Hi, I’m Japanese and I’ve just seen this wonderful music video and thought that the fan base could appreciate Minami’s lyrics if I translated stuff since I’m (mostly) bilingual.
The Japanese lyrics really uses a lot of pronouns, so as an attempt to have the lyrics directly translated as possible, I decided to just keep them vague as they are. It’s up to your imagination (probably) on how you would interpret the lyrics, and heck, I’m a native Japanese speaker and ide completely know what the lyrics mean)
(I also want her to notice me but that’s just another story😂)
English (rough, vague and direct translations) lyrics below:

Let's be real. Most people either can't understand or mishear like 80% of song lyrics in their native language anyway. Only after they like the song do some people look up the lyrics and/or listen to it over and over until they can hear them. And then a lot of songs have weird nonsense lyrics anyway or obscure hidden meaning, so even if you know the words it doesn't even mean you understand them.
Point is, there's nothing wrong with listen to music in another language and it's silly for anyone to hassle you about it.
I am a Spanish speaker and people around here listen to almost only music in English, which they do not understand and is normal among them, but they tell me the same thing when I listen to Japanese music (which I understand in fact because I know Japanese), but they don't realize that we are in the same situation xd

@@livetochange974 most of the mainstream music in English is kinda meh. Which generally happens to be the ones with hard to make out or nonsensical lyrics. The English music I listen to usually are the ones where the lyrics are easy to make out. Because a lot of the music I listen to either has no lyrics or it's in a different language. the ones I listen to in English have to hit me with their lyrics specifically for that reason.
Also Minami's voice is so powerful. Her lyrics hit hard but even without understanding them you can usually understand the emotions she's trying to convey with how she projects her voice. In more than one of her songs she sounds like she's crying as she sings it's beautiful. And in others you can feel frustration when she pushes her vocal range or emotions of a similar energy through that same tactic. She's incredibly talented I love her music because she conveys emotion through her voice more than I've ever heard in another singer before.
