This is the most beautiful story and I keep it to read from time to time. Hope others are impressed by it. In Britain we have experienced several circumstances of this type, as is well known.
OK, I seem to be the only guy here. The real reason why I can relate so deeply to this beautiful love story is because I experienced a such a loss 55 years ago, while in the city of Paris. We fell so deeply in love and it all ended one night when she was killed in a car accident, only two days before we supposed to be married and move back to the states. You can never really forget, never, never, never.
I am so sorry for your loss David & there are no words that I can say that will make the pain any less. But I do believe that the two of you will see each other again one day. Peace, Love & Happiness from Alabama ♥️🇺🇲

Zsuzsi passed away today, May 1, 2020 at her home. She was a wonderful, spirited lady. May she rest in peace.

What a touching love story though they couldn’t marry. But at least they are together again forever eternal love in heaven.
What an extraordinary story. I was 12 at the time of William's death and my mother (distantly related to The Firm) was a keen royalist. I heard all about Wallis Simpson and later Princess Margaret, but NEVER a word about this beautiful man, his doomed love affair and tragic death. I never even knew he existed! What a lovely woman. Great doccie!
Several years after his death, (his mother) Princess Alice said: "I was completely stunned and have never quite been the same since." She later wrote that it was "better to have had him and lost him than never to have had him at all." His father Duke of Gloucester died 2 years after William. Alice lived to become the oldest senior royal, dying at in 2004 at age 102.
Winter Came the Duke of Gloucester had had a series of strokes in the late 60s and Alice said in her memoirs that she never told her husband that their son was killed. She said he might’ve learned about it from the TV, but she never knew for sure. She thought it would kill him if he ever found out, and perhaps it did :(

What's on the inside eventually is displayed on the outside, and no amount of money can hide that. Harry has hair loss has well. Yet I have seen him grow significantly more attractive over the past few years. William USED to be the dashing one. Now his smiles seem forced, and his eyes have no twinkle or warmth. Lady Di wore beautiful clothes which made her look nice. Honestly, she was average-looking. This Prince William is "princely" handsome, regardless of the clothes. IN FACT, HE WAS DROP DEAD GORGEOUS.

I thought so too until the end. I did not believe that he had invited her to fly with him that day. They hadn't seen eachother in 2 years and she claims to have loved him and hoped that they would get back together so why didn't she go? I also didn't believe that she chose not to go to the funeral. She wasn't invited. He was dating someone else at the time and that is who went to his funeral. Then I found this on Wikipedia: "While William's intentions regarding his relationship with Starkloff are unclear, marriage was probably not one of them. How was their story not included in The Crown? This is so heartbreaking and needs to be told just as much as the other aspects they have shown on that show.
Epic Dyslexic The Crown has bizarrely left out a lot of really good dramatic scenes and ignored the deaths of several close family members. They skipped Princess Anne’s attempted kidnapping too which is honestly so bizarre.

Regardless they would never have covered this, it covers the immediate house of Windsor. IMO every season is really short so they have to jam pack the most important stuff in those eps.

This was so sad. You see the pain in her eyes and her voice. My God, look at the reaction she had to watching the footage of Prince Williams's plane crash! She loved him then and still loves him now 50 years later. Poor woman. She's still beautiful as well. This is an absolutely heartbreaking love story! One can still see the spark in this beautiful woman's eyes light up as well as the sorrow speaking about her love!
How very tragic. I lost the “one” to an accident 12 years ago. We only had each other for 3. I’ve been alone since then but not lonely. I can still feel his hands cupping my face, using my name and telling me he loved me. That was just hours before he died.
Victor always told me he loved me eternally. As though through lifetimes we’d always be together as we always have been. I believe that. I believe that we will find each other again. After he passed he reached out to me in what others might call coincidence but I call love. Some incidences being beyond explanation.

Never heard this story before. What a beautiful, tragic love story. This woman is incredible, intelligent, lovely at every age, and she has been so loyal to the love they shared as she never even married anyone else after he died. You can tell that even all these many years, she still mourns him and loves him. This is what true love really looks like. Hope someday they are reunited in the hereafter ❤️

This brought me to tears. The pain you can see and feel from her the moment she watched his plane go down (and it wasn't the first time she seen it) was like being punched in the stomach. Actually, I believe it was Diana who wanted their first baby named William - Charles had suggested some of the older style names which Diana rejected.

I am 40 and I can honestly say at my age that it is better to have loved and lost rather than living without. It may change as I age but I doubt it.

I've been aware of the Royal Family for years and can't believe I've never heard of this wonderful young man. This story goes to show that not only the Royal Family but all of us need to get our priorities straight and that our duty needs to live emotionally honest lives and that we need to support our family members in doing the same. If duty to our family means not marrying our true love ~ the family's values and goals aren't healthy ~ and let's just say it, cruel.

Seeing her watch the footage of his plane crash and therefore him dying... my eyes are blinded by tears. I wish this could've had a happy ending for them.
I thought the same thing, too. Actually, I thought she was going to pass out from fright. It almost seem insensitive bordering on cruel to have shown her such footage at her age anyway. What is she......in her 70's / 80's and you go and show her footage of her b/f's plane crashing? Cruel. Very cruel. Not very well thought out.

I don't think they cared if it was scarring to her. I felt upset watching it and I didn't even know him! I can't imagine how she felt.

Amazing and beautiful story.I have lived in Hungary for over 30 years and you can clearly see the Hungarian genes in Zsuzsi.R.I.P. and I hope she is again with William.By the way,Zsuzsi is the shortened version of Zsuzsanna.Her maiden name was Lehel before she got married..In Hungary she would be called Lehel Zsuzsanna as they always say their last name first.

Such a sad story. I never heard about the other Prince William until I watched this. It sounds like he was quite a man, but was hindered in his life by royal protocol that has by now, thankfully, been relaxed. Sadly, too late for this couple. The love of his life is still a beautiful woman, and I sense the love she still carries for William.
I felt the sad emotions and pain of the Prince struggling to choose between the love of his life and his royal duties. Then later to know he died was truly a sad thing to discover. It must have been devastating to Zsuzsi. God bless Prince Williams soul. True love is rare to find and this story is indeed true love so pure. ❤️

I only got as far as seeing William close up because there was Thranduil (without his long hair) looking back! I came to write BP a message to check out Thranduil. It is remarkable how much William looks like him. I still do not see Thranduil when I look at Lee Pace. I think it is because of his dark eyes. Thranduil’s blue eyes are what does it for me! William was definitely a Tolkien elf. Now I don’t want to watch something that ends tragically.
