Bo Diddley and Chuck Berry were the first musicians I ever heard, from that moment on I was hooked. Now at 62 my taste in music is extremely eclectic, yet I will always go back to Chuck and Bo when I feel music today is flailing.
I sung this song all the time when I was young. I’m 47 now and I still love this song. I sung it to my two kids and they love it too. It’s just a fun song.
How the heck do you know all the words.. unless your grandpappy or some other person sang it to you in your young youth. Loved his energy and his audience involvement. I think i got to see him and Fats Domino at University with surprise they were both still with us. Great concert. Chuck lived to 90s. Only recently left us. Thank you Chuck!
My dad told me 1 day when we went fishing. At the river, he said. Do you know your mom's got to do your laundry? And I realized that I was wiping up with my shirt.
We sang this at the VFW in Orem/Provo Utah in 1986, my dad would entertain by playing his six string acoustic guitar and singing this there I was his back up singer. It was so hard not to laugh while singing.🤣🤣🤣
