- Heyyy lovelies 💗 in this video you will see me showing you guys how I interlock Mariah’s microlocs with the 2 point rotation method. Y’all have been asking for this for a whileeee lol & I finally came through. Hopefully I was able to shed some light on how simple/easy interlocking yourself can be after a little research. I hope you guys enjoyed this video !!
I am NOT a professional, so always do your own research as well until you’re comfortable enough to do them yourself, or find a certified loctician in your area.
But if you are comfortable I do recommend the 2 point rotation for beginners ✨

It’s so beautiful omg I actually used you first video and showed it to my stylist to get my hair done but I didn’t want my hair to lock so get them taken out one get them remade every 4-5 month 😂😂 I just loved the way they looked on ur girl so I asked her if it was possible to do the and take them out and we found out it’s possible so long we do not interlock the hair. Now that’s my go to hair style and I love it cuz I also get to have my hair out in a Afro when I want
Lol omggg I loveee it 🥹😂💗 ! Thanks so much !! & yes locs can always be combed out, even when they lock. Interlocked locks can be combed out as well, it just take more patience when they are smaller lol so if you ever decided to keep them longer just know they aren’t permanent 😉🫶🏽
@@creolejazz that’s true she said the exact same thing I I’m just afraid and so is she of how effective she would be in taking in out with little to no breakage as she have never done it on such small locks, but this is working out just fine. Yes I am going to do this style also but not lock up. So I’ll wear them for about 5 months and take them out but I’ll interlock only once, so maybe around 2 or 3 month mark. I’ve taken out interlocks before. They are just inverted braids
@@mellochello77 yessss I use to do this with locs as well, I would keep them in almost a year and comb them out for health and growth. Plus it saves a lot of money ✨

Awesome job! I do a 4pt rotation for the majority of my microlocs, but I do a 2pt rotation on my smaller locs. I still see the Y with the locs with more rotations

@@creolejazz I also forgot to mention that a lot of my locs have unraveled too, so I braided the ends of my locs to keep them together instead of retwisting them. (I learned that tip from Tykara Ann and Kats Coils) I’ll have to go through my locs & braid the ends that are unraveling

I’m so inspired by you! So I have 2 questions for you…..1. So you don’t have to do anything with her loose ends? 2. What if one of the twists comes a untwisted?

& I didn’t use to do anything to her ends but we did want them to stay curly so I used conditioner on the ends on wash days.
2. When the twist come toooo untwisted I just braided the ends
& l keep the ends moisturized, I usually oil them daily

Correct ! I braided the roots and twisted down for installation & after 4-6 weeks I did her first retie.

On the initial installation video you just braided and twisted, no rotations right?
Correct ! I didn’t do a 2 point rotation until her first retie around 6 weeks after I installed them.

Yesss, I did the braid and band method
How long did it take you to do the retie
It was pretty quick so if I didn’t keep stopping. It would have took 4-5 hours.
Did you still plait your daughter's hair up top then do the two strand twist and then you interlocked it?
Or did you just two stand twist the whole head?
Yess I braided the root, then 2 strand twist, then interlocked 6 weeks later
