Here we go! Dan and Chelsea hauled the Stumpjumper across the US all the way up to Whistler so I could get some bike park action in. Hopefully it survives the week.

Jay Dalton BMX - Sport
Oh no Jay, not you too. How dare you ride a bike with wheels that are bigger. I can’t watch this channel anymore.
Andrew I’m sorry about your tip, if you had that 4 inches of 4 skin like Spence you would of never hurt your tip. The only problem is Spence might struggle to find that one women willing to pull back his hood.
😂😂
And BRAKES?!? Brakes that function are forsaken.
@@txsam2802 so funny!!!!🤣😆🤣
Thanks for tuning in to my first Canadian big bike adventure! Let me know what you thought. I'm still trying to figure out how to put these mountain bike videos together and all feedback is greatly appreciated :)
Use some more of Danny’s footage. The people need a taste of his pace! You obviously did great too, especially for your first time but I knew you would!
Where Are you going in Canada next? It would be sick to ride at air rec centre with you
Its just perfect
Hey Jay,
great to see you on bigger bike.
It would be awesome if you get some Slopeduro setup for hitting the A-Lines. I think you will killing it with your bike skills 🔥
youre gangsta
Everyone needs to go to Whistler at least once, it's the dream bike park. So big and flowy and all of the rest. Dirt Merchant to A-Line all day!
wow that time lapse was mind blowing. Beautiful editing. Such skill can only be envied by us mortals
It took every once of my editing expertise to craft that beauty
HELLYEAH!!! half an hour of just extreme mtbing i love it
YES JAY! Love the big bike videos and so stoked to see you shred whistler! 🤙
Riding those chunky trails are so far removed from BMX skills. I used to think they were bad trails until I realized that people love the trails just as gnarly as they are. I grew up riding BMX and have ridden Whistler many times. Its a whole different skill set. Nice work Jay! I loved watching you clean up A Line.
This was great. Watched every minute of it. That person sliding down the berm before the moon booter was a priceless moment.
Thanks Phil! Glad you liked it.
I felt like I was dreaming when that kid dove in, hahaha. Had no clue how to react
@@jaydalton I've seen a lot of weird stuff happen at bike parks, but never that. Poor fellow had to do it right in front of the camera lol
It is really a joy watching you enjoy yourself riding bikes. No matter what type or form, keep doing it and bringing a smile on our faces. For me as a mountain biker, this was extra fun to watch!
Okay so the second half with the smooth dirt and jumps looked fun.. The first half with the steep tech shit and huge rocks looked fucking miserable. Reminded me of getting in WAY over my head on my dual sport once with no option but to skid down with the back brake locked and shakey jello legs just praying for it to end. Props Jay. You're a beast.
I'm so excited to see more of this. That was sick!
one of the most entertaining videos you've made jay, good shit as always bro
This is great! Makes me want to go there. Great video Jay!
I enjoyed this content much Jay! It’s a nice mix of content on your channel.
Coming back to rewatch bc I'm stoked for this Fridays vid! Recovering from a broken scapula & shoulder and you have me cheesin ear to ear - so fun watching you figure out whistler! Random tip that may be the camera playing tricks, but be sure to move your brakes as far in as possible. You want only your index on the *very* end of the lever. More leverage = less arm pump! 😅 Cheers Jay.
as a mountain biker this video gave me a lot of confidence. Sometimes whenever I try a different kind of trail I get in my head when I can't physically conquer it or have to back out of things -seeing you deal with the rough terrain was very humanizing of you ^^ thank you! would love to see more MTB content!
5 minutes inn and this is a master piece so far very enjoyfull to watch eventhough I thought I wasn't such a fan of big bikes. And the editing was really🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 outstanding!!!👌
Heck yeah I'm really glad to hear it, Isaac :)
Loved it Jay, looks so fun.
More of this dude!! Sick to see you shred big bike!! 🤟
That was sick Jay great job those are some crazy trails.
Love this video Jay, nice work.
Thank you Lucas :) Glad to hear it
Brooo, let’s go! This week of content is going to be dope!
Dude your mtb skills are so good I’m stoked for more
dang, J’s putting that Lay’g through its paces. I’ve never see Whistler’s ski runs after snow melt. if you’ve never skied or ridden Whistler-Blackcomb, then put it on your list. it has my favorite parts of Vail, Mt. Rose, Snowmass & Deer Valley. save or access gobs of money, though…those BC Rascals think it’s Aspen.
Hahaha, the wallet is a little light after this trip. Can’t imagine during ski season. I’m sure the area is equally amazing during winter though. I might need a little more snow experience than the 2 snowboard trips I took when I was like 10 before I take on those mountains lol
So sick Jay. Love to see the mtb content. I'm a giant and have fallen in love with single track over the past few years
i watch alot of mtb channels, the riders make it look so easy so its really awesome to see someone(with great bmx bike control) have such a hard time wuth the trails. it just makes us realize how difficult this stuff actually is, gives me a new respect for this type of riding.
It was a pretty big reality check seeing all of this stuff in person lol. The videos don't do it justice
So awesome Jay. I'm thinking about getting into the big wheels too. So it's cool to see that your getting into it and sharing it with all of us. Thank you.
Definitely worth testing it out :)
this was super fun to watch! i will never understand how riding directly over rocks works 😂
Waited all my life for this, thats why I'm watching it 11 days late
Good job jay!!! Love these mtb vids!
Thank you! Glad to hear it. Fridays will be MTB days the next few weeks
Daaaaaang. That one trail looked terrifying! Love the mtb vids.
I was terrified in basically all of these clips, hahaha. Glad to hear it, Jesse :)
My man killing the game. My older friends are telling me to get on a downhill they say when you yet older and bmx ain't that much fun anymore. Jump on a dirt jumper and feel the experience to ride and not hurt so much lol. Getting old after riding bmx hard-core like I did for years growing up. Keep having fun My guy.👏👌💯
hope you keep the regular uploads up 👍
Going to try 😄
Love the MTB content.
You are an MTB manualer 😉
You should make a video where you just work on your MTB manual and give all the tips and tricks. I'm sure a few minutes In a parking lot and all the BMX skills will carry over
I give you so much credit for attempting any of the double black trails at whistler. Those trails are no joke even for pros. Stoked to see you on the big bike!
i love this, literally yesterday i searched "jay dalton MTB" then i see this today, very happpy !!!!
Writing this before watching cause I'm just SO SO pumped to set you tackle this bike park. Of man this is gonna be fun to watch!! Just love this whole mtb fling you've got going on!
1st edit: definitely entertaining, don't have to be fast for that 👌
2nd edit: Sooo, hardest trail on the map on something you've described as a budget trail mtb that probably isn't set up fully right, FIRST time hitting a skate park...I'm down for watching it happen 😜
3rd edit: After watching you riding down that soft enduro/dh raw looking trail I feel seriously humiliated and offended...
4th edit: DANG you really nailed that "required CZcams clip" so hard!!
Heck yeah, really happy you enjoyed, Simon 😄
yes mr dalton loved this my man!!!!!!!
So sick! we should ride Mountain Creek in NJ sometime.
Insane maneuvers 🥶🥶🥶
Awesome vid! If you could only ride one bike park, Whistler is the one. You did great, seriously. Technical trails like that are crazy hard, and the camera does no justice, as you said. Very impressed!
Absolutely sick. Crazy how transferable bmx is.
BMX definitely helped me survive the day
I’m going next week, so exited for it!
Heck yeah! Have fun 😄
Looked fun , definitely want to go before summer ends .
Make it happen 👌🏻
This was fun to watch, camera angle felt a little low after you adjusted but I'm no Spielberg. Good stuff dude.
I was thinking "A civic? Ok" then 👀😍 that sound lol good stuff, good stuff. You did good on the MTB vid too✌️
Amazing video Jay! quick question, in the video you said riding this changed your perspective on mountain biking. In what way?
Meant it in a couple ways. First, actually riding this stuff was so much different than watching online. The steepness, difficulty, scale of the jumps and trail features, etc are way more than I expected. The challenge made it super fun.
Other than that, the overall experience was just unlike all of the bicycle stuff I’ve done so far. The scenery, the amount of people in one place to ride bikes, the village, etc. Hard to explain beyond that but yeah, it was a great time :)
So sick, your BMX and moto skills seem to translate well
what did i just saw here....??? maybe.... THE BEST INTRO IN THE WORLD!?
Gosh darn right
looks so fun! 4-hour drive from where I live I dont know whats stopping me!
Get over there!
Jay I cant tell you how happy this vid makes me! Now you just gotta do some enduro on your dirtbike! Best of both worlds IMO!
I want to try some enduro so badly but I don’t want to break my beautiful machine :(
"I hit every lever hoping it would stop me". I get it. After going brakeless on my bmx, I've accidently reached back with my foot on the back tire to stop on my mtb.
When you get back to Connecticut you need to take a ride to Thunder MTB Park in Massachusetts. They have some serious big boy jumps and a whole bunch of fun stuff.
Oh and some whiskey.
Definitely on the to-do list, Mr. Rys. I'll save the whiskey for the other mtb heads though :)
Holy smokes you YANKED on that last big double at the end of A-Line. So fun to watch man!
That was my favorite jump by far (mainly because that was the only one I had memorized lol)
YAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I’m not getting notified of my favorite riders videos anymore. CZcams is evil. Stoked to see the goat shred per usual !!!!!
Darn evil CZcams overlords. Thank you for putting in the extra effort Mr. Decker
@@jaydalton always bud. Thanks for continuing to shred and post this video tho not my preferred was very cool and entertaining. It’s kinda different seeing you out of your normal element. And still hit the craziest trails there. Keep pushing!!!!!!
I was gonna say going straight into the double blacks, not the best idea 😅 next time drive the camp rig out. Bring a few different bikes and tour around thru Vancouver to Revelstoke. That'd be an awesome content series! skatepark and bike park series 👌
Hahaha, it made things interesting fresh off the plane. Also that's just what Dan likes to ride; didn't want to make him tone it down.
Probably won't be for a while, but it would be amazing to drive out there and do some exploring. Would definitely be some next level riding and content :)
Awesome Jay !
Wouldn't have been possible without you and Steve constantly fixing this poor bike lol
Got to go there someday. Looks so nice. Awesome riding man
Everything about it is so surreal. The scenery, the trails, the fact that basically every car has a bike loaded on it. So different and so cool
@@jaydalton I can imagine, probably feels like a different planet. Wish I could take my dirt bike there, I’m sure you too haha. Awesome man 👍
That’s a bucket list trip of mine 🙌 also it was awesome seeing someone with INSANE bmx skills actually having some struggles on a big bike 😂 I am completely opposite, all my confidence in riding bikes is on mtb these days. Great video, loved it 👍👍
Same I transitioned away from bmx years ago. But I still love watching all the bmx videos. That makes it really nice seeing my favorite bmx CZcamsrs trying out mtb.
That was very cool Jay. I think if I was riding that all you would hear me say is "Don't die, don't die, don't die!" 😜👍
You did really well for your first time at whistler.
Enjoyed it. Variety is the spice of life... as they say.
I've actually never rode BMX, I'm a "big wheel" rider who likes watching Scotty, Spencer, and friends. So for me this was super cool to see! Great riding!
Thank you :)
awsome video you should check out thunder mountain bike park in the berkshires
One of these days :)
Heck ya man. The tech stuff looked nasty
" i hit every lever hoping it would stop me" lmfao
killed it!
Thanks Nic 😄
yesss
Stumpjumper alloy doing work. I cant jump yet but it looks like it can take it. i love mine.
It can definitely take a beating, haha
Bmx is awesome and MTB is awesome its just more maintenance in my eyes but not by much. Keep up the awesome videos Jay. May God continue to Bless you and us all. Much Love
Thank you very much, Yan! I can confirm the mountain bike has involved about 10x more maintenance than the BMX bike. Hopefully when I get something a little better suited for how I ride I'll stop breaking so many parts, haha
@@jaydalton hahaha thank you for the reply brother and yes you do need much more stronger and reliable parts for how you ride, which is very well and skillful in BMX and in MTB. I would have a blast riding with you but I definitely would be out of my league for some time until I watched, asked questions and learned more from you and your riding experience. Keep up the awesome skills and the sweet content brother. May God continue to bless you, me and all the viewers as well. Much Love
Oh hell yes!
Yes! Jay is so good on any bike lol
As long as the GoPro angle is right this is all good with me! FYI, I love your sister.
My fave video!
You have really progressed with the mountain bike. You took A line at some good speed.
As a mountain biker, this put such an interesting perspective on Whistler. Really wish you had a DH bike though.
DH bike definitely would have been nice, haha. Maybe next time
You gotta come to NH and ride highland sometime my guy! 💯💯
Hopefully before the end of the season!
@@jaydalton I'm out till Aug 17 with a broken wrist but if you come up after that hmu on Instagram I'll happily be your guide for the day fam
That was awesome.
It would have been nice to see you bring the road bike for the A-line
Ahh maybe next time
Ripping! MORE BIG WHEEL BIKES! You really be out here rawdoggin whistler double blacks...
sweet
Would love to see more mountain cycle content
More mountain-cycle content coming your way the next few Fridays :)
Amazing vid
Gotta try D1 it’s epic you’d love it!
It was closed this time :(
It's a learning curve whister's pretty intense too lol
Also really cool video Jay the POV gopro gets intense
Keep it flowing
wow daily uploads from canada? thanks
Yessir
that was just crazy! you destroyed it even without a downhill bike...
Jay The Whipper! Canadia edition.🤩🔥
Jay if you like jumping on those big bike you should get in touch with Phil Kmetz from czcams.com/users/SkillsWithPhil
He is on the east coast, not too far, and could give you some good micro tips. He is also from the bmx world. It could be great contents.
Are you riding a stumpjumper? I just got my first Mtb!! I’m so in love with this type of riding and having bmx background helps a lot too.
Yessir, that's the base model Stumpjumper. Congrats on the new bike!
@@jaydalton sweet, yeah I got a trail bike with similar travel to your bike. I can’t believe this kind of riding wasn’t on my radar earlier I really enjoy it. Take care friend🙏🏻
Saw you there riding by yourself. Was riding with my friends kid hopefully you found a local to show you around. Sure you got some anger footy haven’t watched it yet though.
Oh cool, should have said what's up :). If you've ridden the park a bunch this might not be the most impressive vid, but things got better from here don't worry, haha. Didn't link up with anyone at the park since I was mainly riding with Dan and Chelsea, but did get some guided Squamish slab action in that was super fun. Should have a video of that up soon
sick stunts
Thank you, sir
Looks sick.
Can confirm
I preferred the first gopro angle if it helps? Are you going to Crankworx?
Noted. Definitely overcompensated with the last angle :(
No Crankworx for me unfortunately. This trip was a couple weeks ago
@@jaydalton I guess it's probably super busy this week so probably a good call to go before. MTB stunts can be pretty fancy!
Been telling Scotty and Spencer to do this!
Damn man, you were ripping!
I hope to see you huck Crabapple Hits sometime this week.
It might be a couple Fridays from now but Crabapple may have gotten some action >.>
Dude... that would be so rad. Have fun, stay safe and thanks for the entertainment.
Would be cool if you Spencer and Matty went there on a trip lol
I might have to convince them. This was one of the best experiences of my life
sweet vid my dude
Those tech trails are like watching Jay's sister take a poop. Boss riding all that not even on a downhill bike though.
