- Reusing pallet wood is quite the challenge. If you find quality pallets, break them down efficiently, and spend time milling them, there is actually some great wood to be found. I cut up around 10 pallets to get enough wood to build a small meeting table for my office. I ended up with many different types of wood, such as, red oak, white oak, pine, poplar, cedar, cypress, maple, a very fibrous reddish hardwood, and one more type I couldn't identify (kind of like maple but was greyish). It was a fun experience. My small jointer and planer were begging to be done after all that work. The size is 42"Lx42"Wx31"H. The base was made with poplar lumber found at a construction site dumpster. They were great to keep the base unfinished and rugged.
I blacken the screws on my Big Green Egg grill. Check out the app I created for Big Green Egg grills. Green Egg Nation - appsto.re/us/5dyb3.i

This is woodworking that brings out the true colors of the wood and quality of the craftsman.
That has to be one of the greatest pallet wood projects of all time. And a great Dewalt commercial to boot. Definitely love those tools.
+Gregory Alan Hope you don't mind but I am going to share this on facebook. Maybe some of my friends will watch this. I belong to a couple of antique tool collector sites.
Pallets are amazing, super cheap, good wood, I got 8 heavy duty ones made out of oak for free, and 22 smaller lighter weight ones out of pine or spruce for £1 each.
Spent a day taking them apart, another day sanding then smooth, and a day gluing and nailing them to create a wainscoting in my bedroom, £55 all in, when I was quoted £590 for planed, ready to go wood to do proper wainscoting.
And in my opinion the pallet wood looks so much better, different colour variations and thicknesses, really brought the room together.
This is really cool because it makes junk look like a million dollars. By far the coolest piece of pallet furniture I have seen :D
This is a Gorgeous Piece, Very Well Made, Great Tips and tricks along the way, an the Table is Fantastic, Love the table top, Super Job, Thanks for entering the Challenge and Best of Luck
It's rare to find anything of any quality built from pallets. This is one of those times. Nice work. Good looking table, and great video. Please keep them coming.
What a great design. I see a lot of room to riff on this idea too. Very cool, Kevin. Thanks so much for all you do for all of us!
*Now THAT is upcycling pallets! Compared to many other videos using pallets complete with some few cut ups, this is a true piece of art!*
Kevin, thanks for sharing this project. Very inspiring to watch and the music put me in the zone! What an amazing piece brother! Thanks again!
Definitely one of a kind. I like how you made your own butcher block out the pallet and the use of a roller to spread the glue. Great tip there. Thanks
I've got no major crafting or engineering skills, I wish I did tho, but I'm in awe of good craftsmanship like this.
Excellent job!
Wow, so much awesome going on here. Your infeed/outfeed tables for the jointer are great. The rough finished base looks great against the perfectly finished top, and the top itself is magnificent. This gives me the idea to do my countertops this way. Awesome job :)
The off cut looks like a city skyline. Really cool
Great video. I always enjoy seeing the great color and wood grain after I plane my pallet boards. Also, some great ideas.
Beautiful! LOVE it! The 'side up' random pattern of the boards came out great!
Great Job:)
Joe
Thanks. It's harder than you think to make it look random. It's funny you have to plan for random. Haha
+Kevin Jett I'm currently learning computer programming and, yeah... 'random' is a Bitch! :D
As for the table, I can hardly say anything that hasn't been said already - the rustic legs are great; the top is great and it looks as sturdy as all living hell. Excellent job! Cheers.
+Kevin Jett Where on earth did you find pallets from oak or maple? t guess not everything was a pallet
+adriana gutierrez to find hardwood pallets go to places that get real heavy shit like places that get stone deliveries

Bravo, Bravo and Bravo again!
The project is simple but the execution is brilliant. The best part is that using recycled wood!
Greetings from Bulgaria
Thank you for taking the time to film and produce this video. I'm making a butcher block countertop and I am using the same tools and methods you are. Keep up the good work!
Wow! Both the build and the video were outstanding! Can't wait to see more!
i do like your technique of using the blue tape to reduce splintering, thank you for sharing that
you deserve the praise then some, wish I had one tenth your talent I'm guessing your good lady was over the moon. good luck with the competition. regards Paul from London
Great video editing and camera placement...and the table is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
What a great project and fantastic video production! Your video was a nice surprise to come upon! One of the very rare instances where the music was just right and really added to the enjoyment. Well done!
Beautiful table Kevin! A lot of great detail from the lag bolts to the top.
Very nice! The off cut looked like a cityscape, might be an artsy type project there. :) Thanks for sharing.
Nice job. I also reclaim pallet wood for various projects. I have the kids at school do projects from pallet wood. They are amazed how rough looking wood can turn out to be a refined project. Thanks for the inspiration.
Great job, love these projects made from pallets, have a nice day !!!
Very nice. I recently completed my dining room table made from pallets. How's this for irony but I get my pallets from a Kitchen remodeling outfit. They get their items shipped in on hardwood pallets one time use. Anyway, I think you have me beat. I have 57 pieces in my table but it looks like you have significantly more than that. Great job and I enjoyed the video. Subscribed. Thanks for sharing.
DAM mate you put some time in to that , just awesome work there .you would never no it was out of just old Pallet nice job
Absolutely amazing table!! It came out perfect
Wicked job, you are clearly a very gifted carpenter. Very cool work shop set up too ✌
Wow!!! that table was beautiful and rugged!
What a mesmerizing video. Even the music wasnt distracting or annoying. great job! Im inspired
for sure are your skills and not the tools, really nice table, hope to see more projects from your Chanel, thanks for sharing.
Really awesome video. What beauty was hidden in something so mundane! I'm jealous of those chairs that get to sit under that table.
Outstanding job. I love that base and the trick with the bolts in the fire. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing project. I have no words. Excellent final result, great techniques.
I really enjoyed one of the best videos I've ever seen, always remembering to recycle.
Kevin, i'm a begginer in woodwork, but this video gave me a great inspiration, and learning! Thank u...and i will be watching ure tutorials!
Great project Kevin. Well done!!!
Beautiful work! Made from things society just throws away and thinks nothing of it!
By far one of the best videos I’ve seen on here.!
Fantastic work. I was a bit afraid when drilling the last holes on top of the finished surface without a limiter you'd drill through to the tabletop, luckily no.
Amazingly done Kevin..a table that would fit right in a gallery of great art.Nice music too...enjoyed it all.
+DunerecordsGent Thanks for the compliments. I've had a ton of people at work stop by and just rub their hand across it in amazement. haha.
+Kevin Jett aha that is a good sign because we all want to touch what we love..charge 50 cent for a rub.
Amazing table, amazing pallet project. That cut off at 5:40 looks fine for a decorative art piece. I don't know what you did it but I would keep it for sure.
Great job, you have WAY more patience than me, so repetitive. I thought I'd randomly tiled my bathroom once, only to take a photo of it and realise I'd made a pattern, Doh!!
Really nice !! We have a barn full of pallets. Can't wait to make things. Soon as we can replace the tools that were stolen 😢. Table turned out great !
This is great work! I'm hoping to make something cool from palette wood. Would love to see you do some more work with palette wood! Thanks for the share :)
Me he acojonado cuando te he visto poner el tornillo encima de la mesa acabada.
Muy chula la mesa. Buena idea. Felicidades.
Wow this is an amazing table! I need to start saving my scrap pieces to make something like this!
Well done, sir! Thank you for sharing your talent!
Excellent work KJ!
I love the top table pattern, so many color. Beautiful
Great Work Bro. Both on the table and also the video. Very inspiring.
Very Cool Kevin. Well done !
Really nicely done and great repurposing of pallet wood!
Good evening!
A beautiful work, your table was very beautiful.
You're very good at carpentry.
I already signed up for your channel.
Big hug!
Nice work on the table top. I've thought of doing something like that with scraps, but I've always gotten fed up with all the space in the shop they scraps take up and burn them before getting enough for a table top.
Excellent idea on the jointer extension wings...
That is insanely awesome - LOVE upcycling!!!
This was an amazing and inspiring video. Thank you for sharing. I want to do this project with my sons and make something and now I can see it is possible.
Stunning table! One of my favorites from the Up-Cycle challenge. I'd also be interested in seeing how you constructed the wings for your bench top jointer.
+MonkWerks with Fr. Thomas Thanks. I definitely wanted to show those extension wings in the video because I pretty much had to design them on my own. Not much out there on extending the tiny porter cable jointers. I originally extended it because I built my workbench and was jointing 8ft boards. The jointer is crap for long boards without extensions. I'll see if I can make a short video about them and tell how I constructed them.
you know that jagged section you cut off, would have been great wall art as a cityscape
I thought the same thing. Very cool over a doorway.
Steve Gardner exactly
+Duan Dao Or fill the empty void with resin and make a shelf or something.
+Duan Dao I immediately thought of this: www.google.com/search?q=diffuser+for+studio&rlz=1C1ASRM_enFI617FI617&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi0j83o1tbMAhWBCSwKHXhKBHgQ_AUICCgC&biw=1120&bih=633 Of course you need to make a hell of alot of tables ;)
TRUEiMPROrecords oh yeah that too
Really cool looking table. I'm kinda "over" pallet furniture but this is really sweet. Great job! 👍🏼
Awesome job! no words, you have awesome communication skills.
Great Job. The table is awesome and you had some really good tips. great video quality by the way.
Looks great man! that offcut was looking really nice as well! :D
Ok, I’m impressed. This is beautiful. Subscribed!
Well planned and executed. Love the table!
Fantastic vid.
Great table.
Your shooting style and editing are 1st Rate!!!!
The video and editing were done on a cell phone. I know his dad and he told me about it. Kevin is very creative.
Amazing! I have a lot of pallett wood. You have me thinking!
Very nice result. I think the reddish fibrous stuff is douglas fir. It gets real hard for a soft wood. Very common in pallets
Great video! I am wanting to do something very similar in my workshop except much longer so I can make a workbench. thanks for the video!
Phenomenal piece of work! Loved it!
Very cool and creative love the shape of the bottom section.
Excellent work.
Thanks for sharing.
All the best.
