  • I recently had the best ever mudlarking outing on a particularly low tide on the River Thames in London. From the moment I walked down onto the foreshore I spotted a special something staring up at me through the mud! And then it just went on from there. Coins, the LONGEST pipe ever and a really curious little token which I had great fun researching.
I hope you enjoy accompanying me virtually on this special mudlarking outing!
If you are tempted to try mudlarking, then you do need a permit from the Port of London Authority. You can find out all the info on their website here:-

We had a garage sale and had stacked a bunch of boxes full of broken glass and ceramic objects. An artist came by and took them off our hands. To us, it was trash; to her, it was treasure!

It wouldn’t surprise me if Nicole found Amelia Earheart’s plane some day.

He is grumpy because the wine/beer is inside he is on the outside. When the wine is gone it's a witches bottle. Poor man I'm happy you brought him home. Great finds thanks Nicola

Every time you shake things in the water to clean it off, I start shaking my phone… as though that’s going to help get it cleaner!! Lol!

If Nicola finds the crown jewels next it will pale in comparison to that pipe with the very long stem which caused her to lapse into raptures of pure pipe ecstasy . To us her fans we know the feeling it happens when Nicola posts a new vlog. Another fun filled blog with a record length pipe then Nicola looking very summery as she sends greetings to young Archie another fan in Singapore" .Hi Archie History is fun no matter where you

I once worked at a bank with a change counter and one of my duties was to tend to it by taking out full bags of coins and removing (and appropriating, because no one said I couldn’t) objects that weren’t modern American currency from a catch at the bottom. I found wonderful things in there, including an American Civil War-era two penny piece counterstamped with the name T. L. Fletcher. It’s one of the neatest things in my collection and this video reminded me that I have it!

Ref. Counter-stamped coins: My brother served in Northern Ireland during the 1970’s and when home on leave he would bring back coins which had been stamped with the initials of the various paramilitary organisations. The squaddies would collect them as souvenirs.

Hi Nicola , still find it amazing that something as fragile as a pipe can lay in the mud and clutter of the Thames and stay intact, another amazing video 🌹❤️

For your long pipes, you could try taking a styrofoam pool noodle and cutting it to fit a little longer than a complete pipe. Then slitting One side of the new noodle piece lengthwise to form a tube that would wrap around and protect a pipe while it is still in your bag. ???
