suffered from an addiction to alcohol ( 2 years, 2 months sober) I found the AA meeting depicted in South Park to be very accurate. AA are ignorant about addiction, and the meetings are stupid. You go in and repeat the same story and this is meant to keep you sober. Only positive was the nice free lunch.
Facts. I'm a recovering opiate addict and the "rooms" doesn't do it for me either.
As someone who actually worked in a rehab center and had to sit through these meetings and have gone to school to gain an education on psychology and addiction, I hate AA. It creates this sense of powerlessness in the people who go to it and the heavy handed religiousness of it feels like some sort of conversion group. The members will try to insist it isn't that it's about spirituality in general, but the word God is mentioned a lot, even in their own rules.
I just hate it. I'd rather people actually learn about addiction and how it affects the brain, body, and their behaviors.
I'm now 2 years and 3 months sober and I tried AA and hated it. It didn't help me, it tried to push religion on me as the only path to recovery. It's just a cult indoctrinating people when they are at their lowest
I got sober through wanting to change and not wanting to leave my kids without a dad. Not because of belief in some sky fairy.
I agree, AA/NA groups are mostly people glorifying their using days. Treat those with the most "years clean" on some pedestal and god forbid you get a job which takes place during your normal hours of going to meetings. Because when you return they always accused you of relapsing
I got my 55 year old dad into South Park. He loves Cartman and has a Cartman bong now 🤣
Episode one, with the alien (probe) 😄
There is nothing and never be an equal to South Park. It is just an amazing show and crosses the line to prove points, in a way to show us different perspectives on the issues.
when cartman started a reich, marched on the jews at a synagogue, and kissed mel gibson’s feet. all under the cover of the passion
Randy: What seem to be the officer problem
I found it hilarious how they mocked Mr. White. His final appearance was shock, took me a full second to realize who it was.
No joke, but South Park is what got me into activism and politics.
This list was super cereal. Please, do more "tackle hard issues" series!
I felt that south park's addressing of depression was always its most serious issue. It's clearly where the show took itself more seriously
The episode where Stan's (Billy) grandpa chases him around trying to get him to kill him. The boys ask several people if it's ok, but all of them won't "touch that with a 100 foot poll". The length of the pole keeps getting longer every time they ask another person. Even Jesus wants nothing to do with it.😏
The fetus/stem cell episode was pretty intense
Throw the stinky butter at them LOL
"What seems to be the officer problem" 😂😂
