We tried the PW-X3 motor mounted to a Yamaha Moro 07 bike, in this video we go through the specs and how it rode on the trail. Please follow us on Instagram / alexbiketester #yamaha #emtb #pw-x3 #ebike #motor
I love my PW-X3. Primarily due to the six-month wait of getting a all-trail 7 29er in XL size. Used only for commuting & light trails as I cannot afford the cost of beating-the-bike on rough terrain, as many CZcams channels display. The PWX3, easily accelerated and conquered a 1900 foot hill(a very steep road), and despite a large portion of battery being exhausted on the climb, the motor got my 250 pound frame(minus the bike), up that hill. Thirty years ago, I could barely get-up that same hill on a Specialized road bike. All I now desire is a better-battery. Faster charging, and longer-lasting, with less weight. The technology exists, yet companies seem to procrastinate the improvement.
Giant has 800 battery, and they are powered by yamaha. I can do around 50 km with 800+ m climb and still.have juice, on a Trance E 2020 pro, 625.battery, and weight 220+.
Cool video! How do you find the yamaha system as a whole since there is no app for it where u can keep track of the miles done on the bike and battery information etc? Thanks!

yamaha have something in the works. The all mtn should have a 630 wh option.

Great video! What colours do the different modes use? Just got the allmtn 7 and it uses pw x3
green is full power, blue mid and white low.
Now it has 20 thousand views woowww!!!
Hi nice review would you say it's as powerful as the bosch
Slightly more powerful. But marginally hard to actually see this.
Hello, quick question. Is it normal for the motor to turn off after 30 seconds if not riding? Is there an auto off time?
Thanks
30 seconds is too short.... a few minutes, in the order of 10 is normal.

You have to go to the dealer to plug in currently.
Ia there bikeshops out there that are able easily service etc
did you test the walk mode? does it have it, pw-2 was very bad at it. Tnx
It's better. Not perfect
It is good in activating the speed delimitator
@@alexbiketesterhow does it compare with Bosch gen 4 which basically pulls you uphill in walk mode?
@@sterpumihai similar , the shimano ep 801 is now stronger than all of them.
compared to Bosch and EP801 in power?
Edges out Shimano. Almost level with Bosch depending on the test criteria
How do you get it in & out of auto?
Push and hold one of the power selection buttons
Damn, you say your pwx3 has no noise or rattle on decents... on my giant with the same motor i get rattle, as per my video and my short i uploaded 😭
Its a while since i rode it, will have to revisit this motor...
