Great video, hope we get to see more matches
Strategy on 5th game, like you stick to plan. Exposed the weakness of opponent
Yes! STICK TO IT
Nice match! I have some ideas, but play at a much lower level. Curious if they'd apply to your level of play.
1. After his fh flick warmed up, you tested his long wide backhand corner as a variation to your short serve to his middle(which happened to be located in his backhand since he stepped around). You said you had some success. I think another option for a long serve would be down the line to his wide fh. Since he's premoving forehand step-around receive in the later games and trying to decide whether to bh push, the wide fh should be open as an occasional option. Kinda the inverse of the usual short to fh/middle and long to bh strategy everyone plays against bh flick receivers.
It looks like in the 5th game when you went short bh and short fh that seemed to trip him up just fine though. Even without the long fh serve, his flick really broke down under pressure.
2. Your opponent's inside out flick was good. However, he pretty much always went inside out to your bh/middle. Rarely did he short push to your fh and almost never flicked to your wide fh. In this scenario, you realized that the best option was to avoid the line entirely and change service/receive strategies. However, if you cannot get away from his flick in the future, one option might be to fully commit/prepare to counterattack his inside out fh flick with your backhand and sacrifice any points he plays to your fh, kinda like how you did on serve receive. Since he does not play enough points to your fh, the few points you'd lose there would be inconsequential to what you gain returning all his flicks to your bh.
3. Lastly, your opponent's off-the-bounce bh rally was strong. However, his response to higher bh pushes was always a heavy spin opening bh loop instead of a power loop to finish the point. In emergencies, you might consider pushing a little high to his backhand and trying to exploit the lack of power.
great video and very good idea to upload your matched to let us learn from them
thanks seth
Great video!!
Good match. Everytime I watch one of your videos I learn something. I strongly believe you have the best and most informative table tennis content on the web. Keep it up and good luck in the German league!

Seth this is my team SportBund Versbach. An Amazing team I played there from 2017 till 2020. Daniel, Thomas, Felix, training partner of Timo Boll Andreas Ball, Michael, Pit and others are great players in this team. Wish you good luck in your season.

Oh Seth has a new channel for matches. Good job youtube with the recommendation
haha you were ranked with 1750 points based on your previous games here :D lets see where you end up.
Can you speak german or any plans to learn it? I saw that you used to play in germany in 2012/13
Maybe put the word "Regionalliga" in your video title in paranthesis or so. that may get you some random german views/subs.
I can speak a little german, I studied german in highschool and lived in Hamburg for 10 months. I like german its a cool language!
Guten tag! Congrats on the new channel and good luck with your adventures in Deutschland.
Thank you very much!
Good match and great commentary :)
Thank you!!
Great that you training and playing now in germany. Are you practising only in hipolstein with alex fl. for example and other team mates or you traveling in germany and you are switching your training partners? How long you will stay here and will you visit other citys? Best regards :)
Im practicing in Bietingheim bissingen near stuttgart with a group of young guys. I only go to Hilpostein to play the matches but Alex Fl is a really nice guy I had the chance to talk with him for a brief moment
Saw you when you played against SV Haiming. I really enjoyed that :).
Thank you!! Ive enjoyed playing in germany this year lots of wonderful people and great matches
Aways love your content
Thanks :)
Nice match. What's your German rating? It's crazy that someone 2500 plays in the 4th division... Just shows the level of German TT.
I think its 2050 or something like that, it was low when i came here because i played back in 2013. I dont look at it too much I just play ;)
@Seth: Having followed you for a while and seeing your play I’m sure that the TR of 2050 must still catch up with your level these days. You are a lot stronger than 2050.
@@PechPongMatches-bx2qe I heard the way to estimate was to subtract 300... So you are likely 2200 German
It‘s currently at 1993. Looking at the results i would say a rating around 2150 would be reasonable (e.g. Winning against Daniel at 2163 but losing to Konrad at 2130). Do you now practice more / have better training partners or coaches than before?
I don't live far away from Hilpotstein, is it possible, however to contact you to make a training session??
Hi, I am training in Bissingen Stuttgart area are you around that area? I only travel to Hilpostein for matches.
In bietigheim bissingen? They play 3rd division too right? Maybe we see u playing there in the first team one day?@@PechPongMatches-bx2qe
@@PechPongMatches-bx2qe unfortunately not, i live in Nürnberg. Last Question, wich thikness have yours K3s?

Id say you improved your bh a lot.
The only thing that sticked out to me were two repeating mistakes.
- underestimating the backspin of daniels serves and therefore looping too much forward instead of up. I guess you could have hit the flick harder and more upwards. Even if you would misread the serve and there would be nospin serve you still would make a dangerous opener into his weaker backhand.
- looping with your bh upwards within the rally instead of hitting more forward. The exact opposite of the point mentioned before. You often do this perfectly now and i admire you for your bh rallies, but several times you opened up with your flick and looped with an upward motion again, hitting the ball to high and letting it go out of the table. On top of that issue, that broke your own rythm several times.
Besides that really good video and insight. Hope you doing fine here in germany. Sadly the Bayern or the Regionalliga Süd matches in general are too far away to simply see one of your matches live
Hi thank you for your input! I couldn't agree with you more! Ive been aware of that and try my best to drive the ball forward more without "fearlifting" if your ever in the area would be great to see you there :)
Do you get paid to play in this division?
yes, its not amazing but its something. :)
why your previous video disappear?
Isn't this a different/new channel?
this is a new channel dedicated to match reviews yes, I have been seeing a divergence of viewership interest on my first channel, I love posting my matches and talking about them and want to upload all my matches so now I can do that with this channel
@@PechPongMatches-bx2qe awesome, I'm subbed to both, love watching your content Seth. If you ever come to the UK let us know:)
I think you were a bit lucky: There were many situations were your opponent was already in favor of winning the rally because you were far behind the table and he missed many of those high balls and in the fifth set at the start he had managed to play that deadly forehand flick but you had an edge ball and a point later another net ball wich set you off to a head start in the fifth set which he didn't manage to catch up.
You win some you lose some thats just the game. I was able to keep my head and go for my shots and not give up. I will most likely play him again, I will fight my hardest again and we will see what happens.
i stalked you over click-tt. i am confused on why you had to start on like 1666 TTR. was there no chance of getting TTR that fit your actual level?
also congrats! only 1 or 2 wins away from cracking the 2000TTR.
@@CMCMTTTV oh thank you.
7 days ago it was at 1990. I doubt he has 2100 already
Working on it 💪
First!
yes very First!!!
