How Lap Times Were Obtained Accurately
The best lap time a vehicle can achieve around a circuit determines how good it is and therefore its place within this list.
Each vehicle was taken around the same circuit multiple times, with the best lap time being recorded. For most vehicles this equates to 10 laps per vehicle, but can often be more to ensure the absolute best lap time has been achieved with the vehicle. There are some caveats to this kind of testing though which are worth explaining below.
*Due to CZcams description length limits the information that should be placed here can instead be read in full here: gtacars.net/gta5/laptime. I recommend reading this for anyone who is confused, interested, or doubts the validity of the results in this video as it explains in great detail the extent to which these results will be useful for you personally, in addition to linking the track used for your own testing/comparison.*
So with that all being said, my vehicle testing should be taken as a guideline. The testing is very accurate for this track and similar tracks when cars are driven close to the maximum without any extra refinements. At the very least you should be able to use this testing to help narrow your field of view for your own personal testing. I would always recommend testing a variety of cars yourself and take into account what kind of tracks you're racing on, what is better for you and your skill level, and even your budget. My testing is meant to guide you, not tell you exactly what to use in every situation.

As a request: could you also put "position in class" on screen for the non-HSW versions? Maybe just an extra line of text?
Edit for clarity: I mean where vehicles rank in class for PC/XB1/PS4 editions of the game. Example LM87 is 6th in Supers for E&E players, but 3rd in Supers for the rest of us.
I count them as two separate vehicles, so when I come to do full class videos you'll see them twice (one HSW version, one regular)
@@broughy1322 Oh fair enough. Just watched on mobile at work so couldn't (quickly) work out where that puts the Torero XO and LM87 in class for us PC plebs.
i have been doing some testing and found a change in car game mechinics for cars that used to down shift when trying to double clutch and the car would stall if the car is on lows and you hit a double clutch it will do a speed glitch these cars are tyrant Asp and xxr so far ill have to find other cars that down shift and stall while double clutching
@@ethanfriedman5584 you are describing the short-shift flag which was covered in the last video
The fact that you've stayed committed to show the community a benchmark standard for all cars' performance in the game for almost 10 years is amazing, mad respect, I hope you get to become a F1 commentator (if you wish to)
agreed
"Lights out and away we go!"
"What a scumbag!"
Croffy1322
Broughy over crofty every single time
He'd do a damn better job than the fucking football commentator reject that's been screaming random shit for the past way too long.
Finally a good testing of the new cars thanks broughy for your hard work it is appreciated
I thought that the Greenwood was a really nice muscle car to drive but didn't expect almost in top 10 for lap time. Pretty agile for a muscle sedan and i'm happy that i sold the Tulip for this one. The top Speed also seems decent.
Finally another one of the few muscle cars that doesn't want to kill you.
Yeah it's really enjoyable to drive. Probably one of my favorites now. Much better than the tulip, but it's not hard to do better than the tulip.
@@kendaldk5634 yeah, the Tulip was bouncing like crazy at every hole or bump on the road.
6th in video, 11 in muscle
Love it too. I bought it for the old looks but Ive spent hours driving it around for no reason. Just not used to such a nice muscle car lol
@@cthree7792 It just lack a little in aceleration and top speed for racing. But for driving around is very good. And as a plus it has the lock-on jammer.
The LM87 is a fun car to drive. I've thrown it around various tracks and it seems to perform better on smooth tracks compared to bumpy ones. You may find that it fights higher up the order on non-city tracks.
Still handles bumps better than the emerus lol
It can’t climb a curb that well though
Its topspeed is a joke
Impressively fast. Broughy may look like the Coraline Dad right about now.
Once again thank you broughy. For all of your hard work. We all do appreciate it very much.
you’re so brilliant broughy. amazing to see you’re still at it giving high quality testing to a game that’s 10 years old!! hands down one of my favorite gaming content creators over any game :)
I bought the LM87 as soon as I saw it and I found it to be incredibly fun to drive, it's the first time I've experienced the rotation that racers always talk about, unlike the Emerus which loses the rear much more easily or the open wheel cars that are just on rails.
You should try the S80RR, very similar car to the LM87
@@KRPTNT I have and I do love it, but its engine leaves something to be desired and has the same ultra grippy feeling I get from the open wheelers. Definitely in my top 5 though.
@@KRPTNT it is, but I get slightly better lap times with the LM87.
I raced that Torero XO against the Ignus and the Krieger with some friends some time ago and we were surprised with the speed it goes, but then those two can pass it on the curves. The battles they can have are almost legendary when everyone is driving at their best (when we get fully committed, braking later, getting aggressive on the curves when needed... It was really fun)
If only R* was able to not release cars with already known bugs like that one, it would have been better than both of them
I think that the ignus even if it is much slower than the torero xo has better handling, and I think that for competitions it goes better (even if I would not buy the torero or the ignus for that price)
@@davidespinelli9649 the emerus is still king (non hsw)
@@bigbadlara5304 Amen! "BuT kRiEgEr Is EaSiEr To DrIvE", well, GIT GUD
@@PabloHenrique92 stop crying
Since I found you like 4 years ago I started collecting all the super cars and putting them in my office garage in order of lap time so I buy them anyway, but I **REALLY** love the way the LM87 drives. I've also collected the 30 fastest sports cars, 10 fastest off roads, 10 fastest compacts, and all the tuners stored in lap time order.
Awesome video. Great content and we'll done. Thank you for your hard work Broughy. Keeping everything informative with no lag etc is impressive and appreciated from a Media major. Thanks again Broughy for all you do.
Amazing work Broughy; you are an asset to the GTA community. I am not sure if you are aware, but the Picador got new customization with this most recent update adding a spoiler. Obviously, this is not going to make the Picador top of the muscle class, but it is still really cool that an OG vehicle like the Picador is getting some better performance almost 10 years after release.
Thank you for the very quick uploads on these new vehicles!
Sports races about to be amazing. 7 CARS COMPETITIVE? I would never of thought
Geezuz Bruff, this is the first time I've heard you sound excited about a testing video in about 4 years. Good stuff.
Hells yeah man! Thanks for all you and the crew do! Much love!
Damn it’s crazy to think I’ve been watching Broughy and playing gta 5 over 3 generations of consoles
And he never disappoints
Thanks for the dedication
You're the best Broughy! I always wait to see your videos before buying new cars, so much great info and it keeps me from unnecessarily wasting money when a new car has a major flaw.
that's some quick work again broughy. you are actually amazing.
Great video as usual mate plus nice to hear some enthusiasm and smiles thrown in again hopefully gta online gets back to a good place 💪🏻
Thank you brough! Your time and effort is appreciated along with anyone who helped you!
Your fanbase/community may be not as large compared to other GTA channels but it is certainly the most active one and that's all that matters in my opinion.
Absolutely love the amount of effort you put into these videos keep up the phenomenal work
Always loved the stirling gt. That vintage drip gotten from the 300sl is just a sight to behold
Well done Broughy, you were so fast to test those new cars, thanks for us (since the luxury autoshop shown in the trailer and promised to test new cars before buying it is lacking in this dlc)
You are THE MAN, you know it. SALUDOS DESDE ARGENTINA, Without your videos I would keep losing races in the GTA hahaha, I look forward to your videos every week. Simply thanks
I purchase all my cars based on your lap time data/videos even though I don’t race &am still on PS4. Nice work, dude 🤙🏼
Not surprised that the LM87 would have a 58 second timing. A stunning beast!
With no top speed
@@ProfessorUFC with alot of top speed
This is the video everyone was waiting in the gta online racing community! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I luv you Mr Broughy thanks for ur consisency on these videos!, huge hug from Colombia!
The Stirling HSW really suprised me
Always Loved the Sound and Looks of IT
Thank you so much, as always, Broughy!
Nice, finally, thats what I've been waiting for
I waited a lot for this video. Thanks
Been waiting for this. Because only the best will do..👏🏾👍🏾😎
I didn't expect a turnaround video this quick. Kudos for the twitch only choice for the dlc. I hope Rockstar manages to fix the downforce bug. What's weird to me is that the Ignus doesn't have that bug but it has an active spoiler. The way you talked about it has got me really keen on getting one when it'll go on sale (Torero XO not Ignus, I have one already). Nice changes to the track btw, now you won't get distracted by the straight road and break in time for the hairpin.
That's curious indeed, maybe they wanted the Torero to be like that? Some sort of a nerf to a really fast car
IIRC Ignus does not have the active spoiler bug because it has no downforce alongside it. The RSX, Comet S2 and Torero XO have both downforce and active spoiler which caused the bug to persist.
thank you for the hard work as always
Great job as usual, thx!
Good stuff! Looking forward to tomorrow!
The Stirling gt is a blast for missions. It has the bug the kuruma had for awhile where it is 100 percent bullet proof. You can't even be shot with the door open.
Was waiting for this before I impulse bought anything. MUCH LOVE FOR HELPING ME SAVE MONEY FOR YEARS ON GTA ONLINE.
Awesome! Longing for the top speed video!:)
I knew the C9 was faster than the 787B/R90CK but I didn’t have the possibility to test it in a race yet, good job Brough
Broughy is the man great info like always
Good stuff as usual.
“Hey if ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” - Sweet after getting the same car.
Also, the Stirling GT was a shocker. Wow, this old girl is still kicking for all these years.
Appreciate your videos brother
Thanks for sharing!
I always watch Broghy's videos for reference then I go and use "The commute" race to test overall speed (not in a flat straight line) and "Grapeseed circuit" to test laptimes, and as of today, for me the Fastest Super is The Torero and the best laptime was with the Deveste 8. I guess the driving style has a lot to do, also how comfortable you are with the car. To think that I used to hate the Deveste. 😄
top tier quality as always
Thank you very much sir!
Very happy about the Stirling GT (HSW) being so good now ♥
thank you so much for this
Hey Broughy, would it be possible for you to change the "Xth in X-class" graphic so that the main ranking is without HSW cars? I believe most of us dont own next gen consoles and are still mainly on PC, and for me personally it was hard to put these new cars' laptimes into perspective, for example with the Torero XO in 11th. I think it would be ideal if there would be an additional line saying in what place the car would be with HSW cars included, but please let me know what you think of that idea. Also, great job as always and I am grateful that you stilm go out of your way to test the new cars even though you said you wouldnt do it so extensively in the future :D
Emerus is the fastest super car without hsw
Been waiting for this:)
Thanks Broughy!
I tested the lm87 myself just to see. I did a ten lap shoot out with the Krieger and the LM87 and I wasn't really surprised when it gave almost the same lap time granted I'm not as consistent as you but I come close. And the fact that the LM87 feels so planted on the ground I felt so comfortable driving it just within the first few laps. And I started showing off just how fast I could go. This car is more fun than to handle than the RE-7B
Vs Emerus?
@@bigbadlara5304 i hadn't tested that mainly cause I never really liked the emerus but I've got a new found love for the vehicle.
@@PaganCurse98 same for me I think the emerus is just more fun to drive than krieger. It's a bit faster too.
@@bigbadlara5304 honestly I enjoy driving the Deveste 8. I don't know why the handling is good but under steer is a nightmare yet for some reason I can race with anything.
Thanks broughy
Thank you Broughy
I Love the LM87, such a fantastic machine
Although the spoiler may not effect the traction bar, it will still have an effect on the overall handling with the different spoilers making the car more understreey or oversteery.
That’s true, but that goes for every body part on every car so I didn’t feel it was worth mentioning.
Would it be possible to say it's position for "old gen" for those on old gen and pc?
You’re a boss thank you
finally got to play the update yesterday evening. But my computer is on the verge of overheating all the time. I did a bit of the new content but wanted to try the new missions today. not sure if I will spend money on a new car of the current selection. Perhaps drip feed or even the new tuners (if there is a hotfix again).
Can't wait for the top speed video. I already know the Torero XO is faster than the Ignus when I drag raced it at the airport. I might trade once i figure out how to paint stock wheels on the Series X.
I got faster lap times with the Ignus, the reduced grip on the XO puts it behind.
@@y_ffordd I don't race on GTA so lap times don't matter much to me.
Nooo Mr Broogles plis test ma helichopper immediatelelely, I need it for my helichopper races!!!
Lol. Thanks for your work!
i love how all the new cars look much better than their irl versions (aside from egt)
that electric Omnis just adds to my wish for a sports sedans class.
now it"s 12 sedan shaped cars within a few seconds, from Jugular down to TailgaterS, 13 if the original Sultan were to also make that list.
would be a nice class to race, especially with tyre wear, where the Jugular shreds its fronts and that way loses its advantage over the bulk of that would be class.
Can you also add place without HSW cars? I play on PC and I don't know exactly how fast are HSW cars so I would appreciate this info in video.
Thank u Broughy
Finally why was this so hard to find
The LM87 has so much grip and corners like a dream, its much easier to get consistent lap times than the XO, but the XO outpaces it in acceleration. Hard to pick one, the LM87 to race, the XO for fun.
Yeah fr idk which to buy🤣😭
I already have the kreiger, but which is better in your opinion? Is it worth replacing or not?
Thank you
Can you make a vid on the fastest cars that are no hsw pls. Because for me and maybe other people, I am confused on what old gen cars are the fastest and most worth buying
I couldn't finish Green Machine (Stunt Race) with the LM87. Couldn't make one of the jumps. 😕
The Corsita is probably named that way because of The Maserati MC12 GT1 Corse reference. The Stirling GT got the 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe threatment here + a SLR Stirling Moss added in the same DLC Coincidence? Probably not.
I think the down force bonus might work for the terero if you break the spoiler but I don’t have a pc to test it
The Sauber C9 is my all time favourite group C car. It’s a shame that Rockstar didn’t even bother to give it it’s thunderous V8 Sound
I prefer the c11, having the same awesome engine but a even more brutal design
@@speeddemon4468 i prefer the c9 design, it’s more simple. Non car guys would have to compare side by side to see which either one is
Love what you do but.... most people still cant get the next gens due to shortages so can you post a link for old gen people since we are still in the majority
Thanx for the upload 👍👍👍👍👍
If the Torero wasn't bugged and the spoiler worked as intended, would I b putting myself at a disadvantage for putting on the classic Torero's spoiler.
Reason I get confused is that my Torero XO has an after market wing but its active wing still raises and lowers
This might just be me, but the LM87 feels like the old RE-7B before it was nerfed
It's such a shame we don't have access to the HSW Stirling on PC. It's always been a personal favorite of mine, absolutely adore the noise it makes and how perfectly it handles.
I hate that HSW is New gen exclusive. Hopefully they add it to PC soon enough
@@102ndsmirnov7 Agreed
What is the fastest Supercar overall on old gen? Is it Krieger and Emerus?? Not sure which one to buy. 😁
Sauber C9 was such a legendary racecar. I’m glad it’s fast in GTA.
He has risen
I really want to see the top speed for the greenwood because I feel like it’s pretty good, either way it’s my new favorite car
You have taste, it pops a fine wheelie too.
The Torero XO is like an old Group 5 car. Lag, massive power and tailhappy! The perfect handling for the Elegy RH4 Supersilhuette on FiveM? The 3M price is too steep for me, but I am gonna spin the wheel nonstop if it gets on the podium.
I was not expecting the bucket ass car to be that fast...
The best part is: We don't need a spare tire to have extra traction anymore. We have proper spoiler options XD
hey, i have found that the torero seems to be quicker with the carbon active spoiler. Not sure if I’m right about this though
It'd be nice to show the rank for both new gen and old gen
I knew something was off with the E-GT, it felt like i was driving a quick land boat even with a spoiler
Yep, its not the best, but it does have Imani-Tech...
Thanks you ;)
ahh i miss this type of videos
When will you include these on your homepage ?
Old Gen and PC have no HSW.
The files have been added to PC, but it seems Rockstar have no plans to actually enable HSW or Next Gen exclusive vehicles to PC.
I am quite peeved about that.
hopefully we get them on pc in the winter update.
No HSW and no GTA+. I'm not going to complain.
By the time HSW arrives on PC it will be outdated, at least we have these new cars to play with.
@@y_ffordd how will it be outdated lmao? It’s just faster cars.
IT'S HERE
So, the Torero is better with stock spoiler, or with modded spoiler?
Amazing video by the way... Thank you...
spoiler doesn't matter with the Torero because of its bug, so pick whichever you like
@@DiNmiTe oh thank you for the answer...
@@DiNmiTe even without the bug it wouldn't matter because of the active spoiler
Heeeeelp.
Sterling GT (with off road tires) cannot go over small medians for me. It's like hitting an invisible wall. Tried high low suspension and different tires
