    God bless you brother and thank you so much for your video, I have the exact same year and model of yours, I just went out of warranty,,
    You're doing an unbelievable job to help us I really appreciate your help
    I just have to go to Hyundai for my AC Evaporater to get flush cause it was clogged up, I try to fix it by watching your videos,,but I didn't have the tools,,and it took them almost an hour to unclogg it,,,,and also thank you for helping me knowing how to replace my hood struts, because Hyundai had told me it'll cost me $425 for them to replace it,so thank you so much for the help. I wanna ask you a question
    So can you make a video on how to replace the Horn systems cause mine is completely gone and it needs to be replace, please and thank you.

      Good Morning, Thank you for your words. It's totally appreciated. As far as your horn goes. I would check the fuse to make sure it isn't blown. And if it's not blown, it's gonna be a couple other possibilities. Do you have a air bag light on your car? The horns are pretty easy to replace if my memory serves me right.

    Mr. law Jones, your video was VERY helpful, one of THE best on youtube regarding this 3.3L V6 Lambda motor. Got me out of a jam for sure. Not to mention - thanks for responding to me directly with an answer to a question I had regarding the fuel rails. They do pop out of the head with a little force, they are friction fit with o-rings if anyone was wondering... haha

    To anybody that might want to attempt this repair, I wanted to give you some of the symptoms my car showed, so you can be sure that this is the problem before you dig into this project.
    #1: A low oil pressure light that comes on at idle. This light might go out once you press the gas pedal
    #2: You might develop an oil leak depending upon how soon you catch this problem. As crazy as this sounds, the oil leak can come from the wiring harness. Look at the bundle of wire connectors down by your oil filler cap and see if oil is leaking from one of those connectors or a mess of oil leaking in that area.
    If you have these symptoms, it is almost certainly coming from the oil pressure sensor. This seems to be a fairly common problem on these 3.3L motors

    Hi, How i know if oil pressure switch is damage or rear seals?

  • @lisastachula6830
    @lisastachula6830 Před 2 lety +1

    Do you need to replace the injector seals after removal? Any other things need to be replaced along the way? Are there lower plenum gaskets? I know there is an upper plenum gasket, but not sure about the lower. I was thinking about replacing the oil pressure switch when I change spark plugs, but I do get concerned when pulling apart the high pressure fuel system. My switch is not leaking and I would prefer to just leave it alone and no go deeper than the plugs, but also do not want to take things back apart after doing the plugs!

    • @lawjo1978
      @lawjo1978  Před 2 lety

      Hey Lisa, Yes I ended replacing the injector seats, upper and lower plenum gaskets when I did because I had removed the needed parts to get to the oil pressure switch.

    Okay but what if I need to remove the water pipe? I can’t seem to find that info anywhere and the housing that my oil pressure switch screws into is busted

      You shouldn't need to remove the water pipe. Could you please send me a picture of it to my email? I will try and help out in any way I can.

    Do you think the first generation Azera with the 3.8 engine and the port injection will be easier to do this replacement? Also, shouldn't the oil pressure switch replacement be covered under the powertrain warranty?

    • @lawjo1978
      @lawjo1978  Před 3 lety +1

      Good Morning... The 3.8 is much easier to work on with the oil pressure switch. Once the warranty runs out you pretty much have come out of pocket

      @@lawjo1978 I thought so too lol.. It's on a 2017 Santa Fe that had a couple of recalls on it, one for the anti-theft system and one for some kind of rust prevention they wanted to put on it. Anyway, it had just started leaking oil, so I told them to take a look at where that oil leak was coming from while they had it. The manager of the service department called and said it was this oil pressure sensor, which I kinda already knew. That's when he told me their quote to fix it. He said he could give me a discount and I said, "Whatever discount you're about to offer doesn't matter (probably 10%) cause we aren't even on the same planet when it comes to the price." Anyway, I started this job yesterday. Got it all taken apart and bought the new sensor. I'm about to make some coffee and put it back together this morning. I really appreciate you taking the time to put this video together. You've got the most detailed one on here that I could find. It made this job much easier.

    • @lawjo1978
      @lawjo1978  Před 9 měsíci +1

      @DA-br9xd That's very awesome that you were able to do that repair yourself. It's not a quick repair because the valley is so tight in there. Definitely don't want to that repair any time soon. Lol
      10% would barely cover the sales tax. These stealerships can be hell sometimes lol lol.

      @@lawjo1978 I just got it back together and have been driving it around...so far, so good. The oil pressure dummy light is staying off and I don't see any leaks currently. Fingers crossed it stays that way lol 🤞 I heard you mention something about spark plugs in the video, so I went ahead and replaced those out while I was in there. The old ones didn't look that bad, but I don't feel like messing with that upper intake any time soon to get to those back three plugs lol. I also cleaned up the throttle body. I did cheat when it came to the wrench for that oil pressure sensor. I have an old set of Harbor Freight wrenches. I grinded some off of the 15/16 wrench so that bad boy fit in there like butter. Suffice to say, that wrench won't be doing anything that requires much torque anymore lol. Thanks again for the video. We are back up and running in Kentucky 👍

      @@DA-br9xd Thank you for the update. I totally appreciate it. And that was a good move to change out the spark plugs while you were in it. One less thing to deal with for a while. Especially since you had to remove the intake off anyhow. You should be good for a long while as far as changing out another oil pressure switch.
