Riot Games would like you to believe that League of Legends esports is very professional but, at the end of the day pro gamers are still gamers. And sometimes it's hard to resist the urge to troll.
Gaming trolls come in all sorts of shapes and sizes so today we take a look at few times that pro players listened to their intrusive thoughts and did a little trolling.

About that trolling Faker thing; It might be that the qingtian wasn't just intfeeding but actually matchfixing. Faker's games are heavily betted on in China, so it wouldn't surprise me that the other guy tried to get in on the betting & then fix the match in his favour. It is after all easier to lose than to win. Could also explain why he got fined 8k instead of the 1-2k you see more usually.

Had a game in KR challenger where Faker got upset and started to "run it down". Blew my mind. Ended up winning anyways as I hard carried with Yasuo so no one really cared but it was still shocking for me to see that behaviour. I was going to post about it but then I woke up and realized it was all a dream and I'm still hard stuck in Gold.
As soon as you mentioned Yasuo it became fake because everybody knows Yasuo players can't type anything other than EZ

I can actually respect the decision for Uzi to stay on stage. I have actively gone quiet in chat if I realize I am getting tilted to reduce the chances of tilting other players on my team. If he knows that he would negatively impact the discussion between games removing himself is actually not a bad idea. Better than going and tilting your whole team at least.
Rationally, it’s not the best thing to do though. It is bound to cause a fracture in the teams morale. The better thing to do would be to still regroup with your teammates and discuss what the team could do better in a calm but direct manner. I know if I was on a team and one of my teammates refused to talk to us after a game I would be disappointed or angry. It’s a pretty emotionally immature act. And unless he explained to his teammates that he removed himself from the team to prevent himself from lashing out before the next game (which I doubt he did), his teammates would probably be pretty annoyed at him.
You cant tilt with a team you play every day, you stay more with your team than your family

@@JackH2254 I find it very likely that he was just realigning his focus and reflecting on his own mistakes to not let the last match effect his next one and thats kinda harder in a group setting. They're all friends living under the same roof, that play together 8+ hours a day, they probably somewhat knew what he was doing already and considering they know eachother so well I dought he would have trouble telling them what he was thinking and doing.
I remember a game where our teammate thought someone was going to dodge, and so he picked yummi jg. Funniest part is, we won, and all called it the jg diff at the end (their jg was also really bad which was hilarious) probably tilted them to no end.
How did he clear?

Faker's well respected reputation and the unjustified reaction from riot (on the trolling player which is not gonna do anything) that would truly lead to Faker boycotting will SERIOUSLY hurt. The main part is bc riot's bad judgement and Faker's reputation would just spread the incident to other fans
P.s. in short it means that millions of Koreans player will also boycott. That's not counting international fans of faker and other professional players

In the spanish regional league, a player named "Pepiinero" was playing neeko bot in a professional game and got camped. He got tilted, bought mobility boots and started running it down before ragequitting. He got punished by riot and the team had to play with a sub, that sub was Flakked.
Best part of the story is how the coach tried to justify it by saying he bought the boots to try to generate utility and later his internet went down.

In the Brazilian CBLOL we recently had a team named Rensga going 1W-17L, mostly because of their toplaner - a korean import named Trap. His former teammate called Minerva went to a podcast (Flow Games MD3) in which he told the hosts (including one of the CBLOL casters) that Trap would pick Ornn and intentionally miss many ults, upgrade random items from his teammates instead of the right ones, and mostly just intentionally feed in regular pro matches.
Sounds like a case of $322

Another funny case of a proplayer trolling on stage happened not long ago in the brazillian league (CBLOL). There was this player called Trap who played top for Rensga. He pretty much just played yasuo and yone, and when these two champs were banned he would just troll. There is a game between Furia and Rensga where he is playing ornn and he intetionally misses every ult. He even upgrades de support item first. If you have the time you should definitely check it out.

For what it's worth! The very first image you show of a Teemo pick in the intro slideshow has Viper picking Teemo ADC against MVP, when he was on Griffin.
He won that game, and it's not the only time he picked it (he played it 3 days prior as well, and also won). That was in the APC meta and I suppose it could've been a troll, but it stands to reason that one was actually a legit strat.
Just putting in some background because I love weird picks that do well and Viper's Teemo is one of the ones I love, a rare exception to Teemo's precedent.

Here in Brazil we had a story of a korean top laner import. He was main yasuo/yone, so, whenever he didn't get these too champions he just trolls the game, Ints, and everything else. As Ohrn one time he found a way to not land any ult in the whole game and he upgraded the item of the sup and midlaner, having and viego jungler 6/0 and an jinx ADC 4/0

C9 Hai played Teemo against TSM Bjergsen in 2014 and he was such a mushroom terror that Riot ended up Nerfing the champ. I highly recommend watching the video for anyone who hasn’t seen it.

I was there in Busan when Uzi refused to leave the stage. We were having a laugh and joking about his temper tantrum.
In my opinion, there is a difference between trolling and maliciously ruining the game
I for example love to play champions in the jungle that are usually not junglers (Lucian, Alistar, Taric, etc.) But i play it seriously and try to win, it's just that i have more fun when just playing what i want. And if i do this in ranked, i ask my team if they allow it.
And then there is trolling that actively loses the game intentionally. Like players running under turrets for no reasons, supports trying to steal all jungle camps or afkers that leave after 3 minutes because jungler took a minion. This form of trolling is not okay.

funny story about the chat part, I used to be on my overwatch team in college (it was like a small time league with basically only local community colleges) and I was infamous as the "Lick Me" guy, because I got really really good at cancelling things with taunts, and there is a reinhart emote that said "LET ME SHOW YOU" but if you cancel it at a specific point it sounds like he is saying lick me, and every time I did anything, put up a shield, ulted, charged, I would make him say lick me. I actually got in trouble for it when a reaper player got tired of hearing "LICK ME" before getting charged off of a cliff/into a wall because his positioning was terrible and I kept killing him with my charge. Good times

On the player who didn’t go with his team. Idk if I call it a temper tantrum but sometimes u just need some alone time to mentally reset. Which sometimes helps more than talking to your team

Viper's Teemo and Lehends' Singed. Good ol' Griffin botlane, each is undefeated on those champs in their pro careers (Viper 2-0, Lehends 5-0)

Don't know if anyone mentioned that already, but there was a pro game where Teemo were picked and actually carried due to the ADC meta and enemies picks.

I don't remember, but on paper Teemo is really strong as a second dps. So probably support, mid or carry. In 2022 there was a troll pick on top, but had a good lane vs Aatrox and Graves, so not rly a troll pick, since enemy also had Sett and Kai'sa. Because there is a difference between annoying and cancer/unfun champ . Teemo ,gnar are annoying but champ like vayne , Fiora , Irelia are just unfun to play against, in lane and in general.
Teemo used to be a top tier annoying champion. But now there's so many champions that are way more annoying to play against than a Teemo.
If Riot released Teemo today he'd have a dash and a wind wall when he goes invisible xd.

Gank him before he has shrooms. Alot. Or have your top play safe and stop fighting the teemo. Stay under tower or out of range.
@@yaboi21321 Yeah the Teemo would just freeze under tower so you can't gank him and once he hits 6 then he would just clear any waves that come his way and keep the freeze for his items. And the fighting part easier said than done as Teemo is going to try and cheese them plus if you try to camp him you are just wasting your time as his jungler can get free objectives while he has a potential to get a double kill
If any champion not just Teemo hard counters yours just roam and not stay in lane it is way better than just feeding them and your team actually has a higher chance of winning especially if you are ganking to get your team ahead just because you got hard countered as you can't even farm under tower if against a counter like that so again roam or lose those are your only two options outside of dodging

Hai actually picked Teemo (ostensibly) without trolling in early 2014 in an LCS match. Cloud 9 won the match and Teemo did (resonably) okay-ish.
I remember Hai C9 picked teemo in LCS vs TSM also

those are flex picks because draft order also matters a lot more in pro play the same reason why your kayle wants to be last pick
I remember after a night of super heavy drinking in 2015 a bunch of my friends and I decided to play some ARAM. We got into a game with C9 Balls and a bunch of his personal friends and won, mostly cause he stopped playing for 15 minutes "to go take a shit". The game went on for half an hour cause the first half was said shit and by the time he came back I was just too tanky as garen for them to get through me. Still the highlight of my entire league career. I got to play with a dude who went to worlds that year from my favored team. His friends were pretty damn good too, only reason they didnt steamroll us was cause they were down a player for the first half.
I don't quite understand about solo q games with Faker because if you've been on his stream and seen him play, then you know how often he doesn't take the game seriously, at the time of death or even just a recol he can collapse the game and play something else in parallel
There were also cases when the Faker himself died intentionally, simply by going under an enemy tower and giving a shutdown. Of course, he deserved the title of the best player for what he did at the tournament, but what he does in regular games, oh, I would not want such a player in the team

the thing about thebausffs is even though he's 4/15 he's still arguably the most fed player in the game because his cs per minute is extremely high even for challenger standards and almost every time he dies he gets something equally valuable from doing so be it plates towers or even if its just dragging 3+ people to come kill him and wasting their time while his team gets objectives

I believe the pro players are played absolute INSANE amounts, like 300k, so 8k is not really a big deal for them

Valve has the same mindset as Riot they are just a lot worse at implementing it.

To be honest i dont like the mata-thing. I loved the freedom of picking what you like (and i can agree that some picks are just shit on some roles and its nonsence to pick those combinations). But when the meta-thing arrived you got flamed for not fullmeta picks even if you carry THE WHOLE GAME. My favourite example is old Soraka mid. I got flamed so hard but i was winning those games almost alone. But still got flamed from my team :D
