2021 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta

- The Albuquerque International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta is the largest festival of its kind. With around 600 hot air balloons and almost 1,000,000 attendees, it is a spectacle to experience. The event is full of balloon rides, a special shape rodeo, competition and hundreds of colorful hot air balloons. In this episode we take to the skies in one of the most iconic balloons at the event, discover how hot air balloons are crafted, explore the history of the sport and in general enjoy the energy New Mexico has to offer.

My hometown ❤️. I remember the very first year they held this festival. It's evolved so much over the years. If you haven't been, go, you'll love it.
Amazing! What would you say the biggest difference is now?
@@OfftheCuff_Series The organization and the actual park. There was no balloon park in the beginning. They were taking off from the mesas or parking lots. In the beginning there were a lot more landings in unusual places. They really have it down to a science now.

Wow - beautiful visuals all around. Takeoff at dawn, rising with the sun, being guided by the wind… Seems very peaceful and meditative until you remember you have to land a 600lb balloon, hahah. Super cool seeing how the wind at different elevations can move the balloons in opposite directions at 17:45
Pretty crazy right?? The feeling of being weightless was very fascinating. The box pattern in Albuquerque is a true spectacle

We are thinking about going to the festival this year. A few questions. 1. Where do you park? 2. There are so many type of tickets. Which ones should we buy? Are there separate ticket between entertainment and festival?

16:52 the REMAX gotta be my fav balloon, there brand is really associated with balloons. I wish you have shown more of the roof landing, I hope nothing got broken. I really wish I knew how to fly one, I am really interested in air sports such has this.

Actually the most primitive form of flight is jumping off a 100ft cliff with hand made wings.
