I bought one of these because of your review. Thanks. Great knife. I have big hands, so it takes some practice to 'flip' it. At first, I thought too small, but I got used to it very quickly. I bought it thinking it was for right handers only. I was very pleasantly surprised that it came with the left hand pocket option.

I got mine in the other day and love it. The only complaint I have with it, and it's the same complaint I have with all CJRB knives, is that I wish they would add some gimping onto the liner lock. I have large hands and closing the knives can be tough sometimes, especially if your hands aren't dry.

Customer support was helpful and said they would exchange it but I needed to pay for shipping it back to them. Not gonna pay another 10 bucks onto a knife I already paid full MSRP. Does the pocket clip not being recessed lead to any ability of it to wiggle? Sometimes the screw holes drilled in it are slightly too large allowing some side to side play if pushed on. I think they did that to leave the left hand side less of a noticeable eyesore.
Knifecenter has the black version for $35.95 plus $3.99 shipping. The other colored versions are just a few dollars more for some reason.

I ordered a CJRB Crag in D2, but they sent me the more expensive AR-RPM9, it is pretty much the particle version of 9Cr18MoV with a poor heat treat. I had ordered a Scoria in AR-RPM9 at the same time and both knives were soft and did not hold an edge.
9Cr18MoV gets quite hard, HRC 60 all day long when heat treated right. In no way shape or form is AR-RPM as good as D2 except it is stainless. 0.90% Carbon vs. 1.55% Carbon for D2 with 1% vanadium and 12% chromium. If you want a PM steel I suggest you don't go with a Chinese made PM steel. To much inconsistency.

for me the left handed pocket clip was key. i didnt know it, and i would have ordered one even if there wasnt a left carry option, but the pocket clip on the left is crucial to get a good grip on the knife to flip it. the detent is too strong to flip it with my right hand and the pocket clip facing outwards.

Only a few online stores here in Europe carry CJRB (at a hefty premium when compared to US prices), none of them have the Maileah yet.
I'd never return a knife simply because it doesn't have perfect action (unless it were a very expensive knife). I might consider sending in one of my more expensive Benchmade knives (940, 555-1) in case of damage or when the blade gets worn down, but that might never happen🙏
