My boyfriend and I are from Pittsburgh but now live in Florida. He found your channel and couldn't wait to show me this video because he knew I would know exactly where this was. Love it!
May I suggest you looking into buying rubber gloves, and possibly a glove pouch that you can loop your belt through. It might seem extreme, but it could possibly become important at some point, but we hope not!!
They just switched a bunch of gas stations here in my area of Colorado to Exxon and Mobil stations all of them that were switched use to be shells which dominate a big part of the market here in CO
They closed shortly after the new Sheetz opened up across from the mall right up the road. They already had to compete with GetGo up at the other end of the road.
Something goin in here soon, store being remodeled inside. New tanks put in ground this past week(August 13). A new gas station will be welcome here as opposed to it becoming an abandoned aging eyesore. Visit butler again, enjoy your video productions!!!!
If this is the one I think it is, it's only just north of where Route 8 crosses 422. My parents used to get me hot cocoa from here when I was a kid on the way to my aunt's as a reward for being good in the car (this was only like 20 minutes from her house, but we were usually traveling in the winter and we lived in Maryland). I'm so sad. It was open the last time I was in Butler, but it's been a couple of years now.
A lot of these convenience stores don't even *own* that air compressor, as it turns out. A local vendor installs it and collects the money, as if it were a soda machine that dispenses air instead of Coca-Cola. I found this out the hard way when trying to air up a tire at the Exxon down the street from me. The machine took my money and didn't turn on; they knew it was out of order but wouldn't give me a refund because it "wasn't theirs", and they wouldn't put an out-of-order sign on it because it "wasn't theirs". So I said, "You don't have to put an out-of-order sign *on* it. Watch this," and made an out-of-order sign from two pieces of metal, a piece of plastic, and a magic marker, and stuck it in the ground *next to* the air compressor. "There. Problem solved. Now people won't be losing their money because you're too lazy to put a sign up, and the vendor who owns the pump can't complain about you putting signs *on* it." Anyway, point is, the $1 to $1.50 for air goes into the vendor's pocket. It also covers the cost of repairing or replacing it when it breaks down.

There's an abandoned BP right down the road from where I live; the sign facing I-81 says "Now Open" even though it has been closed since early 2017!
😂
Clicked as fast as I could!
You're not a nutcase. You're pretty cool, in my opinion.
Ben™ i agree
We're all nuts in our own way

Good video :)
I've seen several Exxon's with a picnic table. Why? Who knows.
Looks like a Hostess Rack from the late 1980'a to late 1990's
I'll never pay for air if can be helped, I'll usually go to Discount Tire for air check.
How far from 422 was this station?
+DigitalDegenerate A mile or two if even that far, I believe. It was not far at all.

Oh hey, I should try WATCHING the damn video. It's not even a mile. 1/2 mile at best from 422.
It just a 1/4 mile to 422 I live by that place
This gas station closed right after Christmas 2017. I don’t live that far away from here.
Kaitlyn M. What business is going in there?
I don’t know why they bother covering the logo
probably so people don't think it it open
Why not just take the sign down so if a new gas station wants to move in they do not have to take the Exxon sign down.
0:36 the cheap way to black out a sign
They close in the winner of 2017 then reopen in fall of 2018 no it not haunt
Hi hey hello
SCOTTY BEHM Hey, Scott!
