The San Miguel Market, known in Spanish as the Mercado de San Miguel, is the most popular market in Madrid among tourists. It is located right in the center of Madrid, within walking distance from Plaza Mayor, a BEAUTIFUL 16th-century square lined with shops, bars, and restaurants.
The San Miguel Market is not a traditional grocery market, but a gourmet tapas market, with over 30 different vendors selling a wide variety of freshly prepared tapas, hams, olives, baked goods, and other foods.
Beer, wine, and cava are also available, so the Mercado de San Miguel is a great place to go for drinks with friends, even if you're not hungry!
