    as it is break down voltage the diode doesn't get damage with given 27v such as for 5 v diode? ?what is the maximum voltage on which diode can run on?

      It does not depends on voltage. It depends on wattage of the zener diode which I have explained at the end of the video.
      If the multiplication of voltage across diode and current through it is greater than the wattage of the diode then it will burn.

    I want to retrofit some lights in my car and the rear lights have a constant 3v and when brake is applied the same is increased to 12v and when i use relay it constantly beeps clicks due to 3v is there a way to cancel that 3v and make it to work only when there is 12v in the curcuit. Please

    If i want to use a zener diode as a voltage regulator then do i need to connect 10k resistor at the positive terminal as you have used in your circuit.

    This setup does NOT work for Testing the small SMD Zener Diodes!!! The 10k Resistor burns down and the voltage is unreadable...! Is there any solutions?

    Sir PCB inverter Bord main No.1 Anode + Hoti Hai Ja No.3 C + hoti hai. Main SMD ki jagah simple ZD Lgana hai. 2 side wala... Waha lgana hai jaha mosfet hote hai. Please help me thanks.

    Can't we check d voltage just by connecting its leads directly to multimeter leads in reverse direction? Is a battery needed anyway?

    May God bless you.thank you very very much.soon i will upload on my video on my negatif resistance touch on of switch using only single bd139.its shocking me that i have no idea of the phenomenon that with fast switching will latch the switch and mild switching ( gently push) will turn it off.i am researcher of negatif resistance effect since 15 years ago.but it will work on certain treshhold voltage.

    Very clear explanation overall. However, a Zener diode may not be faulty if it has a higher value than your 27v supply.

      @@LuxmanPD272 I think I used 2K. A wider range (at least 1-3K range) will work. I used my bench power supply to see how much current was drawn (something like 20-30 milliamps) while testing a wide range of zener diodes, to arrive at 2K, because too much current can damage zenors.
      I am using a 30v supply, so I have to be aware that if I am testing a higher voltage zener, I won't be able to determine if it is faulty, if the voltage is lower than the breakdown voltage which causes a zener to conduct in the opposite direction.
