I'll stick with the 70s 80s version that was real entertainment yes it was wild at times but it had real talent and real fun to it

It was funnier when the question sounded dirty but the panel didn't give the obvious dirty answer. Like the cake one, a funnier answer would have been icing. We would have known what they meant by "icing" It isn't funny when you just come right out and say the obvious answer.

Honestly, I have to think the guy who copped the seagulls line was a genius. That clue was far too vague for everyone to give the same answer, meaning he was bound to lose regardless of whatever brilliant answer he could come up with, so he found a great misdirection, and got hugs from all the celebrities on the show.

Alec Baldwin should take a leaf out of the wonderful Gene Rayburns book Gene dressed to the nines You really looked forward to seeing his next attire Immaculate and a super host with personality Also they had suggestive answers keeping it clean leaving a lot to the imagination would make for a more enjoyable show

Is it just me or does anybody else hate the way the contestants on game shows act nowadays? Not nervous to be there at all, trying to be funny etc... It makes it seem fake to me.

Gene Rayburn had an outstanding personality and he was so talented He was dressed to the nines every single night .... They had great fun on the show and it came through loud and clear ... The. characters Richard, Charles, even Brett kept you laughing ... The other celebrities that came on added there own flavour .... Now it’s back on TV after all those years and guess what it’s kicking ass once more .... It’s one of our family favourites ...

10:39 This would have been the funniest answer I have ever heard on this new version of Match Game, but the number one funniest answer I have heard was to a question to the affect of- In the Senate, they have a nickel jar for any mistake Senators make, they put a nickel in the jar. What is one mistake anytime Senators make, they should put a nickel in the jar?

And this was within just 1 year since he won the election. And then Alec Baldwin impersonated Trump says- "Can someone explain that please? Please." And then one celebrity after another steps away from their seats and impersonate activists kneeling during the National Anthem in protest against the President. Alec Baldwin reacts in hysteria. In the meantime, the crowd is laughing hysterically for over a minute.

I am glad that this version got the axe by ABC. This version is trash and I will continue watch the 70s version. With all of the issues that Mr. Alec Baldwin is facing today ABC did the right thing. Give ABC a big thumbs up. Stick to the original version folks.

I grew up watching Match Game, in the summers. We never missed it... but knew it was a Hollywood Squares wannabe. If they are going to remake an old show, make Hollywood Squares. This is not very good, but it is based on a not very good original.
Hate to say it but given Alec's recent..legal issues they may have to find a new host for this.
Also, sorry Alec but Gene Rayburn was better.
