  • Dropping JIGS 100'-1000'| How to set a drift for Deep Drop Jigging | Offshore Fishing | Johnny Jigs
There is not to many guys that go fishing with me that I am willing to turn over the helm, but captain Jose is a no brainer for me. He is famous for big game tournament fishing and absolutely loves slow pitch jigging. He can almost set a drift with his eyes close. Joining us today is Jose’s son Jose and an absolute wild man that I enjoy fishing with Johnny Jigs team member Adam. As we headed out the inlet it was what we call on this side of the pond lake Atlantic. Super calm and ideal conditions for heading offshore. We dropped slow pitch jigs in depths from 100’ to 1000’. Jose gives us a rundown of how to operate the helm in deep water and I give you a little insight into deep dropping slow pitch jigging technique.

It’s amazing you guys can stay that vertical down there in Florida in the Gulf Stream in 3knots. I fish the canyons up in the northeast out of ocean city Maryland and 3 knots is a no go most of the time

The manual reel was a Dawia LD35JH with the SPJ power handle.
The electric was a Shimano Beastmaster 2000EJ.
      Tight lines and JIG ON!!!!!

Why can't you make a video and talk about electric reel slow pitch jigging setup. The reel, the battery, the line, and the technique. Will be very popular. Thank you.
