15/16 wrench
7/8 wrench

Shop talk:
replacing the fuel filter housing is a labor than will vary depending on the model and year. in this case, the fuel filter housings was replaced due a high cranking times in the morning. air was in the system due a bad fuel filter housing

Can I ask you a question? I bought a newer 2015 freightliner for spare parts for my 2010 freightliner mine has the three filters can I use that two filter system on my 2010 without buying the kit ?
Is a good time to replace those old fuel lines that come from the tanks and the fuel splitter as well and have everything new 😎
Fransisco, I have taken off the return line to the two stage filter housing and when I begin to prime it there is an overflow of fuel flowing back to the fuel tanks. Is that normal? I can’t locate a check valve at the bottom of the filter housing and the dealership told me to change a return check valve perpendicular to the bottom of the hand pump that you change with a 10mm Allen wrench, however, this didn’t stop the fuel from pouring out the return line.
The truck will crank each time I prime it up but dies within 30 seconds to a minute continuously. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the video, I have a 2018 Cascadia with DD15 , I changed the fuel water separator filter today after my truck stopped on me multiple times with no fault codes or anything, and it starts right back, so I decided to change that filter, and I found some metal shavings debris in the bottom of the module under the filter, truck is still running but I’m afraid something is going bad , any help on that ?

I got a 2016 Freightliner cascadia and I keep putting antifreeze in the overflow tank. As I drive after about 80-100 miles all engine lights and stop engine lights keep flashing requiring me to stop and as I open the hood to check antifreeze level goes below the coolant sensor. Now when I loosen the overflow cap antifreeze comes back up above the sensor then I’m able to keep driving for another 100 miles and repeat the process. What is the problem there Fransisco..?
I had a similar problem with my 2011 just about drove me nuts mysterious coolant disappearing..I found out I had a leaking DEF pump coolant hose..I never knew there was a coolant hose attached to that pump go figure..🙄
Could be your pressure relief cap on the side of your reservoir that went bad not allowing air in or out of it like it needs to.
