Honolulu Rail, Keone‘ae Station, Kapolei, O‘ahu

While flying my drone near the new Keone’ae Station in Kapolei recently, I was able to get some footage of one of Honolulu’s new trains going along the tracks. HART (Honolulu Area Rail Transit) has been testing their rolling stock in advance of the planned opening of this long-delayed line (no expected opening date yet). This will eventually be an important backbone to Hawai‘i and Honolulu’s transportation networks. This station is near to the University of Hawai‘i - West O‘ahu, and will service neighborhoods in the moku of ‘Ewa, including ‘Ewa Beach and Kapolei.
