I’ll give this nice young man a glass of water 💧 so that he can have his thirst quench whether they are homeless or not. The bartender was so out of line in telling the homeless veteran about him being lazy. Don’t fire her, have her clean the dirtiest toilets 🚽 in the whole bar.

I work in a convenient store, it's against the law to deny water to anyone anytime any day for any reason. She should be arrested.

It's a good thing that Sarah saw Martha's true colors, the man fought for his country, and she treated him like mud on her shoes. Martha's lucky that Sarah only just denied her the job, but didn't tell her boss as well how disrespectful Sarah was to the poor veteran.

Man, Martha was so rude to him, he asked for help nicely and she harshly and callously refused him. Everyone should be treated with kindness and respect. I wouldn't be surprised if Sarah reported Martha's rudeness to the other customers who attended the bar and she went out of business.
She deserves everything she got.
An employee doesn't have the absolute right to decide who comes into a restaurant for service. That is the right of the owners of the restaurant. Not even a manager can decide who is served at a restaurant. This waitress really dug a hole for herself and she'll have to dig herself out. And her not even bothering to at least see the dog tags was the ultimate in disrespect and haughtiness.
I love this and the message. The only part at the end I would change is from, "Treat everyone with respect because you don't know who will be watching" to "Treat everyone with respect because everyone deserves it." I wish that hideous mean woman's boss had been listening in on this exchange! She's lucky to have a job at all. She clearly should not be in the hospitality position in any company. Not a people person at all.
That's what my late mum use to say treat everyone equal and never different everyone deserves respect no matter what never judge a book by its cover and that is so true.
Bartender was scrolling through her phone but refused to serve the homeless man, lacking in empathy!!! She should know his true background, offer a listening ear and offer water for free. His old friend will be pissed with her, she threatened to call the cops on him!! Martha would be getting an earful from Sarah and get dismissed, time to say bye-bye permanently!!!

It is a overwhelming struggle for me to contain my anger at this woman. I know they're just actors. However it pushes all of my levers.

After dinner, Sarah offered the veteran a job at her company, which oddly enough, he is a whiz at artistic designs. He gladly accepted the offer, and was able to save money to attend therapy. Martha was ashamed for how she treated the veteran and has since then been compassionate to her customers, despite the fact that Sarah cut ties with her and would never believe her mended ways anyhow.
Martha got just what she deserved, karma have a way of hitting back at you, hope she better pray that she doesn't end up like the man she had mistreated because it will not be a pleasant sight evil woman, 🎉🎉🎉

When i worked at dunkin the management would ask is to tell homeless people to leave. I'm like you pay me to make bagels and sandwiches, i'm not security, if you want me to kick people out, pay me what a security guard makes, other than that, do it yourself, has nothing to do with me

I saw in the alternate world that the homeless guy isn't homeless and the one who works at that same bar while the bar tender is the customer and he was getting flirty with her which got her upset and that resulted in his termination in the alternate earth
Martha lost her friend Sarah and job opportunity thanks to true colors in being rude to the war veteran who needed help & she refused to help him from the beginning of the story. In the end karma has really bite her in the ass when Sarah cuts ties with her and help in the time ⌚ of need. Serve you right 👉 Martha in the future 🔮 treat people like you want to be treated .

I own my own business, and I make it clear to any new hire. Anyone who treats any costumer disrespectfully I don’t care if they’re just asking for water or directions you’re discourteous or you’re rude. I don’t care how long you’ve been working for me. I don’t care how much time you put in I will fire your ass on the spot.
Bartenders should be nice to their Customers
I am sure that many bartenders are ordered to be abrupt with homeless people. There is also difficulty with "using the bathroom", if you are not a guest.

1 day in july i stopped by mccdonalds tonhet some water because i was about to pass out with dehydration and heat stroke (very easy for me to do) and they said i had to pay. I told them if i pass out i will sue their A**es and they promptly gave me some water. I dont remeber why i didn't have my qalletbthat day but i didnt have any money on me.

All true but in some situations it’s ok looking at your phone if you’re at work ,if you’re working at a dead bar just standing there or have an overnight job with with hours of sitting there.
