      Windelino, how did you get the intake manifold off? After the 8 Hex screws, what else did you have to take off, for it to come lose? Mine won't even move...

    Thank you! Just followed your video to replace my oil pressure switch and everything went smoothly. I especially appreciated your tips on the 5/8" bolt on the back of the engine and your method of removing the oil switch with a chisel. Mark S.

      Glad that it went smoothly, the previous model you can use a socket and you can easily remove it, for this model that pipe in the valley is just on the way i have no luck yet on using a socket.

      @@hyundaitech I was ready to pay the dealer to do it just because I knew it was a more complicated job and I'm getting old (haha) but all the dealers in my area were booking over a month out and the switch was leaking pretty bad. Oil was puddled around the intakes and it was even seeing a few drips under the car. Hopefully it's the only leak. I did make sure the filter housing wasn't leaking.

    Do you happen to have a list of the tools needed to do this? Particularly them tool you used on the hose at the 8 minute-ish mark?

    • @hyundaitech
      @hyundaitech  Před 3 měsíci

      Sockets 10 12 14 mm, extensions. Hose pliers, the long one is like a hose clamp tool, maybe you will get lucky by using just pliers. For the socket for the oil pressure theres a socket sold by snap on to make life easier or you can chisel it out or you can grind a 24 mm wrench to fit in the valley of the engine. And 17 mm wrench too i think or 19 im not sure for the gdi rail

    • @hyundaitech
      @hyundaitech  Před 3 měsíci

      The video has low quality , the long tool that i use its a hose clamp tool, maybe you will get lucky with a needle nose pliers to unclamp that hose.

    Will the oil control valve get damaged if oil leaks on it when removing oil filter from top on my 2015 Santa fee 3.3

    Is this switch will be responsible to make a leak down between gear & engine? As i have a little oil leak at morning & oil lamp is warning.

    • @hyundaitech
      @hyundaitech  Před 6 měsíci

      Yes you can verify that if you will see under the intake or place long screw driver in between the v of the engine and if theres oil and yeah most likely the oil pressure is leaking.

    Do you need to replace the injector seals whenever the rail is removed?

    • @hyundaitech
      @hyundaitech  Před rokem +1

      Its good habit to replaced those parts or atleast you have it handy just in case something mess up during removal.

    Ok, so I removed 8 Allen bolts with the size 6 Hex, but the injectors cover doesn't seem to be lose, are there any other bolts that are holding it down? I did remove one 12 mm bolt and bracket in front, but do not see anything else???

    • @hyundaitech
      @hyundaitech  Před rokem

      So you removed those hex bolts, meaning you are removing the lower intake manifold. After you remove the lower intake, you can access the 4 12 mm bolts for the injector rail then from there you can access it.

      @@panic151 as i review the video i made you should be able to remove the lower intake once you remove all those bolts. Maybe just try wiggling the manifold, maybe the gasket got stuck on the head.

    can you identify the total amount time that it took for this job. i have a 2011 Hyundai Santa fe, i think its 3.0 l engine. the oil light comes only only the I am stopped. once I put the gas the light goes off. would that be the oil pressure switch or my mechanic said oil pressure pump. would appreciate your answer. thank you in advance.

    • @hyundaitech
      @hyundaitech  Před 2 lety

      It could be leaking oil pressure switch, if you have a engine oil leak. One way to check is to look at the connector if theres a sign of oil inside the connector i would recommend to replace the oil pressure switch.

    • @hyundaitech
      @hyundaitech  Před 2 lety

      And one factor that can cause that is the oil filter, did the problem just happened after oil service if yes i would check the oil filter installation if not the worst scenario is the oil pump is failing.hipe that helps

    THAT MAKES ABSOLUTELY 0 SENSE.

    • @hyundaitech

      Because the oil pressure is leaking internally and the pressure pushes the oil thru the wire and out to the connector.
