    I started Rose's of Provence in the upper right corner with that flower on the tree. Found that I messed up with a color and decided to pull it out....not easy, so, away it went !!!! Also, have A Treasured Time started. Enjoyed your WIP parade.

    Another Awesome video...Wow ,you have so many beautiful Dimensions and your stitches are so perfect 👌. I do agree diagonal Is slow. Ive cross stitched for over 30 years and thought it was a dieing art until last year when I found flosstube and Facebook Stitching Groups. I was Amazed at all the people that are in love with what I love to do. Nobody I know cross stitches,its only you guys that share my love for it....and its so nice to know other people have a passion for what you do too. So I got my 1st full coverage from TCSS and watched Teresa Little Stitcher videos on diagonal 10x10 blocks. I learned parking and how to use pattern keeper. Im 62 years old and you can teach an old dog new tricks,lol. But diagonal is so slow 🐌 im afraid if I follow my threads like I used to do on patterns that are not full coverage,that I will be left with alot of single,Ninja stitches and won't be able to find what color to use or even be able to find that their is not a stitch there. This pattern is confetti heavy so for now im going to stitch diagonal 10x10 blocks and just enjoy the process and try not to worry about how fast im stitching. Its a gift stitch....when uts finished ,I want to have several patterns or wips so I can switch back and forth if I get tired of one. Anyway....great video on to watch the next...love them.

    • @NeedleberryStitcher
      @NeedleberryStitcher  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment about your current WIP and stitching process! Diagonal 10x10 blocks with parking sounds wonderful - just focus on one block at a time and each one is a mini-finish! It will get done before you know it, a little at a time! ☺️💕

    • @jodeewalker6536
      @jodeewalker6536 Před 2 lety

      @@NeedleberryStitcher Haven't thought of my blocks that way before but it does feel like that and very satisfying to finish a 10x10 block...there is so much confetti in alot of the pattern. Im afraid I would get lost if I just followed my thread and let it lead me...at least with this pattern.

    • @jodeewalker6536
      @jodeewalker6536 Před 2 lety

      I've gotten 31,000 stitched in 4 months...starting to get my rhythm down better now that I have it all figured out. Hoping that I might get a little faster now but I also strive for pretty or neat stitches. Working with 2 threads on 18ct is sometimes hard to get stitches to lay flat and side by side. But mostly just trying to enjoy the journey and put as much love and prayers and kind thoughts into this gift that im making for a special family member that lost her husband in 2021 due to Cancer. Cardinals have a special meaning for her and bring her comfort right now. Enough about me...thank you for listening though. Its like I have a friend that cross stitches too. Not used to having someone that truly listens when I talk about my cross stitch. Have a good night...will catch up on another video tomorrow 🥰

    I totally get it about it living all the wild and wanting to work on them all! I think deciding which project to work on is the hardest part about this hobby!
    Isn't it strange that so many of us start a flosstube because we don't really have any stitchy people in our daily lives and then we end up making hoards of online stitchy pals from all over the world. I think it's an okay comprise. 😁😁
    I think the wintry dimension kits are starting to become a bit of a not so guilty pleasure of mine and i haven't even started one just yet!

    I am working on Scenic Farm now! It’s a gift for my veterinarian who has a sheep farm! That is what I was talking about, I hate backstitching the tree branches. I use a big tapestry needle whenever it calls for four or five threads and that makes it easy. If it makes a big hole in the aida, it always closes back up.

    Just found your channel and I’m loving it! I’m a full coverage kit fanatic (and I dabble in just about every other style too!) Also, I almost gave up stitching entirely when my eyes started having problems. Then I found out I have Celiac’s Disease , which was causing numerous health issues, and my symptoms eased when I adjusted to the diagnosis. Now, I just have regular old middle aged vision issues 😂 I am currently doing Lost No More, and that one has very narrow margins. I was freaking out for quite a bit thinking that there wasn’t going to be enough fabric. I think it is the closest I have ever come to the edge of the fabric.

    • @NeedleberryStitcher
      @NeedleberryStitcher  Před 2 lety +1

      Oh, I’m so sorry you had to deal with vision issues, it’s so frustrating, especially in the early days when you don’t know what’s going on or whether you will ever get it resolved. I’m glad you found out what was causing it and have been able to continue stitching! 💕
      Lost No More is one of my favorites! I think the narrow margins for Dimensions kits is one of my pet peeves, not only because of potential framing issues but because it’s not enough fabric for a QSnap or scroll rod to be able to stitch so close to the edge. I’m planning to get some extra fabric and pull my sewing machine out and sew some extra on the top and bottom to make it easier to put Dimensions kit fabrics on my scroll rods.
      Thanks for leaving such a nice comment, it’s always nice to meet other stitchers who love the same patterns and kits! ☺️💕

    • @NeedleberryStitcher
      @NeedleberryStitcher  Před 2 lety +1

      I usually use the kit Aida if the pattern is very close to being full coverage, which a lot of the Gold Collection kits are - no one will really see what fabric you used, and I find that the Aida is nice and sturdy when working with multiple threads and blends. I wouldn’t recommend linen, but if there’s a lot of background fabric showing you could try evenweave if that’s what you prefer to work on. I would make sure to choose a comparable fabric count if switching fabric - for example, if the kit provides 16 count Aida then use a 32 count evenweave and not 28 count since they give just the right amount of threads in the kit for the fabric count provided. If you went bigger you might run out of threads. But to be honest I’ve never had an issue using the kit Aida, by the time the design is done people are looking at the design and not the background fabric. Choose a fabric you love to work with - you have to love the materials you are stitching with or you won’t enjoy working on it. I hope that helps!! Happy to answer any other questions you have - if you decide to start one of your kits I’d love to know what you’re working on! 💕

    Love all your WIPs! I'm just getting into this. I am working on a Dimensions Gold Collection Nativity stocking. Do you find the kits have plenty of floss? I have had a rough start on this for stupid mistakes and have had to frog and throw away some thread. I'm very worried I now don't have enough of those colors. Will they send me more? I looked for some DMC for one of the colors and there was nothing. They are main colors, so I will need a solution.

    • @NeedleberryStitcher
      @NeedleberryStitcher  Před 2 lety +1

      I haven’t personally contacted Dimensions to get additional threads sent, but I know other FlossTubers have mentioned doing so and Dimensions sent more thread, there was no issue with that. I only ran out of thread once (probably because I haven’t finished too many kits yet 😂) but I have a website I reference that has a conversion from Dimensions colors/numbers to DMC and Anchor, and I used that and pulled some DMC from my stash. I used the DMC in a small area that wasn’t right next to the kit thread so even if it wasn’t 100% match it wasn’t noticeable. You shouldn’t have any issues contacting Dimensions to get more threads though.
      The website I use for converting the Dimensions colors is: www.stitchingjoy.com/dimensions_dmc_anchor_coats.html
