Good idea to pick one up now! I had been looking at them on the preloved market for ages, but the condition was always a bit questionable.. You've found a really nice one!! I think the reissue of this bag is incredibly overpriced unfortunately so definitely one to get vintage. Really like your collection - I'm also into vintage bags (more so than new even..)!
Just got my vintage Gucci Diana in black suede leather today! A true timeless piece indeed. It can be worn casually or formally that’s why I love it so much.

I’ve seen the exact bag on Diana herself, and I’ve seen one in a local vintage reseller. I’ve bought a canvas one and another one in leather, both with bamboo handles for a fraction of the price of the new ones.

There's a tag sewn into the lining seams, and it has an authentication number on the back.
