Charles was fierce and brave. When it would destroy your career. He is one of my heroes
Which see Lynde, Paul.
@@michaelfalkner1186 Both were amazing. And Charles was a very good MG player.
"Charles Nelson Reilly isn't wearing any socks!" Brett's catchphrase could easily be the tagline of the entire show, lol!
Yes! That and the Motel in Encino 😄
Charles Nelson Reilly was light-years ahead of his time. He would be a superstar in today's world. ❤❤❤
R. I. P. Charles nelson reilly you will be missed by everyone in america".
I legit grew up watching Match Game. It was a lesson in comedy & comedic timing. The stories from the set are legendary. CNR is an icon. I cherish these episodes. Before politically correct television.
His banter with Brett always made me belly laugh
are you kidding? they couldn't do or say even half the stuff that is permitted on tv today, have you watched family lewd lately?
I love this show and my favorites are Brett, Gene & Charles. You can tell they cared for each. And all the guests seemed so genuine. So enjoyable. Pure fun.
Weird Al was right to do a song about him. He is hilarious.
"The doctors told me I could play another round."
0:14 "yes Allen everything I told you in New York is true"
The way he smiles after his remarks just makes everything even more funny.
This was great! Wish you had a Part 2 of Charles!
this set is wack I love it, why can't it be the 70's forever
Because we have legalized marijuana now.
And the internet.
And Cellphone's.
Why would one want to go back?
Bell-bottoms?
Okay, bell-bottoms; you win.
I wish it was the 70s too
I adored Charles Nelson Reilly! And oddly, am only just now -- 2024 -- "discovering" Him. I feel as if he's all mine!
Charlie was one hell of a guy. He will be in the hearts and minds of everyone 😊.
I love CNR! 💖💖💖
Love match game.
Even Burt Reynolds sings his praises in ENOUGH ABOUT ME
Brett and CNR were a wonderful combo on the top tier. Add in semi regulars like Nipsey Russell, Scoey Mitchlll, Orson Bean, or Bobby Van and that top tier was primo.
Gary Burghoff does an absolutely HILARIOUS impersonation of Charles Nelson Reilly!🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wish I could meet charles and Brett
Too late.
The match game game tune drives me nuts too, Charles.
Charles taught me what gay was.
And he did it with sass and class 🥰
My uncle Keith did for me.
@@MrRyan-wu4jx LMFAO
His was one version of being gay...he was so funny
@@Apollo_Blaze "one version" there's versions?
"The Clown whose name I can't remember"!! Brett and Charles HAD to have worked that out together! 😝😝😝😝
Chuck!
I'm gonna be cnr for Halloween. I got the dimple and can't see very well
I first heard about Charles when Alec Baldwin played him on SNL. Then I heard CNR by "Weird Al" Yankovic
These are the funny bits of Charles Nelson Reilly (as a tribute to him), a regular panelist of the American Match Game program.
I wish there was a SECOND Buzzr channel with NON-Fremantle stuff: Hollywood Squares, Pyramid, Gong Show, Newlywed Game, Dating Game, Joker's Wild, Name that Tune, Truth or Consequences, Tic Tac Dough, Weakest Link, Remote Control.
Some of these shows are not owned by Fremantle
@@1Soniccool Also, since there was a lot of tape destruction of any kind like recording over shows such as the ABC version of Password (1971-75,which was used for Family Feud daytime 1976-85). I'm pretty sure that they had enough money to buy other recording tape.
Or older episodes of Wheel of Fortune.
He’s Brett’s best friend making Brett laugh with his awards
"Nipsey-russell the poet lauret & game-show magnet".
I talked to this young kid when Nipsey Hussle got shot and killed and he had no idea who Nipsey Russell was I educated him
😍🤣😍this guy😍🤣😍
CNR! CNR! CNR!
Gene, Charles and Brett(although annoying)were the best!
My grandmother was a huge fan.rip~cnr~
These microphones
The best ever
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
"As they play the star studded big-money match-game pm 1977-1978 & now here's the star of match-game pm 1977-1978 gene-rayburn".
❤❤❤❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
00:30 This episode set the record for most combovers.
"My fantasy the invisible-troupe my cousin greg-winslow & myself & home inside the abandoned acme-market on route-61 in shamokin land of messopotamia northumberland-county ioml".
Well, I am here because of the Alec Baldwin 'S impersonation in Snl a long time ago, and now is even funnier 🤭🤭
LIKE no. 420, baby
I love this guy Charles. And gene rayburn is a perfect host! Sometimes he is snobby other times so generous to players and celebs! He has gotten creepy with some female celebs though
Howard Stern week of June 14/15/16 2023 on his siriusxm show spoke of how much he loved gene rayburn as a host and as a kid was in the studio audience His all time fave game show.
6:57 who is that? He looks so familiar but I can't........
Dick Martin, from Laugh-In.
@@johnd8167 thank you. Brain worms ya' know...
He was really a close gay man who was happy and proud
Never thought brett was funny. Charles was hilarious though.
Brett Somers was more into insult humor much like Phyllis Diller, Joan Rivers, and Don Rickles. If you're not into those comedians, Somers is probably not your cup of tea either.
@@partyguy101ify I've said this on multiple times but Brett is downright annoying as hell!
Gayer than Liberace... Lol
The women come across as more homophobic, the constant digs and low blows. I suppose it was progressive for the time
An adult man billed with three names? Charles Nelson, really?! I was embarrassed just seeing him on TV game shows, ESPECIALLY sporting eyeglasses 2x bigger then necessary. He was a waste of expensive air time...nothing personal of course.
Brett was not funny in the least.
People seemed really dumb in the 70's. Is it just me who thinks this?
It's you
@@staffryte951 So people are this dumb now too?
Yes
@@staffryte951 It's hard to disagree when Americans elected Trump for the highest office in the government.
