Good list overall, the one thing I’d chance is moving ancient box up to tier one and pidgeot control down to tier two.
Curious about Espathra, IIRC it was the third most played deck on day 2 at Brazil, not bad at all. Meowscarada ex would be rogue, right? At last it got day 2, and in 2 tournaments in a row!
I can see it as """bad""" insofar as Xatu is a ridiculously inflexible, and occasionally bricky, blank eyed little bastard upon which the deck basically hinges.
If only they could just allocate to your active INSTEAD of just the bench...

Even though it's down at T3... THANK FUCKING GOD someone else realizes that Future Box and Iron Hands Turbo/Future Hands are DIFFERENT DECKS. So many people label IHT/FH as Future Box and it tilts me so much.

Lost Zone Tina player here looking to get some tips on the Charizard match up? New to the competitive scene as well.
I think Tina generally likes the charizard matchup.
As long as you haven't taken 3 prize cards yet, you can OHKO it with iron leaves or star requiem, and it can't OHKO you. Nest ball and mirage gate make it so you can almost get iron leaves whenever you need him, *almost*.
If you can get him setup early, Greninja can snipe two charmanders/charmeleons in one turn, which can make it difficult to setup charizard, or at least make it difficult to set up another charizard later in the game.
Tina VSTARs lost impact makes it very easy to clean up with Sableye.
You gotta check out some of the Scovillian Ex builds going around. Tearing up the ladder with it.
Tier 3 takes down the regionals! Pretty wacky and wild top 8

I actually meant to add this to the tier list and forgot. I’d put it in rogue but if it was played enough it’d fall into tier 2.

arceus vulpix with noivern and a mimikyu brought me to master league easily and is insta win against the best decks. zard, chien pow, future hands all cant attack you, only bad matchup is lugia
Yeah, but the tier last seems based entirely off of high profile IN PERSON competitions
Ladder is a different beast, influenced by things such as
1.) Gotta play and win a LOT of games to get to highest rank, which will make control decks a lot more rare
2.) Which decks are made readily available will probably influence the ones you run into more often
I.e, you don't just see Zard ex because it's DA BEST, but because they also gave us a bunch of free Zard and Pidgeot Ex in the starter deck
I have to disagree about lugia. it gets wrecked by most of the popular decks rn and the inconsistency just makes it terrible. i mean yeah it can pop off, but that doesn't happen often.
I just beat the top Charizard deck with my Ceruledge. Maybe it was luck, but I got Ceruledge out on the field so quick.
I dont see why iron hands ex is tier 2 when it full counters lugia lost box acient box and play well againts charizard

Totally disagree with espathra ex, havent lost to any charizard ex deck so far (online and IRL). Got first place on both tournaments i have played using espathra ex IRL .
I've whooped that "Meta" Charizard with LunaRock/Mewtwo EX multiple times 😅.
Any deck can beat any deck

As much as Zard gets love, its not really good in competitive TCG.
The only ones I remember being good is Reshizard, RadZard and Zard ex

I think you guys are crying too much and need to suck it up, if you compare Charizard ex to other top decks in previous formates it’s no where close to the best and most broken ones, the deck will lose viability over time
Me who is playing the raging bold ex deck 🥹 I would like to see the decklist from that. In online I had a winstreak about 10-12 but in real tournament I got 1 win 1 draw and 2 loses
