Sakurai didn't want humans in Kirby, and the director of the Dark Matter trilogy disappeared. It's probably a combination of those factors that lead to Adeliene's disappearance.
No that was only for the Kirby Anime. He didn't want humans in the ANIME.

Just imagine if Adeleine was the 4th Kirby character added to Super Smash Bros over Bandanna Dee. I'd honestly love it as I've always loved her and think a moveset based off of the paint ability and a Final Smash of her painting a random Final Boss would be amazing and unique.
Nah, I think her Final Smash would be the Painbrush attack from Kirby Star Allies. But then again, still no new Kirby additions...

Parallel Susie as well so she does return.
Susie has appeared in three games at this point... 2 as bosses and one in the background of a mini-game.
Team Kirby Clash Deluxe featured Susie, so his statement doesn't even work with her.

Da Nintendude Technically, that was Parallel Susie, an alternate version of her affiliated with Dark Matter, but I get your point. Even if it wasn’t exactly the same, it was very similar.
Susie also makes a cameo in Battle Royale's Rocket Fuel mini game.

I want Adeline to appear in Star Allies, even if it's just a cameo.

Adeline's a very nostalgic character to me and my sister. I'd hope to see a return appearance in the next Kirby game.

I can call it by now, the extra mode of Star Allies will not feature King Dedede or Meta knight, but it will be a 4 player mode with past support characters being the heroes.
Adeline will use paint, and Taranza will use spider. I don't have an idea of the other two characters, but obviously their abilities will be tweaked to be able to solve all the puzzles in the game.

To be fair, Adeleine’s a dreamland series character like the animal buddies - she hasn’t really shown up much because the series has largely followed the Superstar style instead.

Tadpole Treble, yeah! It’s on steam, and it’s pretty fun. It’s one of three steam games I actually have haha! He also worked on another game named Nefarious, and that released last year too!

That's what I was thinking the game is too recent, but we did see Parallel Susie so....
She might return in The Arena as a boss or in the True Arena.

This is true, While Sketching is often used as a base for painting, this is usually excluded in one kind of painting, which Adeliene has always been known for; Watercolor.

The Kirby games seem reluctant to feature characters and enemies that debuted in the Dark Matter games.
But they've been getting better about it recently, so who knows? I personally doubt she'll show up, but I hope she does.

Since Gooey and Rick are in Star Allies as DLC I think we may finally get the return of Adeleine.
Nope she never did, neither did Gooey it was all just a dream, a long wonderful dream. Instead Nintendo announced that future games will no longer feature Metaknight or Bandanna Dee. Also King Dedede will be phased out from the series starting next year followed by Kirby.

In Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot, Bandana Waddle Dee had a similar role to Adeline's role in Kirby 64, producing a random health item to help Kirby.
I'm hoping Adeline is playable in a Adeline only mode in Kirby star allies

Adeleine is one of favorite recurring characters but I won't get my hopes up. That being said if the artist ability sticks around after this game, I could see the painter returning, hopefully as a mainstay.

Considering we didn't get any new Kirby character in 3DS & Wii U maybe they can make up for that by adding in both Bandana Dee and Adeleine. Bandana Dee for the recent Kirby games and Adeleine for the surprise character and she could be a throwback to the old Kirby games with her magic paint. Also, Inkling girl Vs. Adeleine(Ink Vs. Paint).

Here are some great episode ideas: Koopa Kids, Starfy, Takamaru, Ice Climbers, Mach Rider, the Mother/Earthbound series, and the F-Zero series
Looks like well never see her again... oh right, DLC.
In the Kirby 64 screenshot, it looks like she's summoning the enemy as opposed to attacking it, since it has a similar sprite to one of the enemies she summons as her boss fight.
Kirby Star Allies will probably have an extra mode similar to helper to hero in Super Star Ultra, where you play as the helpers. This can be backed up from the Kirby’s friends trailer where many helpers were on their own.

I think that’s the Mirror World version of Susie at the time she was looking for a way to return home after that incident.

Aside from spear, waddledees have also been associated with parasol since superstar so bandana dee could still be the star of a special game mode. Also metaknightmare has been in 3 games now so its possible that dedede or metaknight could be the star again. I personally think that this game's bonus campaign will focus on the partners, similar to helper-to-hero from superstar.

Please do Missing In Action on Stanley the Bugman from Donkey Kong 3. He needs to make a proper return just like Pauline did in Mario Odyssey. There has been speculation that Stanley could be Mario's cousin for years now.
Pauline doesnt count because she did reappear in the Mario Vs DK series after Donkey Kong.
It'd be amazing if he got back in a third person shooter, kinda like a cutsie Earth Defense Force.

The fact that you mentioned Adeleine having a possible role in Star Allies is pretty neat, because I was thinking the same thing. I'll also add that the spider ability made me entertain the idea of a playable Taranza as well. (He's some sorta spider-creature) Of course, I won't get my hopes too high for either. That typically leads to disappointment, but a man can dream...

I assume whoever designs newer kirby characters just can not get limbs and fingers correctly. A shame since some concept art shows certain characters with limbs and such and I think they look SO much better. They remind me of Ribbon and Adeleine.

It's funny, out of all the Kirby characters I previously suggested get a "Missing in Action" episode, you go with the one even I neglected to mention. I have to admit, I wouldn't mind seeing Adeleine come back again as a friend of Kirby's.

I would love a missing in action that covers Kraid from Metroid. He had equal status to Ridley in the original Metroid, and then also made a grand return in Super Metroid. Only to be completely absent from the series since (other than an obvious return in Metroid Zero Mission since it was a remake of Metroid 1). Ridley keeps returning, but I want to see Kraid again!

I had never heard of Adeleine until I started reading the web comic "Brawl in the Family."
I never heard of Adeleine until 2013 from a gameplay on YT
