I can totally empathize on how this pandemic has fad up our travel to see family, etc. Luckily in July I finally got to visit my granddaughter, for the first time in 2-1/2 years AND meet her brother (my first grandson) when he was already almost a year old. There is old ordinance and artifacts all over phonsavarn , those knifes are all hand made and razor sharp and are incredable value for money the best are made from bomb steel

The Buddha in Muang Khoun was the only structure left after all the years of bombing, I have a few stories from my years living there.

More customers in the shopping mall than the market. It’s called shopping!
Alot of those stalls selling the same items r supplied by a single supplier who supplies them like on a consignment basis, they earn a cut on what they sell, all the goods r chinese origin, the same arrangement in tbe Philippines as well., its all fr chinese suppliers.

Hi Todd. How often do you get the squirts (LOL...I honestly DON'T want to know), but all that meat out for the day in that heat has got to upset something. Cheers for the extra long vid.
Would you actually believe I never have here mate..? True story. Most people will get sick from either drinking the water, or eating at a restaurant where the food has probably been returned to the fridge day after day. Meat sitting out like this was probably killed just a few hours ago, and will more than likely have the fuck cooked out of it and eaten that night. Salmonella/E. Coli poisoning is more common in undercooked meat, and the meat is usually eaten before it has time to develop.
In all my travels, I've only had the squirts once... and it was after eating a burger from a restaurant/Bar in the Philippines. I'm more wary of restaurants than street food. You don't know how many times or how long it's been in and out of the fridge.

Loved my time in Laos about 5 years ago. Long Tieng was on my list but I was told no no no too dangerous and off limits. Phonsavan has changed a bit, I sort of hate you because I want to go back now,

Normally you would fly into Vientiane or Luangprabang, with an adjoining flight from a nearby country eg. Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia.. etc

Howdy Todd,, As usual,,I loved the walkabout,,,very livable little city. Lots of shit to look at and explore. Bikes,,beer n babes! Wow,,was there ever the women,,,the fancy ones in the Oppo shop , and the one that passed you when you were explaining "no have". One cool thing about Lao Buddha's,,most of the time ,they been working out,,not many fat Buddhas. The drying weed,,,is the weed illegal? I quit smoking it back in the early 80s!, made me feel like a retarded moron,,,couldn't remember how to finish a sentence,,I'd forget what I was talking about. I tried again in about 98,,,same result. Then there are the ones the smoke a bowl and turn into brilliant orators,,can talk about anything with extreme clarity. I never could understand how the affect could be so different on different people. I'd like to try it in edible form to see if it would lessen my back pain. The hemp cbd oil is laughable. Kinda went off there for a bit , didn't lol I enjoyed the day, Todd. Another thing we are alike on are the sharp things ,knives,,axes. I've loved both since I was a kid. Bought my 1st axe that I paid for with my own money when I was 11,,my grandfather whom I was with tried to talk me out of it. I've still got that axe,,,still use it,,and lmfao I'm older than Grandpa was when he tried to talk me out of it. A yway,,,,,

Mtnman, I just wanted to let you know that I feel your pain about back pain. I myself suffer from severe pain in my spine, hips, shoulders, a bit of pain with my feet and knees so I know a thing or two about what you are going through. I started using marijuana back in June of this year mostly to help me sleep, it has not helped me much with sleep or my pain. I can however tell you that just recently I watched a doctor here on youtube and found out that magnesium glycinate is something to help with sleep, muscle cramps, spasms, and all-around pain. I gave it a try and I can honestly tell you that it has helped A LOT. They say 400mg per day for men over 50 and women 300mg per day. I tried that amount and it was a bit too much for me this early on. It seems 100mg per day is doing its thing for me at the moment. Hope that helps you bud. Give it a go you never know.
Oh and Todd, I remember a video of yours way back when you said your daughter was going to make you a grandfather. I believe she was 8 months at the time and now one year old already. Time flies, congratulations and hopefully you will see her and the rest of the family again soon.

I always thought “kee lai” means it’s shit in the sense of ‘it’s ugly/useless”’ which would be rather rude to say to a shopkeeper because they don’t have what you want. To say “It sucks” in the sense of a situation being disappointing, I think you’d say “Sia dai”. Maybe check that with Neenee.
